The morning was welcomed. Rigel and the other Heroes had already prepared a good plan to overcome the demons that existed as they went towards where the gates of the underworld were. The other heroes had departed first, with Sylph being their guide.
Rigel stood on the walls of Britannia and stared at the rising morning sun. Her white hair was blown by the fresh wind. From a distance Rigel could see a group of demon troops start popping up. It was very strange for them to attack during the day, supposedly at night they had a clear advantage. Perhaps it was because these demons did not have brains so moved without thinking.
The entire population had been displaced while the soldiers had prepared inside the walls, "Alright, let's just get started..."
Rigel stretched out his right hand and smiled, "Rise up, my death squad..." In ranging from weak to strong monsters appeared outside the wall in an insane amount.
The soldiers who were on standby inside the walls felt a chill stabbing into their backs. Despite not knowing exactly what happened, they believed it was something terrible.
Starting from Goblin to Dragon emerging from the ground one by one. Their total numbers may be hundreds of thousands, or even millions. If he wanted to, Rigel might be able to conquer an entire country and become the only ruler in this world.
The demons were increasingly clearly visible, they seemed to be watching the death squads who were ready to greet them. Not only in Britannia, but in Ruberios and the eastern Empire, death squads appeared. Rigel has put quite a number of them in each country.
He spread out his hands, "O my soldiers, fight as much and as madly as you. This is not a battle, but a war! Now, let's send them to the hell we live in!"
With short words from Rigel, the entire death squad he had rushed forward and charged at the demon army madly. The Dragons used their fangs and claws to tear apart the demons that ignored the army of monsters on land. The demons killed one by one the army of death, but it was just a waste. As long as they were in the Domain of Death, no matter how much they killed it, the death army would only rise again from the ground.
A battle broke out, if seen by others, this would only be a one-sided massacre. Rigel stared at the scene in front of him happily, the chaos in front of him was truly a beauty.
On the other hand, the Heroes rushed quickly towards the place Sylph was leading to. After two hours, they still did not reach their destination.
"How much longer do we need to get there?" Takumi asked Sylph who turned into a small spirit fragment.
"Well, I think it'll take about an hour if we go at the same speed. However, I remain amazed by the thing that can move faster than the Dragon carriage."
Of course, because the things they use are things that will never exist in this world. Right, it's a means of transportation, a car. Rigel has prepared two cars and these are perfect for use on uneven roads. One car can accommodate at least five people. Since the sylph was in the form of a light fragment, he only needed to be in Yuri's lap. For the first car driven by Takumi and the last car by Aland.
"If you want, we can still go faster than this, you know." Takumi said arrogantly.
It was natural that he wanted to behave like that to Sylph who knew nothing of their world before coming here. Without wasting any more time, Takumi increased his speed slightly. He slightly glanced at Takatsumi who was sitting behind him but refocused himself on the streets.
Time had passed, they arrived faster than expected. They parked the car in the forest and chose to continue the rest of the journey on foot. Hazama and Takumi will be the ones to lead the way while Nadia and Aland watch the back.
"Hide your presence so that it is not detected by the enemy. This was only a possibility, but there were definitely one or two demon pillars there." Takumi whispered to the other Hero who nodded.
Hazama walked very carefully until he saw that there were no more trees or plants. The ground is black, strongly suggesting that it prevents the plant from growing. Hazama gives a sign to stop for a moment and keep an eye on the surrounding area until he makes sure that it is completely safe.
"Let's continue."
Hazama takes a step out of the trees, towards the black island. The air feels different, though different Hazama makes sure it's not a poisonous gas.
"It's dry like it just burned or something." Takatsumi took out a little bit of land and checked it.
The texture of the soil itself is almost like fine sand, all that distinguishes is its blackish purple color.
"I can hardly believe that there has ever been a prosperous and developed country in this place in the past." Yuri stared around while imagining what this place was like in its golden age.
Takumi nodded, "Yes. Not even the debris of the building or the signs of this were ever occupied. It seems they really disappeared without a trace a thousand years ago.
Marcel narrowed his eyes into the distance, "There's something strong ahead there." He sensed a massive pool of magic energy was not far in front of them.
"Looks like that was our goal, before we left, tell Rigel that we've reached our goal." Hazama instructs Petra, who has a device to tell Rigel about this.
After Petra pressed the strange button, Hazama nodded to confirm that they were ready to ambush something ahead of there, which was likely the gate of the underworld. It could even be a demon pillar.
They are in their respective positions and Hazama leads an ambush with his outstretched Shield, ready to protect at any time. They moved in unison and in front there stood a man blocking the way. Right behind him, stood a sturdy black door that seemed to be connected to another dimension of this world.
"So that's called the gate of the underworld, yeah... It's smaller than I imagined." Marcel muttering.
"And the man who guards the gate..." Takumi said, and Sylph finished Takumi's words.
"Devil's pillar, Dante. From the other demon pillars, it might be him who has the most troublesome ability, Unseen Relevation."
Takumi did not know what his abilities were like. But perhaps as the name suggests, his abilities may be related to something invisible. If so, it must be very difficult to fight against him.
"Welcome, Heroes. What business has brought you to this abandoned land?" Dante stretched out his hand with a smile on his lips.
Hazama did not lower his guard, instead he increased his surveillance of Dante. Another hero remained standing behind Hazama, just in case something unexpected attacked them.
