65 - Fog Profits

Six warriors were barely exposed to the huge acid spout from the spider monster. But a wisp of greenish light was seen and directly pierced through the fearsome monster's back.

The explosion was heard and produced a shock wind mixed with small pieces of rock. The swordsmen are seen using their swords to fend off those fairly strong boulder throws while maintaining their standing position from being thrown.

Long Yang Wang was protected by Wei Zhang Zihan. On the sidelines of his blurry eyes from being blocked by the shock wind - he saw the silhouette of a person standing on the back of a spider monster that had fallen before him.

Wei Zhang Zihan's gaze also began to clear up. He gasped when he found out that the figure that was the strange green trajectory just now was none other than Chu Kai. He really looks very surprised.

"Decoyar Wei..!" Chu Kai saw Wei Zhang Zihan first and called out the name of the swordsman. He was just about to breathe a sigh of relief when he suddenly realized his current position.

Chu Kai's eyes widened. He had previously seen spider monsters and aimed his weapon at attacking, but it was unexpected that the monster would be this big. Not to mention, he subverted it with just a single strike.

"W-how can you?!" Chu Kai was shocked. "Am I really that strong?!"

Chu Kai circulated a glance and saw that not only himself was shocked, but also the warriors from other sects including Wei Zhang Zihan and Long Yang Wang.

"I-" Chu Kai was shocked. Just about to open the sound when the body of the monster under his feet moved. He immediately jumped down and took his distance from the monstrous creature.

Chu Kai's previous attack was indeed deadly, but that fog spider still had advantages and it was about how he could split apart. Now there were two spiders with a fiery red pattern on his back.

"Darker Wei, are you okay?" Chu Kai approached Wei Zhang Zihan, but without answering his questions, his arms were reached by the holy warrior.

"You shouldn't finish off the monster," Wei Zhang Zihan opened his voice. "Every time the mist spider is attacked and killed, it splits and comes back to life. We're getting more and more difficult to deal with them,"

"Where might I know," Chu Kai became panicked. It was only fitting that there were many warriors here, but not a single spider monster had become a corpse. Such demonic beasts clearly possessed troublesome abilities.

"This will be very dangerous," one of the swordsmen muttered and it was heard by Chu Kai.

The warrior said, "We could have died here before entering and looking at the contents of the ancient tomb."

"I can't keep getting caught up in this situation."

Chu Kai was startled as several warriors quickly charged into the cave. The warriors were mostly from the black stream and they even sneakyly attacked the lips of the cave until it collapsed to cover the entrance of the people.

"Damn it! How dare you..!" a warrior cursed. "Not shameless. They did it on purpose and left us with monsters that this could not face."

Long Yang Wang also looked surprised and it did not take long until the look of his face changed as if filled with anger. Both of his hands clenched firmly as he stared towards the lips of the cave that was already covered in rocks.

"I will definitely kill them," Long Yang Wang muttered and it was as if not only himself was steadying his heart for the purpose, but also the other warriors.

"Everybody dodge..!"

The cry of one of the warriors made Chu Kai wake up and jump dodging. He witnessed how these warriors fought against spider monsters, but still there were among them who could not withstand the attack power of the monsters.

The fog spider itself was getting more and more agile in attacking. At present, not only acid attacks are launched but also attacks in the form of sticky nets which are of course terrible if they hit the warriors.

Wei Zhang Zihan fought alongside two warriors from the White Jade Sect. The two were senior disciples who chose not to neglect the lives of others. In fact, they could have taken advantage of this condition and ran into the cave of the ancient tomb.

One of the warriors was named Huang Zhang and the other was Chen Xiao Yan. Chu Kai saw how the two warriors were cooperating with Wei Zhang Zihan. The three people attacked the spider monster while helping the warriors who were getting exhausted.

"I have to do something. They were all barely able to fight anymore," Chu Kai was still thinking when a swordsman was struck from the leg of a spider.

Seeing the incident, Chu Kai spontaneously shot up and took over the fight. He used the spear he had in his hand and attacked one of the spider's legs. It was just that the skin of the monster's legs was extremely sharp and hard.

"Didn't I succeed in subverting one before, why would it be like this?" Chu Kai was astonished at how powerful the foot of the fog spider was because his weapon could not even destroy one of the eight legs that the monster possessed.

Long enough to think, Chu Kai finally understood that this spider only had strong legs, but the other body was easy to slash. That's why the warriors are more focused on attacking the spider's body parts other than its legs.

One of the spider's legs was finally cut off although there was still no sign that this would be an advance. Chu Kai only continued to lash out his attacks and occasionally focused on dodging the reply from the opponent.

Wei Zhang Zihan looked at Chu Kai's actions that were more eyeing the foot of the mist spider than the head or back of the creature. He knew it was a difficult matter, but Chu Kai managed to slash the other two legs and not to mention the reaction of the spider groaning in pain.

In a manner of twisting his body movements, Wei Zhang Zihan used the Full Breathing Technique which made him dart quickly. Lightning snatched from Wei Zhang Zihan's sword blade and the sound of breaking the wind was so loud it sounded.

Four fog spider legs were slashed and did not stop there, Wei Zhang Zihan again launched an attack so he managed to subvert the fog spider. The monster fell down and could not move let alone let out its acid attack.

The change happened to the fog spider where the body that no longer had legs began to dry as if its blood and flesh were being sucked out. Huang Zhang and Chen Xiao Yan watched the change and looked at each other, they now knew what to do.

"Take the leg!" one swordsman exclaimed, "The fog spider has a weakness in its legs. Slash his legs as hard as possible..!"

Chu Kai realized that there was a change in every movement of warriors around him. Even the previously exhausted swordsman seemed to get new energy to launch a counterattack. The plot of the fight is now starting to look on their side.

Chu Kai breathed slowly before helping Wei Zhang Zihan defeat the spider monsters. The fight was still extremely fierce with countless stray attacks on both sides. But at least now there is a glimmer of hope to be free from the collection of demonic beasts.

The grooves where Chu Kai and Wei Zhang Zihan were were located looked restrained, but not to the place where the warriors were inside the ancient tomb cave.

The warriors, who were mostly from the black stream, had made the mistake of collapsing the main entrance of this cave. They most likely forgot that the conditions inside the cave were much more dangerous than outside and now they are reaping the risk of the choices already made.

The cave walls of the ancient tomb were overgrown by lunar grass plants and now there are blood stains on the grass. Not to mention the same blood also adorned the walls in a mess.

The terrible thing is that there are many lifeless warriors on the floor. They were killed with limbs separated and swords stuck in their heads and other parts of their bodies.

Along the way, there are pieces of human hands and feet along with bones and blood spouts. The strong rancid aroma seemed to be a marker that this incident had not happened long ago, who did it.
