Ch 42:The Beastmen

Valen fled so quickly because he did not want to deduce the commotion that was quite a hassle for him.

After feeling that he was very far from the city of Sailand, Valen then stopped running and looked left and right to see the surroundings.

“Should have gone this far they wouldn't have been able to catch up with me.” Valen murmured.

“Cih all places are the same, they always attach more importance to people of status than ordinary people.”

“Now I am back again adventuring without direction.” murmured Valen while walking slowly following the road in front of him.

“I hope on the road times nothing bad happens.”

Not long after Valen walked away he heard the voice of someone who was screaming for help.

“To-help me!!!” scream someone.

“Ah... No longer..” Inner Valen upon hearing the shout.

Far to his right Valen saw a wounded boy running from 3 wolves.

“Ah! There's people! Help me!!” his yell.

Valen reluctantly took out his Dagger and slashed at the wolf chasing after the boy.

“Hah.... Huh... Thanks brother! I was saved.” he said lying on the ground with a breath of breath.

“There is no need to thank you, then see you.” Valen said to him and then continued his path.

“Ah! Don't leave me brother!” he said wake up immediately.

“Don't you have to take care of yourself, moreover you are Beastmen.” Valen continued.

Beastmen are half-human animals, they are quite strong in close combat, their instincts are also sharper than humans or other creatures. Unlike Elves, Beastmen are not hostile to humans but do not make up for each other, as Beastmen have their own territory so there is rarely any conflict between Beastmen and humans.

The Beastmen boy tried to stand up slowly and approached Valen who started to move away from him “But I was only 8 years old! My strength has not grown at that age.” he said.

“It's none of my business.” replied Valen.

“If it wasn't brother's business, why did you save me just now?” tanyakanya.

Valen stopped and turned to face the boy “If you don't bring the wolf to me, who will help you!” said Valen.

The boy fell silent after hearing this and then Valen left him alone standing frozen there.

The boy fainted on the ground, probably because of the blood that kept coming out of his arm that had previously been bitten by a wolf.

“Hah... Just bother.” said Valen turned towards the boy.

Seeing his slightly severe injuries Valen felt unbearable and decided to help him, by tearing a bit of his clothes Valen tied the cloth to the boy's wound so that the blood did not come out continuously.

“I don't have Gold so I can't buy you Potion.” Valen muttered.

Valen then carried the boy and took him walking because in the end he could not bear to see him like that.

About 2 hours of walking and with several rests, the Beastmen boy woke up with a body that had recovered, maybe it was also one of the advantages of the Beastmen, having a fairly rapid regeneration.

“In-where am I?” ask her as she slowly begins to wake up.

“Don't ask, I just don't know where we are.” replied Valen.

“Ah sister of yesteryear!” he said a little surprised when he saw himself being carried by Valen.

“Iya I was indeed the one who helped you earlier, even until now I also helped you.” Valen replied.

“She didn't care for brother but why did you still decide to save me?” tanyakanya.

“You wear Drama fainting all.” replied Valen.

“What happened to you before? Until chased by the wolf?” ask Valen.

“Actually the wolf was my father's pet, and they were assigned to take me back to the village.” he replied.

“Hm? So you ran away from your village? Aren't you Beastmen never out of your territory.”

“It's true but I'm very unsuitable to be a Beastmen.”

“What do you mean? Doesn't fit?” valen asked a little confused.

“I don't have the heart to kill animals and I don't like to eat my own game meat, I'd rather buy cooked meat than have to eat the meat I get while hunting.” he replied.

“Hm? How can the story be like that?”

About a few days ago in the village where the Beastmen lived.

The leader of the Beastmen, Leon at that time intended to hunt deer or other animals that they usually make as their food.

Coincidentally that day his son had his 8th birthday so as a gift from him Leon allowed his son to participate in hunting in the forest, it might sound silly but for a little Beastmen to go hunting was the most special gift since only a 15-year-old Beastmen could officially join the hunt.

His son looks very happy to hear that and on his first day Leon said “Nak actually this is a little early but I hope you change who killed our game animals.” he said with a warm smile.

“Iya, dad! I'll try!" answer the child with a smile.

They began to enter the forest in the region looking for animals and happened to have previously set traps in the forest.

Sure enough after checking it turned out that there was a fat deer entering their device, the Beastmen who saw it looked quite happy.

“Then this is how we should hold for a few days.” Leon said.

