Take a Dinner

The next day, at exactly four in the afternoon Laura arrived at Bryan's house. Today, this day, Bryan ordered Laura to come in late afternoon on the grounds that her date would come later than usual so she didn't want the decorative flowers she had ordered to wither when her date arrived.

“Good afternoon, Mr. Bryan ordered decorations for his room from Secret Garden,” Laura told the waiter who opened the door for him.

“Please enter, Miss. Sir has told you that you will come,” said housekeeper Bryan, then a little away from the door to make room for Laura to pass.

“Is Mr Bryan home?” ask Laura. To be honest, Laura felt uncomfortable that she had to work while being watched. Moreover, he knew that Bryan was not watching Laura's work but was watching Laura's body movements.

“Ah, no, Miss. He hasn't come home yet,” replied the waiter. “You just go straight into Mr. Bryan's room and decorate the room like that time. I will return to the kitchen to continue my work.”

Laura nodded her head. Girls can breathe a little easier now that Bryan's not home. That meant, she did not need to be dizzy thinking about how to control herself who always felt intimidated by Bryan's gaze.

Laura then goes to Bryan's room and does her job quietly. The girl even hummed a little while doing her work. Her carefree heart made her work feel much lighter. Without Bryan always making her nervous, Laura could very quickly finish her job.

So focused on doing the work, Laura until not realizing that there is currently someone who is standing in the doorway of the room and watching him in silence.

That person is Bryan. She had just come home from the office when she saw Laura decorating her room. The man leaned his body on the doorway as he rolled the long arm of his shirt up to his elbow. Not to forget he also removed the tie and opened the top two buttons of his shirt so as not to feel sultry. Seeing Laura again made her body feel hot from passion.

“Are you done with your work?” bryan asked when he saw Laura packing her things.

Laura who heard the question gasped and turned her head. His eyes widened when he saw Bryan was already standing not far from him.

“You have come home apparently,” said Laura.

“No need to be too formal. I'm not your boss,” said Bryan.

“But, technically you are my boss because you are a customer in my place of work, Sir,” Laura replied.

Bryan rolled his eyeballs. “I told you not to be too formal. Just call me Bryan. I'm too young to be called ‘Pak’,” protests Bryan.

Laura nodded her head. “Alright, Pa—I mean Bryan,” Laura replied.

“You're going home?” ask Bryan.

Laura nodded. “Yes. I'm done decorating your room. My work is done,” Laura replied.

“Stay for dinner with me,” said Bryan, making Laura surprised instead of playing.

“You're taking me to dinner?” laura asked in disbelief.

“Yes. I asked Lola for permission. Would you like to have dinner with me tonight?” ask Bryan.

Laura's worried. Actually he wanted to say no, but given that it could offend Bryan, then he finally agreed to Bryan's request.

“Alright,” replied Laura while nodding.

“OK. Then I'll clean up first. You can wait for me in the dining room,” Bryan said.

A few minutes later, Bryan finally came out of the room and approached Laura. Bryan takes Laura to the dining room to have dinner with him.

Laura's mouth gaped as she saw the many types of dishes prepared at the dining table. He looked towards Bryan. “Will any guests come?” tanyanya's confused.

“No. I don't know if you like fish, meat, or vegetarian. So, I asked the chef in my house to put up various types of cuisine,” explained Bryan cuek. “Sit.”

Laura pulled up the chair then landed her ass on the chair. “You don't have to bother like this. Whatever's on the dinner table, I'll eat. I'm not the type of person who likes to pick and choose food,” said Laura, feeling bad for Bryan.

“I don't feel bothered at all, Laura,” Bryan said.

They also started having dinner together. Throughout the dinner, Bryan couldn't take his eyes off Laura. Now, he's getting convinced that he wants the girl. But, now he had to find out first what was Laura's status.

“Laura, do you have a boyfriend?” ask Bryan.

Laura turned to look at Bryan. “No,” the answer is short.

“Why? Beautiful girl like you must be liked by many men,” said Bryan.

“I really don't want to be in a relationship with anyone,” Laura replied.

During dinner, Bryan tries to find out about Laura. However, hearing Laura's response as if she did not want to tell about her personal life Bryan then thought that Laura was not interested in being her date.

Since that night, Bryan kept a distance from Laura because he thought Laura was a good woman.

A few days passed. Now, it's time for Laura to receive her first paycheck. The girl smiled happily when she saw the money Lola had just given her.

Although he used to live well, he always worked in the company of his parents so he felt that he could not appreciate what he had. While this time, he was actually working hard to earn a salary so he felt even more grateful.

“Reyna, today I got my first salary. I'd like to buy you a bite to eat at the cafe across the street. Do you want to?” take Laura to Lola's daughter who is already getting along with her.

Reyna enthusiastically nodded. “Of course I want to, Laura,” the answer is happy.

They went to a cafe not too far from the Secret Garden. There they started chatting and talking about Secret Garden's birthday.

“Laura, Secret Garden will soon be celebrating its twentieth anniversary. You can come, ‘kan?” ask Reyna.

“Will there be a man as handsome as Mario Casas?” joking Laura, make Reyna laugh. During a month of working with Laura, Reyna also knew that Laura idolized Mario Casas.

“Maybe. Who knows, right?” reply Reyna while spreading her shoulders. “So, are you coming?”

“Of course I'll come, Reyna. After all, I feel very grateful to be working at Secret Garden,” Laura said.

“Good. Should we go to the salon together later?” ask Reyna.

“Why not?” reply Laura while chuckling.
