19. The Smile that is saved

I opened my eyes again but now it seems like I have truly been in my real world. There was no one around me when I woke up from my dream.

I looked around me, the room I was staying in was made of brownish wood and was quite narrow. I got up from the wooden bed where I was lying earlier and walked out of the room to find out where I was.

When I arrived at the guest room, I heard people talking from the terrace of the building that looks like this simple cottage. Out of curiosity, I ventured out and saw who they were.

"Oh... Are you awake? how you feeling?" he is Ji-hyeon who distracts her from Mozhawa, her interlocutor, when she sees me coming down the wooden stairs approaching them.

I bowed a little to them to give my respect.

"I'm fine, what happened? why are you guys here? and how am I supposed to be here?" I asked all the things I wanted to know from the beginning my eyes opened.

"You ask a lot, don't you?" ji-hyeon says with a slight laugh and shakes her head.

Mozhawa just smiled at me seeing how I felt. She looks like a goddess now. How lucky I was to meet them goddesses in the real world. If my meeting with Mizhawa wasn't that bad, I could see him smiling like his brother.

"It's too early to tell me everything, and I see that you're still not much better.It's good to go in and rest, Gi Tae" Mozhawa subtly asked me to rest.

Not too bad just my head still throbbing a little, probably because I just woke up from my sleep.

I mean, I'm not in much pain right now and I'm really curious about what's going on, because the last time I saw them, our experience wasn't very pleasant. I might even be a fugitive right now.

"I'm fine Mozhawa, it's a small thing not to worry about" I said with a faint smile to remove her worries.

"You were unconscious for a week Gi Tae? you obviously need some time to recuperate!" Ji-hyeon utters a conversation that surprises me.

"Me, unconscious for a week? how come? what the hell happened to me?" my mind keeps wondering.

Not long after we chatted, Chaeyun was seen running from a distance towards the front yard of the cottage with a surprised face.

"Gi Sung!" Chaeyun notices Ji-hyeon and Mozhawa's facial changes when she forgets to call me by my real name "mm-I mean Gi Tae!" he seemed to have trouble calling me when he stopped in front of us.

I don't blame him, it's all pure lies. As for me, I have no problem with the name they gave me, be it Gi Tae or Gi Sung, I am still that person, the one who carried the curse with him.

"Chaeyun, are you here too?" I broke the awkwardness between them and asked in astonishment while pointing at Chaeyun.

"of course! I promised you, didn't I show you the way back to Sun Gu?" chaeyun replied with a back put on her arrogant face.

Unexpectedly, the sadistic girl he could show concern for my whereabouts. Although not saying it directly, but I could feel that his sentence showed that he still cared about me.

But I was actually curious about why they were with me. Will they take me back to prison after I wake up? oh no. This can't happen. Should I run away from them.

"Don't think you can run away from us again...!"

I woke up from my daydream after hearing Mizhawa's voice coming from nowhere. He walked by draping his arms over his chest as he approached me past Chaeyun, Ji-hyeon and also Mozhawa who were standing before me. Her face was expressionless, but how could someone so cold could look so beautiful at the same time.

We all looked at him with the same gaze, which was worry. Because last time he was the one who found out about my lies and put me in jail. I don't hate Mizhawa, I just feel uncomfortable around her.

"Mizhaa..." Mozhawa stopped to continue her sentence due to a gesture from Mizhawa's hand.

Mizhawa looked at Mozhawa for a moment, then looked back at me very coldly.

"You won't be able to leave us again! because from now on you are a part of us...!" continued Mizhawa while smiling thinly with the tip of her lips slightly raised.

I can hardly believe this, is he smiling? is he really smiling? I didn't dream.he smiled at me!.

"Stop thinking silly things, Gi Tae! I can hear it!" Mizhawa again put on an upset face.

Oh, I forgot he could listen to my head. I have to put my face where I am! it's really embarrassing.

I just bowed embarrassed. Perhaps at this time the red hue can be seen by them. I gotta get out of here.

"That's..!" my throat suddenly itches, making me choke and stammer "uhmm. I-I have to rest, it seems like ak-" I haven't had time to continue my sentence, Ji-hyeon has already grabbed him first.

"Hey.. hey!! calm yourself... Are you ashamed of Mizhawa? aaah~ I know! you must be suing!" I immediately covered her mouth with my hands, not wanting to hear her further.

My sudden movements surprised the others, especially with Ji-hyeon who is currently struggling to ask to be released. What is Ji-hyeon thinking!.

I just put my smile on them.

After things got better, Ji-hyeon asked me to join her in the front yard of the cottage.

After I noticed again, it turned out that the cottage yard where we stayed looked quite spacious, so it was enough to be used as an arena for martial arts.

Mizhawa followed his heart to go to a forest on the border between Hira and Cho Gu in the Eastern part of Daegun. It is said that in the forest hid a group of black magic witches with high levels. Where people are strictly forbidden to explore the forest for their safety.

But Mizhawa entered it without fear. No need to be reminded, Mizhawa did not have fear of anything, except one thing.

When he reached the cave door, Mizhawa saw Gi Tae floating in the air with his chest raised. His body looked like a sleeping person but something made him float.

Mizhawa approaches Gi Tae's body which is hovering high in front of her. When he managed to look at Gi Tae closely. How shocked Mizhawa was, as she watched the black smoke around Gi Tae's body envelop him. His feelings were not good, he thought that he should stop this.

"Gi Tae's! wakeup!" Mizhawa shouted at Gi Tae's body from below.

However, there is no change in Gi Tae's body. He remained floating without awareness.

Mizhawa, looking for a way to stop this, flies up close to Gi Tae's body and sits on top of it and shakes Gi Tae's face, hoping this will help.

Inside Mizhawa's head, she feels Gi Tae is answering her call. Mizhawa's worried face changed instantly. He now had more hope in his expression.

"Yes! it's me, wake up! before it's too late!" mizhawa's chest was seen going up and down following a happy expression mixed with her worry. He was sure, Gi Tae could hear it, just that his body was locked by something.

Not long after came an old man who also floated in front of Mizhawa. Mizhawa, who saw this, was shocked and moved away from Gi Tae's body.

"Don't fear my son, now your destiny has begun. Strengthen yourself, this young man is the only way to head towards the nine lights. Do not let the black shadow succeed in obtaining his soul. You must unite..."
