15. Black Among White

The morning sunlight caressed Gi Tae's face through the bedroom window. He had never slept this comfortably, on a soft, warm mattress inside Hira's palace.

For a total of three nights he stayed at Hira's palace until now, if not for Sazhawa and Mozhawa's overly pushy request, he might have gone on his way home alone.

Gi Tae still has to stay in Hira for a while, until Chaeyun decides when to return to Sun Gu. He has no other choice, Chaeyun threatens that he will punish him if he later escapes from Hira and returns to Sun Gu in a fugitive condition.

So for now, he still felt safe together with the princesses of the seven kingdoms, even though he himself doubted the word safe.

"Well, I didn't expect you to enjoy the days in this palace, I thought you'd hate it" ledek Chaeyun who came from nowhere to disturb Gi Tae's slumber.

Gi Tae slowly opened his eyes and sat down to process his surroundings. Of course he heard Chaeyun's noisy voice, but he was only half conscious to be able to answer it.

This made Gi Tae instantly wake up and stand up from his bed. His eyes were wide open and his mouth was flabbergasted, not believing what he was listening to.

After all these days he whined to invite Chaeyun to return to Sun Gu. Finally, Chaeyun listened to her plea. Gi Tae's longing for his parents can't be lifted. The happiness of being reunited with them cannot be expressed in words.

"Really!" her happy face was so "thank you so much Chaeyun!" gi Tae's spontaneity hugs Chaeyun out of pleasure.

Gi Tae held her warmly and shook Chaeyun's body expressing her happiness. A hug of happiness he had never given to anyone other than his family.

Chaeyun was instantly petrified. He was shocked by the sudden action he received. There had never been a man who embraced her so happily. If small things like this can make someone happy, of course he can make it happen.

All this time Chaeyun had only gone to make trouble, she had never manifested happiness to someone, even for trivial things. He did not know that seeing others happy would make him happy.

"Chaeyun, did something happen? why are you keeping quiet? red cheeks! are you sick?" Gi Tae holds Chaeyun's two worried arms and continues to bombard her with questions.

Without thinking much, Gi Tae placed his palm onto Chaeyun's forehead to confirm what she was thinking.

Chaeyun was increasingly surprised by his actions. He returned to his senses and brushed off Gi Tae's hand, leaving Gi Tae with his arms still astonished.

"He-stop! i... I'm fine...!" he said in confusion and lowered his head as he continued to blink his eyes, thinking about what was happening to him.

Why was his heart suddenly racing, did he fall in love with it? no-no, that can't happen.

Chaeyun stares at Gi Tae's face to confirm it. When he did that, his face again felt like it was burning to make his eyes widen.

Instantly he runs away leaving Gi Tae still astonished and worried about his circumstances.

"Chaeyun wait!"

Meanwhile in Sungujeon precisely in Moon Gi Tae's small house, Jung Jieun, Gi Tae's mother is worried about her son's whereabouts. It's been almost a week that Gi Tae has left and hasn't returned. He also never knew.

Her beautiful and petite face was shrouded in worry. To make Moon Yongjae, the husband again calms his mind.

"Jieun, I told you, he'll be fine. Our son is fine, I have not felt anything that could harm him" Youngjae said, clasping the wife's hand, staring out the window.

Even though the day was so bright, but it was unable to comfort him in the least. Gi Tae is his only son, he doesn't know what will happen to him if something happens to his only son.

"You always say that everything's gonna be okay? do you remember what happened before? even your mind can be manipulated, my husband!" with a rising tone of speech and teary eyes, she stared intently at her husband and refuted the words she thought were nonsense.

As a father, Moon Yongjae must also be worried about the whereabouts of his son, coupled with his current condition that is bearing a curse.

He's been trying to find Gi Tae. He had gone through every forest in Sun Gu, even he had time to search the city center and to the villages in Sun Gu and ask everyone he met. But to his misfortune, he found no clue where his son had disappeared.

He often remembered a prophecy once delivered by an old witch.

Moon Yongjae is still looking for a way to cure the curse his father gave to his son. He doesn't want Gi Tae to grow up taking sin, if he can be changed, then he voluntarily surrenders himself to replace Gi Tae.

"She is doomed, the black shadow has set the path for her" the great magician before Youngjae said with his eyes closed.

In the middle of the forest on the mountain, where the great wizard meditated with a stone wide enough, he conveyed what Youngjae wanted to know.

Moon Yongjae who came alone with only capital courage, did not give up. He wants to change the fate of the child.

"I beg you, help me... I'll give anything for my son to avoid the curse!" Youngjae asks by lowering his pride.

"Destiny is in line" the magician finally opened his eyes and looked at Youngjae sharply "Until the time comes, There will come nine black lights, and before the darkness spreads he must be able to gather all the energy of the nine lights. They were the key to the rise of the greatest power instilled by the black shadow. He could be the cause of the destruction or he would be the one to be destroyed." added the witch.

Moon Yongjae had absolutely no idea what the old witch meant back then. He was just trying to process every word that came out of his mouth.

Until it comes at this moment. As the old witch had said, everything that happened was outlined. Gi Tae had already arrived at the moment where his strength would rise. And the two more terrible things are, that power can be a prostitute, or she will be destroyed.