"What's up, Nadia? you look weird." Yuri asked Nadia who was by his side.
Nadia who was staring around, front up and back confusedly looked at Yuri.
"Well, I feel some strange aura surrounding us. It may be just instinct, but it forms sharp thorns around us."
Hearing Nadia's explanation, Hazama thought of something. Since the beginning they came here, they've been in Dante's trap.
"Hahahahaha, what a great instinct. You're right, coming here means you're entering a lion's den!" Dante laughed happily.
Hazama hastily lifted his Shield into the air, "Shield Area!"
A shield of light enveloped the entire Hero and along with it, something in large numbers struck Hazama's Shield of Light. Luckily, he activated it in time.
"Damn it! if this continues the Shield Area will be destroyed!" Hazama.
They can't do anything in this situation. Unless they've found a way to detect this attack. They could sense the aura of an attack, yet it was too faint to be a clue.
Nadia who was able to clearly sense the various forms of the attack began to understand something. He quickly exited the Shield Area and ran towards Dante.
Dante smiled and attacked Nadia with his ability, but to Nadia's surprise he was able to avoid it without any problems.
Dante muttered in admiration, "Hoho? you may be the second Hero to see my attack."
He moved like a cat, agile yet elegant. Nadia tries to get close to Dante while trying to find a way to overcome her invisible power. Takumi observed in silence. He was trying to find something he could use to avoid the invisible attack.
He did not neglect a single second of time to observe Dante's attack.
No matter how great his strength was, it must have its own flaws.
In his observation, Takumi found something surprising. It was indeed only a glance, yet Dante's strength gave off a faint purple glow in a few seconds before completely eliminating. Whether true or not, there is only one way to be sure. Takumi quickly exited the Shield Area and darted towards Dante.
"Oflock! don't act recklessly!" Argo gives a warning, but Takumi ignores him.
Realizing that, Dante immediately deployed his attack towards Takumi. In Takumi's Vision, time seems to be moving slowly. He only focused everything to overcome this attack, otherwise death would have picked him up.
So right, I can see it, it will only take place in an instant...
The slowly disappearing purple light was right in front of Takumi's face, in a split second, Takumi lowered his body down and managed to dodge it.
Not only Dante, but Nadia and the other Heroes were shocked by it. Dante mustered another attack because he thought it was just a coincidence.
Takumi crossed his spear and managed to resist his attack. It was not a mere coincidence, it was indeed because Takumi knew about it.
Takatsumi muttered, "What's possible." and ran towards Dante.
seeing another Hero approach him, Dante exerts an attack on him and Takatsumi manages to evade him by shaking his sword.
"Watch carefully! its power would give off a faint glow for approximately one second long!" Takatsumi tells her what he and Takumi found.
"Yare-yare... Now so there are more and more people who know my lack of power... Normally, I wouldn't let them go alive." Dante gave off a disgusting and horrifying aura that made everyone wary.
It doesn't look good. Other than Dante getting serious, the demons started to come out from the gates of the underworld and fly to the corners of the place.
"Tsk! we mustn't waste any longer than this, otherwise those demons will continue to roam."
Even without needing Takumi to warn, all the Heroes knew that clearly. They don't know how Rigel will overcome so many of them that they must stop the demon army as soon as possible.
"If your goal is to destroy this gate, then you should be able to step over my corpse first."
A purple glint appeared more than Dante's back and was about to dart towards the Heroes in crazy numbers.
*bombs!
An explosion in the sky that shook the ground appeared. Dante turned his attention, it seemed that an object had shot out and struck the demon that came out. Dante didn't know why it got here until he realized something.
"You guys..."
Takumi smiled at the angry Dante, "We came here just to give Rigel some coordinates so he could launch his weapon in crazy numbers. And that one missile will be the opening of the fireworks." Takumi pointed to the sky and Dante followed what Takumi had pointed at.
Far above the sky, there were four strange flying objects. Dante thought that it was a Dragon, but immediately denied his opinion after seeing its full form. When he looked back at Takumi and the others, it was too late. They had left by teleportation to a distant place.
"Based on those fuckers!" Dante.
An unmanned jet plunges directly into Dante and the gates of the underworld.
"Hahaha, I wonder how you'll look when you see me using the same strategy as you, Lucifer." Rigel let out his smile while controlling the drone from a distance.
Same strategy as Lucifer. Rigel used the other Heroes to liken him to the Demon Pillar guarding the gate. Rigel thinks that there are enough of them, but it turns out that only Dante is waiting. That makes Rigel's plan easier.
"Please enjoy, the greatest explosion that mankind has ever made..." Rigel snapped his finger, and simultaneously, the drone he had sent to where Dante and the gates of the underworld had exploded.
"Damn it! I won't let you destroy the gate!" Dante roared and extended his hand to the sky.
His originally invisible power now began to manifest itself as a black shadow. Dante tried to swallow the plane that was about to explode into his power. But it's free.
The explosion did not come from the plane, but what the plane was carrying. The most powerful human weapon on Earth, the Nuclear Bomb.
*Duarrr!
The second time the world felt a massive explosion powered by Nuclear. Weapons of mass destruction. Even Dante was unable to completely suppress the power of the explosion. Rigel could clearly see the smog forming in the sky from a great distance. The wind was blowing because of the explosion.
Rigel smiled and snorted happily, "Heh, the War is just about to start."
