Ch 40:Sailand City I

Because he did not feel sleepy at all Valen decided to continue walking on a cold night.

For hours he finally walked Valen out of the desert and began to see a path that might lead to the city or village.

Sure enough after continuing to follow the path Valen finally arrived at a fairly large city.

“I'm quite foreign to this city..” Inner Valen while being raided into the city.

Valen entered the city easily because the guards looked asleep, tired of standing guard all day as possible.

The city was quite quiet perhaps because it was already midnight and it was time for people to sleep.

While walking Valen was a little disturbed to hear ******** everywhere in iru, well it was natural that midnight was even more because of the loneliness that night so his voice sounded clear.

“Hah... Noisy once...” murmured Valen.

Not long after Valen finally found a store that is still open because the lights are brightly lit inside the store.

The cring!!

Valen decides to enter it and in Valen sees a young man who may be slightly older than him sitting at a table serving guests.

“Welcome.” he said with a warm smile.

It was a pretty big bookstore, though, the store is so many books arranged in it even if it is calculated that there may be thousands of books in that place but even so the store is quite suspicious because it opens late at night when there is no way anyone can read or buy a book like that.

“Hm? Looks like you are a new person to this city, because your face looks foreign.” he told Valen.

“Yes I just got to a while before.” replied Valen.

“You take a walk in the middle of the night like this? If a soldier sees you, you must have been suspected of being a criminal.”.

“I just need to run.” replied Valen.

“You are an interesting person... I'm Mehis owner of this bookstore, so what do you need in my store?” said it.

“I actually have no interest in buying books, at first I thought this was a restaurant.” Valen replied.

“Sadly, there are no open restaurants like this jam but if not wrong Blacksmith who is at the end of the road here is still open jam like this.” he said

“Blacksmith? Really? Then I should just go there, I'm sorry.” said Valen turned to walk towards the exit.

“Why don't you bring one of my books to read on the road later? I'll lend him the book, let's just say hello introductions from me.” he said when Valen turned around.

“Sorry but I'm not a person who likes to read books.” Valen replied.

“Maybe you will change your mind after reading this!” he said he pulled out a book with a plain cover.

“What is the content of the book?” ask Valen.

“You better see for yourself because if I have already notified the contents, it may not be interesting anymore.” he replied.

Valen was a little suspicious when he heard her say that but at the same time Valen was also curious about the book she was holding by Mehis.

“No-no! I can't be tempted! I don't want to waste time reading Valen's inner.” book.

“No, thank you. Maybe next time I come here to read it.” Valen waved his hand and went out of the store.

The cring!!

“Well then, see you.” said Mehis smiling warmly.

“While I have used my Charm skill so that he is interested in reading here but it does not seem to work for him, I can't wait to see it coming back.” Mehis said.

***

Valen decided to go to the Blacksmith mentioned by Mehis earlier and it was true that there was a building that still had lights on.

Valen knocked on the door of the house and soon a dwarf old man opened the door with an unfriendly look on his face.

“Who are you? What do you need in my place?” tanyakanya.

“I heard from someone this place is Blacksmith, so is that true?” answer Valen.

“Iya, then?”

“I want to learn how to make weapons.” Valen replied with confidence.

“Hah? You think it's easy to make a weapon? You better just go.” he said.

“I beg! At least let me just teach me the basics once!” valen pleaded.

“Hah... Let's just say you're lucky son, then come on.” he said.

“Thank you... Uh..”

“Tael, my name is Tael.”

Valen then enters Tael's Blacksmith to learn how to forge weapons.

“What kind of weapon do you want to forge?” ask Tael.

Valen took out the Shark Dagger from his Inventory and gave it to Tael.

“Tu-wait! Where did the Dagger come from? Didn't you previously have no weapons at all?” tael asked who was surprised to see Dagger suddenly appear in Valen's hands.

“Uh... Let's just say it's my Skill.” Valen replied.

“Ya. Hm Dagger is quite unique and seen from its shape is made of Shark fangs, where do you get it?” tael asked after looking at the Dagger.

“I got it after killing the Dungeon Boss.” replied Valen.

“I know the Dungeon Boss can't drop a weapon? Usually only material.”

“Maybe it's my luck,hehe.”

“If you want to make a Dagger can be, but a Dagger that looks like this is quite difficult because making a Dagger like this is not as easy as a regular Dagger. You need to make it from a material that is strong and hard almost the same as Shark fangs.” he said giving the Dagger back to Valen.

“At least I have a target for forging his weapon.” Valen replied.

“Then let's show you how.”

Tael walked melting the iron with a fire so hot in the furnace and after the iron had become a hot molten iron Tael then poured the molten iron into a thin iron and now just waiting for it to cool and hardened.

Then after hardening Tael took it and re-heated it but not until it melted, after quite hot Tael hit the Dagger with a hammer, he repeated it quite a lot and until finally the Dagger was finished, so, although it looks easy but actually it is quite difficult because the most difficult thing is to hit the hot iron and form a Dagger.

“How do you understand now?” ask Tael.

“Slightly, now can I try it?” answer Valen.

“Do it but because soon morning so your time limit is only until sunrise, after that you have to go.” replied Tael.

“Good.”

Valen then tried to follow what had been demonstrated by Tael before, initially Valen had made a mistake because too quickly raised the melted iron.

“You must be patient... Don't rush.” reprimand Tael.

Valen repeated the melting of the iron and he made another mistake while pouring the untidy molten iron into thin iron.

“Have continued, the iron can already be forged even though later the shape is slightly different.”

Hearing that Valen then did the next stage that is the formation of his weapon, Valen tried to hold his strength so as not to thicken the iron everywhere.

Hitting the iron was no easy feat as Valen had to hit at the right parts along with holding back his strength.

About 1 hour passed finally Valen finished making his first weapon himself but the shape is slightly different from the Dagger used so far.

[Getting Skill - Blacksmith]

“Hahaha what is a Dagger? The shape is very irregular.” said Tael who laughed to see the weapon forged by Valen has been completed.

“Hehe made it himself turned out to be more difficult than seeing you.” Valen said smiling awkwardly.

“But it's a good start because most people at first always fail in the stage of hitting it.”

“Thank you sir Tael.”

“Then do you want what the Dagger is?”

“I'll save it... This is my first work.” replied Valen.

“Then you need to sharpen for sharper first because the Dagger looks very blunt, here.” he said asking the Dagger.

Valen gives his Dagger and Tael takes it to sharpen, not taking long his Dagger has finished honing.

Tael told him to test the Dagger on a wooden rod that he usually uses to test the sharpness of his weapons.

“Not felt it was morning... I'm sorry Mr. Tael for taking your night.” Valen said.

“It's okay, after all teaching someone is not a bad thing.” replied Tael.

“Then I let you know Mr. Tael, thank you for your help.” Valen lowered his head.

“Iya, next time come again but I don't know your name yet.”

“Valent! My name is Valen!”

“Well Valen bye.”

Valen came out of Tael's place and now it might be time for him to go to the Guild or maybe to the inn.
