Become Tyrant On My Own Way
Chapter 173 – FAREWELL WITH LILIA

Albert had to leave for the city of Lobos for Lilia's funeral in accordance with Lilia's last mandate who wanted to be buried in his hometown.

I lamented my incompetence. As for my flaws, I failed to save Lilia. Various ways over the past four years I have been involved in finding a drug or method that can cure poisoning mana Lilia or known as manaphobia, but none of them succeeded.

The antibody system in the human body is too complex and it continues to be produced which actually becomes a poison that slowly claimed Lilia's life. About being too complex, I failed to find the mechanism so I failed to save Lilia.

I was Albert's best friend before my status as emperor so I did everything I could to leave the capital temporarily to attend Lilia's funeral and comfort Albert there.

It wasn't easy at first, but thanks to the support of Luciana and Vierra who would replace me in charge of the internal affairs of the palace for a while during my departure, it became possible. Unfortunately, Talia is now pregnant so much that it only allows me to come alone to it.

I left for Lobos City directly through the teleportation of Doctor Minerva with Yasmin as my bodyguard.

I asked Doctor Minerva to stay in Lobos City with us for a while. The existence of Doctor Minerva here would be of great help. If anything untoward happens in the capital, I will be able to immediately teleport there instantly without having to wait any longer for the installation of the energy gate that until it takes thirty minutes to get to the capital.

There are also many things that I actually want to ask Yasmin about where she has been all this time and also I slightly want to question her identity, especially she who had overreacted when discussing the witches. But now is not the right time to talk about it.

That's why the day I delivered this sad news to Albert and met Yasmin again after two weeks, I had never mentioned it to him at all.

However, I tried to apologize as sincerely as possible to Yasmin if there might be my words that offended her. Although the word was actually directed at the witches, somehow Yasmin also reacted to it.

“Papa. Papa.”

“Soide you, son of an unlucky bearer!”

“Hiiiiiks. Hiiiiix. Hiiiiks.”

“Stop that useless cry of yours! You want to act so on the day of your mother's funeral?!”

Unintentionally, I who was about to see Albert when he resigned to his room about his mental health, actually saw the sad sight. Albert absolutely showed his hatred for no reason to Allios.

“Hey, stupid! What did you do to your own son?!”

To my surprise, Albert, who used to be stupid in front of me, actually yelled at me.

“What does Master know about my feelings?! Because of this child.. Because Lilia gave birth to this unlucky child, Lilia so.. Aaaaaakkkkhhhhh! Liliaaaaaa! Hiks, hiks.”

It was no longer clear what was said in Albert's mouth. But her deep cries already gave a clear answer to her feelings.

I grabbed her shoulder and hugged her tightly.

“Albert, I know you are saddened by Lilia's death. But you also know that this isn't Allios' fault? No one expected such a thing to happen to Lilia. Lilia choosing to sacrifice herself to save your baby's life is proof that she loves Allios. Will you betray the proof of Lilia's love that she fought for with all her sincerity?”

“Masters. Hiks, hiks.”

I rubbed Albert's bright yellow hair and called Allios to come closer to me.

With her fragile steps, she limped from her nanny's hands into our arms.

“Papa, Papa.”

Allios also hugged Albert who was bent with tears in his frailty even with his large body. Yet Albert only seemed to tremble without responding to Allios' embrace.

It seems that Albert's subconscious still regards Allios as the cause of Lilia's death. But all I can do to the two of them right now is encourage from afar. However, the love affair between Albert and his son is beyond my control to interfere.

What is clear is that as long as Albert no longer violently yells at his son, which could traumatize him for life, I think that's enough for now. As long as I can keep an eye on Allios' growth anyway, everything will go to a good realm.

In the midst of the atmosphere still mourning Albert for the death of his wife, the, I can't believe the people of the Lugwein region without understanding held a petition asking Albert to immediately return to his territory about the threat of invasion of flying monsters from the Arteic Continent.

It had indeed been overcome to a certain realm, but the appearance of those monsters still existed. Though I had assigned hundreds of soldiers to patrol the Fallenstone region, but they were still worried about the small soldiers and attacked their village instead.

I know their worries. Although the Lugwein region was protected by its topography so that when monsters burst in from the sea, they would tend to choose the sloping Fallenstone region, indeed, no one guarantees one hundred percent that there will be no strange monsters that actually prefer to pass through the mountains with many shrubs of trees so that it will get to the Lugwein region first.

Only, did they not put a little sympathy to Albert for his mourning day? They would be able to convey the request to me directly if considering Albert's current situation. Why did they have to add to Albert's already near-limit burden?

What worries me even more is Damian's visit and his group of paladins to the region. However, the paladins had once worked with the monk Vyndicta Eros who turned out to be Baal, so of course I could not let go of my worries.

Also, this is just my feeling, but I can feel Damian's possessiveness towards Brother Vierra. I could have helped Brother Vierra escape with Damian out of the continent and faked their deaths, had Brother Vierra put a sense of return on Damian. But in fact it is not.

No. gabe. Even though Vierra loves Damian back, I will certainly still consider that. It doesn't matter that he's Vierra's childhood friend. Who would hand over someone important to you to a suspicious figure like Damian?

I also told Albert to focus on resting in the city of Lobos. Then the matter regarding the Lugwein region, I leave it to some reliable administrators who come with qualified soldiers to the region as well.

But apparently, things are not going well. The lack of a capable accomplice is very painful. After all, even after four years, it was still difficult to stabilize the region after almost half of its nobles rebelled, moreover we had to annex other territories lacking qualified nobles as well regarding being a victim during the war.

Employing former commoners whom I have now appointed as new nobles in their stead apparently cannot be done well about the tendency of citizens not to trust leaders who come from the lineage of the common people. Ah, of course Curtiz from Painfinn City was an exception.

What is the problem with the commoners? As long as his abilities are qualified, isn't that enough? What does a bloodline have to do with one's abilities? As long as they had the same education, wouldn't their abilities be the same?

The representative administrators I sent to Tarz City apparently clashed with the citizens there because of various trivial things and funny paladins took advantage of the opportunity to attract the sympathy of the people by participating against the administrators of my emissaries those.

Everything is so chaotic where the position of the administrators there so all wrong.

Being fed up, I decided to go there by myself and stay with Yasmin and Doctor Minerva's bodyguards, who left Grandpa Glenn's residence.

“Oh ho's. Who'sisthis? Apparently you are, Damian. Who would have thought now you can be this successful even get the title of the hero. Brother Vierra as your childhood ‘TEMAN’ must be proud of you.”

I really emphasized that position for Brother Vierra so Damian would never cross the line. Who knows if in the future he will think of rebelling under the pretext of fulfilling the prophecy of removing the tyrant emperor in order to seize Brother Vierra from my side.

It's still good if Vierra can live happily with Damian. In fact, I doubt that.

“Honor to the figure of majesty, the leader of the Continent of Ernoa, His Majesty the Emperor Helios sun Meglovia.”

He greeted me with respect. But somehow I feel the evil air flowing through his gentle smile?
