Conquest of the 15th floor part 5

"It's a joke, isn't it?"

Mirai.

His reserves were fixated on Arch Licht who was beginning to rise again. Previously, his body had already been severely destroyed and left only the head and some other parts thanks to Anastasia's light magic.

Everyone mustered all their strength for the final attack that the Deputy Region's head, Anastasia, would make.

Thanks to Rigel's strategy, we managed to corner Arch Licht so he could not avoid Anastasia's Light attack.

I admit the attack was very strong, even I'm not sure if I can survive if hit by the attack. Everyone thinks they have succeeded, but—

The Arch Licht slowly woke up and regenerated its body slowly. Right now, the robe and hood that covered his body had slipped out of the body of his skull and displayed his entire bones.

How could he still survive the element that was supposed to be his natural enemy?!

I curse deeply about this unexpected plot.

"Vice chief!"

Shouted a witch.

I turned my gaze to where the voice was and found Anastasia lying in the arms of the witch.

I can feel the mana slowly entering his body, it seems that he just fainted from running out of mana.

I still have a strategy, maybe more like a gamble. However, this gamble is very dangerous and the chances of success are very small.

We entered the floor boss at noon, this was already a few hours after we entered it. The possibility outside of this moment was already dark yet, it was only a possibility!

"Does anyone know what time it is?!"

The other conquerors turned towards me and shook their heads in response to my question.

"Mirai! We have to do something if not everyone is going to die!"

I shouted towards mirai.

He just silently stared blankly at the slowly standing Arch Licht. Then, he turned his head towards me and said something his eyes still looked empty.

"Freely, I don't have any more power left."

Water began to drip from his eyes either out of fear of death or from being unable to help anything anymore.

It's the worst situation, Mirai and Anastasia can't be expected anymore. I could have just left them by teleporting however,

If I leave them, I won't be able to find out any information about the prince of hell who is on the 25th floor.

This is also the reason I chose to join the Region. I might be able to face Azazel alone but my salvation presentation would be decreased if I didn't know anything about him.

An unknown enemy is more terrifying than an extremely powerful enemy.

"Damn, if only the sun hadn't set yet..."

I might be able to defeat him!

My voice did not come out because it would only give false hope to the conquering forces.

My plan was to take this Arch Licht to a place that was still sunlit. Because, the sun was also a light element so the sun was a natural enemy of Undead-type monsters.

That is the reason they often roam in places that are not affordable by the sun or at night.

Should I activate the Curse series? Since that power comes from a curse, I'm sure there must be a fee required when activating it.

I kept arguing with my mind to use the curse series or not. Then, the person listening to my complaint said something.

"Oy, I heard you muttering if the sun hadn't set yet, right?"

The voice came from the rude man who defended me to fight solo before entering this place.

I don't know what his name is, for now I'll call him Mr. Braunds.

"Yes, why?"

Rigel asked.

"If the sun hasn't set yet, can I assume you can beat the *********bone?"

Ask Mr. Braund.

I didn't say anything about the question and just nodded to give certainty.

Master Braund kept looking at me and nodded with my answer, he focused himself back towards Arch Licht who was already standing upright.

I was surprised by the statement he made. His statement is not just nonsense, but it contains strong words from people determined to see tomorrow.

I did not accept his help, but asked a question.

"Why do you bother to help me?"

Ask Rigel.

"Because, you're the one who fought the hardest here and had a heart as hard as steel. I know you're stronger than anyone here but you're trying to hide your powers."

"That's why I hate you for trying to blend in the dark. However, you didn't try to leave and let us die,

That reason is enough for me to give help to see tomorrow and also, to see your figure fighting harder than anyone reminds me of my son."

I just stared at him in silence. I thought he was among the people who hated me for slaughtering so many souls and taking the core of his soul.

However, I did not expect that he hated me because I was hiding my true strength.

I was amazed at him for knowing I hid my powers that even Mirai and Anastasia did not know about.

"Then I accept your help. We go back to the main topic, do you have a good proposal for hearing my murmur?"

Rigel asked.

He nodded and began to explain.

"If it's true outside this time it's night then I know a place that is just beginning to rise the sun even though I don't know whether the sun has risen or not."

"New place in the morning?! I didn't know that every floor had a difference between day and night."

Rigel.

As far as I was concerned, the entire floor he had been through had day and night at the same time and the fact that there were floors that had different time vulnerabilities obviously took me by surprise.

If that place exists, I can assume that it might be on the upper floor.

"Not all floors are like this. I don't know about the time on the 16th floor and above so I can't say that this floor is the only one with a different timeline."

Said.

"if it's not on the top floor, what floor? Hurry up because that thing won't stand idly waiting to be killed."

Said Rigel while pointing towards Arch Licht.

The Arch Licht began to roar loudly and started reciting magic. His spell was slower than before probably because he had run out of mana and his stamina.

"Seventh floor, I can't confirm whether the sun has risen or not, at worst we have to wait about an hour or two before sunrise."

"Seven floor huh? Then it's fine."

Rigel.

"Then, how are you going to defeat him after knowing that?"

Ask Mr. Braund.

"I'll get that Arch Licht out of here and take it to the seventh floor."

Rigel.

Mr. Braund was surprised to hear my ridiculous statement about bringing the floor boss down to the seventh floor.

"Are you crazy, son? How do you bring the boss down the floor?"

Ask Mr. Braund.

"From the beginning we've all been crazy trying to beat him. However, I have a certain way that I can easily move it."

Mr. Braund was silent without asking anything but the silence was short-lived.

"I'm going with you to defeat this thing, son."

Sir Braund said very seriously.

Even though it didn't help, I appreciated it and rejected it.

"Unfortunately it won't be possible, Mr. Braund. I need you to stay here and explain the situation to the people then, don't let everyone open the door to the 16th floor before I return.

Because it will be troublesome when I come here and another boss has already appeared."

Rigel said with a little joking.

"Well, you might be right. Because you're strong I'll trust you and wait for you to come. Then, one more thing, my name's not Braund, you know?"

I ignored his words, I took a deep breath and held it and charged towards Arch Licht quickly.

Akh jumped right towards his face and when I was right in his line of sight, I shouted my skill.

"Skills: Teleport!"

A bluish-white light shone on the skull body of Arch Licht and I then, we slowly disappeared from the floor connecting the 15th and 16th floors.
