Hong Shuii Temple is a simple temple built outside the village, far from the inns of the residents. The temple was intended for travelers or merchants who worshiped at once to rest.
The temple was maintained by ten monks, but there was news that overnight, there was a massacre at this temple. And after that news, not avoided... The Temple of Hong Shuii became more crowded.
It would take a week for a person like Chu Kai who was now in Lianyi City to be able to get to this location, yet that was if he were to go through the usual path.
Wei Zhang Zihan while riding his horse became a guide and they entered the forest. Chu Kai spurred his horse faster and tried to chase after Wei Zhang Zihan who was already far ahead.
"Amazing. Wei's warriors were very good at horseback riding,"
Chu Kai could not hide the feeling of admiration on his face. He continued to drive the horse, holding firmly the reins of this black-skinned beast. The sound of the clattering of horse legs and stepped grass was heard flowing with gusts of wind.
Chu Kai's forehead shriveled and he pulled the reins of his horse as he watched Wei Zhang Zihan who stopped in front. He was surprised to realize that there was a deep abyss before them and now both of them were on top of the cliff.
"Pe-Peker Wei.." Chu Kai's feelings became uneasy. He widened his eyes as Wei Zhang Zihan pulled the reins of his horse and seemed to be preparing to take a bold action.
"Wait a minute, Swordsman Wei. Are you gonna jump-!!"
"Come on!" Wei Zhang Zihan did not listen to Chu Kai. He spurred his horse and the animal he was riding seemed to have great courage to run and without hesitation jumped down.
"Decoyar Wei..!" Chu Kai exclaimed. He panicked and did not even have time to think about anything, the horse he was riding then took a swing as if intending to follow his partner.
"He-hey, wait a minute"
OH...!!
Chu Kai held firmly to the black mane of his horse. He shouted as he closed his eyes, completely scared if this became the end of his history.

Wei Zhang Zihan's horse as well as Chu Kai's were actually not ordinary beasts. They are a type of horse that is bred and specially trained so that not only has a sturdy body, but also very brave.
This horse has an incredible running speed and is more powerful than other horses in general. They are desert horses so even accustomed to extreme conditions.
Chu Kai opened his eyes as he felt a jolt. He was shocked and looked back, the horse he was riding was still running after Wei Zhang Zihan's horse. They are now walking through green and rocky fields.
"Jeez, my heart..." Chu Kai did not know anymore whether his heart was really in the chest or even in the ears. He was shocked by what just happened.
"This horse... Am I not in control of it?! Why isn't he listening to me?" Chu Kai tried to pull the reins but the beast continued to run after Wei Zhang Zihan's horse.
"Decoyar Wei..!" Chu Kai exclaimed, "You're sure this horse isn't in trouble? He won't stop at all even if I pull the reins,"
"Why do you want to stop your horse? Our journey is still far away, let's go faster!"
"But-Waaaah..! It scares me!" Chu Kai had once ridden a horse, but had never driven it this fast. Especially apparently.. The horse he rode was more obedient to Wei Zhang Zihan than he was.
Due to cutting off the path in an extreme way, Wei Zhang Zihan and Chu Kai managed to arrive at the Hong Shuii Temple. The temple began to be seen not far ahead. However, it was already dark when they arrived at the welcoming monument.
Wei Zhang Zihan began to descend from his horse. He slightly flinched as Chu Kai ran to one of the nearby trees and then vomited.
"You're this..." Wei Zhang Zihan walked up to the natural green-eyed young man. Really, he didn't know what to say.
We Zhang Zihan sighed and then raised his sleeves before starting to extend a hand, gently massaging Chu Kai's nape and rubbing his back.
"How are you doing now?" Wei Zhang Zihan opens his voice. He asked as Chu Kai had already stopped vomiting.
"I want a drink..."
Wei Zhang Zihan took out a water bottle from within his qiankun pouch. The bamboo bottle was given to Chu Kai and he reminded that this young man was drinking slowly.
"I'm fine now, thank you Swordsman Wei." Chu Kai returned Wei Zhang Zihan's water bottle and gently rubbed his stomach. He really should get used to riding horses from now on.
"Ouch... It feels like my intestines are twisted. This was worse than flying with a sword," Chu Kai still looked ashen-faced. He started following Wei Zhang Zihan who was walking up the temple steps.