They pull out the deer using a rope and after locking all the limbs except the head, Leon tells his only child to kill their hunted animals.

“Let's do your job.” said Leon gave his son a sharp knife.

“Come do nak!” his father said confidently to his son.

Leon's son tried to scratch the deer's skin a bit and of course it made him hurt and bleed a little, leon's son was terrified and threw the knife and ran home with a frightened face.

Leon who saw it was very embarrassed, even though he was the only child but instead made him humiliated.

Because his son ran away Leon asked his friend to kill the deer and while he went home to come to his son.

With anger he came to his son who locked himself in his room.

“Exit Demis!! Out!!” shouting Leon.

“B-good father.” answer opened the door slowly.

“Come with me!!” leon pulled his son's hand.

Leon brought his son to a rabbit farm not far from his house.

After capturing one of the rabbits, Leon gives another knife to his son to kill the rabbit.

“Do!” snapped Lion

“Dad I can't..” replied his son.

“You should be able to son!!!” shouted his son with annoyance.

After that day Leon continued to ask his son to do the same thing every day but there was absolutely no change, his son still did not have the heart to see animals that look sad when they want to be killed.

Those days were so stressful that the boy decided to leave his village and start a new adventure about himself.

Originally escaping from that place was impossible but since he was the son of the lead Beastmen so it made him more free in the exits, inlets and streets.

Everything went smoothly without a hitch at all Leon's son smiled happily as he exited the village.

Meanwhile, Leon who felt that he was too hard on his son decided to try to apologize to his son who was in the room, because maybe his son was too soon to be told to kill animals.

“Nak! Can I come in?” leon knocked on the door.

“Nak?” connect Leon when there is no response from his son and decide to open the door.

Leon was surprised to see in the room there was no child “Could he play?”

Because of such thoughts Leon came out of the house and went to his usual place to play and there were indeed Beastmen children playing but no children.

“Hey have you guys seen Demis?” leon asked one of the children.

“No tuh, he has not played with us for a long time.” he replied.

Leon starts to panic and wonders to his friends if he saw his son before.

But everything replied “Do not know.” Leon finally decided to ask his men who often look around people who enter and exit the forest.

“Wex have you seen Demis?” ask Leon.

“Demis? Oh there! He was previously permission to go for the forest, I don't know what.” replied his friend.

Leon was very surprised to hear this because his only son instead left the village without speaking to him a word.

Leon whistled quite loudly and before long came 3 silver wolves in front of him.

“Find my son until he can, if he can't go back.” said Leon with a look of annoyance, the wolves immediately ran to the forest to look for Lion's children.

“Lho what happened to your son?” ask Leon's friend.

“It looks like he wants to leave the Beastmen.” region Leon replied.

“Hah? You're not duplicating?”

“Entah but the heart beats fast enough so maybe it's true.” replied Leon.

The 3 Wolves quickly ran around in the woods sniffing the smell of Demis' body, but it seemed that Demis had walked far enough to make the Wolf unable to smell it.

They continued to run looking for Demis as hard as they could to bring him to the village whether it was injured or intact.

While Demis did not realize that in the distance there were 3 Wolves chasing after her.

Demis was only focusing on getting out of the Beastmen territory, she forced her already extremely breathless self to continue running with all her might.

Because it felt far enough Demis also began to stop running to rest because it was no longer able to run with such breath.

“Hah... Huh.... Huh..... It should be safe now..” he said.

“I was desperate enough to get out of the village but I didn't want to feel the torment of doing something I couldn't.” he said.

Ohuuu!!!!

The echoing sound of a wolf howl suddenly sounded from where he had previously run.

“Do-don't! ay wolf... Argh!!” said Demis who was cut off when a wolf suddenly appeared beside her and bit her left shoulder.

Anyone who did not scream when his unprepared body was suddenly attacked, but even though he was screaming, Demis also tried to push the wolf to release his bite.

But the bite was so strong and could not be removed just because it was pushed ordinary, Demis decided to plug the wolf's eyes and it turned out to work, the wolf released its bite from the shoulder of Demis, who was not the only one, by taking advantage of this situation Demis tried to run away.

The wolf howled and then immediately chased after Demis, not long after which another 2 wolves appeared in front of him. It seemed like the previous howl was to summon his comrade.

“Please!!”

“T-please me!!!”

Demis screamed for help as she felt she would be caught this time but far away she saw a young man walking alone.

“Ah! There's people! Help me!!” she shouted Demis to him as she continued to run towards him.
