The Tomb Next to the House

The Tomb Next to the House
2. Sendang Fragrance

I've never felt water this fresh. Usually the water where we used to live tends to be warm and smell of rust.

This river also smells good. It smells of all kinds of flowers. My feelings alone, or indeed my body feels like it's floating. This body is like losing its weight. Well, even though my body weight isn't that heavy either, anyway.

I almost fell asleep because the atmosphere was so calm and beautiful. Until the screams I know so well disrupt my precious time.

"Mrs ... !"

I saw Althaf up there calling me.

"Mama's here, son!" I screamed back.

Althaf, however, did not listen. I have let out my singing voice. The sound of Althaf's voice constantly calling made me uneasy as well.

I immediately finished my job despite a slight sense of unwillingness. Wearing the clothes I put on a big rock, and then going up to where my son was.

"What's up, Al?" I asked, patting Althaf on the shoulder from behind.

"Geez!!" Althaf.

"Mama?! Just be surprised." He reflexively held his chest while turning towards me.

"Are you surprised? Didn't see Mama from there" I said, pointing towards the river below.

"Masa? How come Al didn't see, huh?"

My son seems to think hard.

"You don't see it because it's covered in trees. Come home."

Groping Althaf's hand, which was still standing, we walked down the path to return. But his strange expression slightly bothered me.

"Why, Al?"

"Eh, no, Ma. But Al was sure there was nobody in the river. Al've checked, really."

"You may not be so thorough, Al. Never mind. It's lunch time. Are you not a lager?"

"Yes time? Was Al less thorough? Maybe the laper effect too. Hihi."

Althaf finally agreed. We also headed for the chaotic house. Hopefully Raihan's finished. Let me not help her clean up and organize the house. If the condition is that dirty, I honestly can not afford it.

My lips curved back when I saw the appearance of the house from a distance still looks the same as when I came earlier. With a slightly accelerated pace, I walked up to him and went straight into the house.

Althaf whose hands I held seemed to be fluttering following my steps that were too wide.

"Mas?!"

"Greetings first, cake, if you enter the house," said Raihan mas who was sitting relaxed in the living room. A sweat poured from his forehead. Must have just finished cleaning. Poor as well.

"Wa'alaikumussalam .. " answered Raihan withholding a smile.

I swept every corner of the house with my big eyes. Hmm, pretty good too. Not too bad. Although the walls are made of wood, but this looks neat. It was different when I saw the building from the outside. It is true that the term do not look at the house from the outside. Hehe.

Just a little strange aura that I felt when I entered it earlier. But I take it as a normal thing. It is also called first impression.

"How's it?" raihan asked with a satisfied smile engraved on his handsome face.

"Lumayan."

"Huh? Just good? Mas clean up until the flowers deflate this one."

"Hehe. Eat, yuk, Mas? Which side dish did we bring from home?"

"It's in the kitchen."

I just searched where the kitchen was. After swimming, worms in the stomach can not be invited to compromise again.

"Yahoo!" I screamed when I just got to the kitchen.

Two footsteps came straight towards me.

"What's up, Ma?"

"I-it ... A-there is a head .. "my reply that has cupped the face with both hands, while arranging the heart that almost jumped from its position.

"Head?" Althaf goes with the buzz.

"Ni am kidding, nice little cake. There must be a head. Our sidekick is a fish cob. You mean the fish head, right?" The accusation of my husband who thought I was joking infuriated me.

"You can't believe it, check it yourself, Pa. Serious people are joking."

"Where does his head go? In the lunchbox?" My husband keeps making fun of me.

"Near the bag. You don't see, anyway? People obviously are. Hii ... Mama dare not look."

My husband and son went into the kitchen and checked every corner. I who was still in shock stood in the doorway with my back to them.

"Where, Ma? Mama saw it wrong."

Raihan's voice made me turn around. Strange as well, it was located near the luggage. The head of the little boy with bulging eyes was staring at me. Just imagine that I can't.

"Who? Where's?" I was surprised when I turned around and looked at where the head was.

"Mama halu kali's. Or less thorough." Althaf imitated my words to him earlier.

I'm thieving. Then immediately prepare food assisted with Raihan mas. What else is this, Lord? Is this a form of introduction to other residents in this house?