The wind that blew felt so cold. Chu Kai who was able to calm down now began to circulate his gaze. There were torches lit on the outskirts of the steps he passed, some also visible around the temple.
"This temple was built for travelers. And in a remote area like this... It was impossible for it to be the same as the temple in the middle of the village,"
"But not after the massacre... Does this temple have many visitors? Why is there no one now?"
"Look at the conditions around you. It was already dark, so where could they possibly visit at night. Even if there are, those people are from a faraway place that stopped by to rest."
"What do we do now?"
"Mn, less is more." Wei Zhang Zihan continued to climb each step of the stairs and began to see someone standing at the door of the temple building.
Chu Kai who walked beside Wei Zhang Zihan and also came to see the figure. A person dressed in all white and with a plontos head was none other than a monk who lived in this temple.
Chu Kai watched this 30-year-old-looking monk. The man before him kindly gave his regards and Wei Zhang Zihan did not hesitate to do the same.
Chu Kai himself looked awkward, he imitated Wei Zhang Zihan's movements and the monk allowed them to enter the temple. True hospitality was reasonable, but it somehow made Chu Kai a little uncomfortable.
"We came from the Wushi Mountain Sect and wanted to know about the news of the massacre that occurred in this place," Wei Zhang Zihan unhesitatingly stated his purpose here.
The monk nodded slowly. He opened the temple door and now saw a spacious hall with a large Buddha statue. Chu Kai circulated a glance around and then began to walk around looking at this place.
Wei Zhang Zihan himself remained with the monk and listened to the story of this subject. He momentarily watched Chu Kai and sighed because the young man was acting so disrespectful.
"Before there was a ritual worship performed by seven monks, some villagers and traders were also present. But somehow the ritual turned into full of blood. I don't know what the cause is, either,"
"Have you ever felt anything strange before?" Wei Zhang Zihan asked and answered the slow-moving trousers by the monk.
"Defender Wei...!"
Chu Kai's cry made Wei Zhang Zihan and the monk who was with him flinch. They also went to the place where Chu Kai was currently behind the Buddha statue.
"Executor Wei, take a look at this." Chu Kai pointed at a strange seal on the floor as Wei Zhang Zihan approached.
"This is also what I want to say," the monk opened his voice, "This pattern suddenly appeared and may have existed at the same time as the massacre."
The monk continued, "No one dared to touch him, so the monks were putting on spell paper because this seal smelled like blood."
"Do you suspect that this is a seal that invites evil spirits?" Chu Kai asked and made the monk beside him flinch.
The monk nodded, "Right. The seal was strange, let alone smelled of blood and appeared suddenly like this... It is impossible not to have a relationship with an evil spirit. The thing is, we have trouble calling senior monks who are experts in the exorcism of evil spirits. Their distance from this place is very far,"
"Then what about the monks in this place?" Chu Kai asked again.
"Other than me, there are two more. More experienced senior monks were killed when the ritual was performed,"
Chu Kai took a good look at the monk in front of him and seemed to be starting to understand. The identity of this subject was likely just an ordinary monk and was only in charge of clearing the temple. He was inwardly impressed because this man and his companions were fortunate not to take part in the ritual of worship.
"Do you have holy water?" Wei Zhang Zihan finally opened his voice. The monk standing beside Chu Kai nodded and then said he would take it soon.
"Snake Wei, what is holy water for?" Chu Kai asked as he crossed hands.
"To prove whether this seal has any relation to one of the Moon Pillars or not,"
Chu Kai looked at Wei Zhang Zihan before setting his gaze on the seal that was on the floor. He closed his eyes for a moment and began to concentrate. There was a thin, yet deep red spiritual energy that appeared to come out from every seal pattern he saw.
The 30-year-old monk came with a medium-sized jug filled with holy water. Wei Zhang Zihan picked up the jug and then began to drain his spiritual energy.
Chu Kai watched as Wei Zhang Zihan flashed ten talisman papers that floated in the air, surrounding the seal that was on the floor. Wei Zhang Zihan threw a jug of holy water and it floated right in the middle.
Wei Zhang Zihan formed a hand seal and in an instant the joints broke. Holy water spread out, splashing towards the seal pattern on the floor and sparks like lightning began to appear.
