Become Tyrant On My Own Way
Chapter 116 – IDENTITY DOCTOR MINERVA

Helios' sharp gaze was fixed on Doctor Minerva. However, there was not the slightest hint of intimidation shown by the woman.

The look was hinting like catching a wet thief with a stolen item in his hand. However, the person who was stared at was even defiantly staring back as if to say that the item was indeed his possession from a long time ago.

The confident look of the eye seemed to hold the argument in his hands so convincing that when it was revealed, there was no place to be suspicious.

“Surely you have many questions, Your Highness Prince Helios. How about you reveal them one by one?”

Helios was silent for a long time. He took a peek from head to toe of Doctor Minerva, watching every suspicious nook and cranny in his body. However, no matter how long he looked at her, there seemed to be nothing suspicious.

“First of all, try to explain first how you got here. We just met seven days ago in Painfinn City. If it was Yasmin and I, it would be natural to get to this place so quickly since we could fly. Do you also have supernatural powers or something?”

Doctor Minerva smiled. He seemed to hint that he was not a thief who was caught off guard.

His right hand pointed to the side forming a 90-degree angle with his body. His hands were straight vertically. Then a moment later, a bright blue light was emitted blindingly.

A strange pattern formed suddenly from an empty spot in the air. Vertical lines continued to cross, meet, separate, and cross simultaneously until it was finally clear that a series of strange patterns formed a solid object of emptiness. It was a two dimensional door.

No, it's a portal.

“You? Isn't this magic? Why do I not feel at all the flow of mana from your body?”

Doctor Minerva replied confidently, “When someone wizard reaches the realm of the arch wizard, they will have the ability to control mana absolutely. It is only natural that a non wizard like you would not notice it.”

“So you noticed it apparently.”

“Whatever you falsify your class as a wizard, you can't fool the eyes of an arch wizard.”

“I didn't mean to hide it. It is not important that this be known or unknown. It's just, I'm lazy to fight with weapons so I let people misunderstand that I'm a wizard. Moreover, isn't your class priest? Isn't that why you became a doctor?”

Hearing Helios' words, Doctor Minerva smiled wryly.

“You may have heard at least once right that all the arch wizards are slightly tilted? Maybe I'm one of them.”

“What is it? I just heard it for the first time. After all this is only the first time I met the arch wizard, so I can't compare it.”

Helios lied because she had previously met Milanda in the world of memory who was the arch wizard. Although his existence had changed to another realm since becoming the lord of the dungeon, Helios was currently still in contact with Milanda.

But if you look carefully, perhaps it could be said that Helios was honest since the beings within the world of memory could not be said to be truly living beings and as for Milanda in the present she encountered had changed beyond human existence.

“You are indeed a good person, Your Highness the Prince. You don't discriminate against an arch wizard at all. Though many consider our existence crazy so many people who do not want to be close to us.”

“No matter an arch wizard or not, what determines whether someone is strange is from their own behavior. Why is it weird anyway? Being exenstricted is not a crime. Free to judge others with such narrow views. But that's not what I asked. You haven't answered my question.”

Once again Doctor Minerva smiled meaningfully before Helios.

“About me being a doctor even though my class is an arch wizard?”

“Ya.”

“Can an arch wizard not be a doctor?”

Hearing a pretty emotional remark coming from an arch wizard, Helios only realized that she had just discriminated against him. It is impolite to connect the talent one is born with the work one is now engaged in.

Helios was silent enough to sort out her words carefully.

“I understand. It is true that nothing can stand in the way of one's ideals regardless of his class. I just feel a little weird. Wouldn't you have evolved faster if you chose jobs like enchanter, crafting, or plunging directly into battle as a magician warrior?”

“It's not fun. I prefer to learn.”

“About human anatomy?”

“Learning about human body parts is fun for me, and that's enough. Besides, I can't get a human corpse carelessly to treat my curiosity with a regular job. Only a job as a doctor can fulfill it.”

“Enak only! Don't equate me with those broken dark wizards. I purely did it to develop the medical science of anatomy!”

Helios considered deeply what she had just talked to Doctor Minerva about. He checked every tip he showed to detect every honesty of his speech.

Helios finally decided to trust Doctor Minerva alone for that moment, but Helios decided to further tighten the scrutiny to the still highly suspicious figure.

“I'm sorry for having suspected you, Doctor Minerva. I'm just glad you're on our side. Who wouldn't be happy if there was an arch wizard by his side. It will increase our strength to make Painfinn City even safer. Also..”

Helios took a look at the portal that Doctor Minerva had summoned.

“This is if not wrong, the dimension portal is it the function of connecting one place with another instantly without regard to distance and dimensions?”

“Accurate once. Amazing you know it.”

“I at least understand the concept. But I can't believe that this can really be made. Hey, Doctor Minerva..”.

Helios looked at Doctor Minerva.

“Ya?”

“How about we do joint research on this field of dimensional portal study? If this is successful, then, then it would be possible in the future to travel from the westernmost regions of the Meglovia Kingdom to the easternmost blood of the Ignitia Kingdom in just an instant by using artificial artifacts if the mysteries about the portal were successfully investigated. In addition, this may reveal the mystery about the leakage of dimensions in the western continent.”

“Are you referring to the appearance of the tower ten thousand years ago in the Armtemis Continent?”

“Quickly once.”

Helios really cannot hide the soul of his scientist who is always interested in many things. However, it was a good thing that the grief towards the death of her brother, Tius Star Meglovia, was slightly sidetracked.

No one deserves to forbid Helios to feel happiness by achieving her ambition.

“But..”.

There was a hint of doubt in Doctor Minerva.

“Or don't-don't you want to keep your identity a secret as arch wizard? In that case, I can make your identity in the research as anonymous.”

Doctor Minerva could not say to Helios that the beginning that made him interested in studying the anatomy of the human body was when he took up a hobby as a serial killer.

It was a perverse and despicable pastime that the naive-hearted prince could not tolerate, even though all the victims of Doctor Minerva had been criminals and bad people.

Doctor Minerva has lied because he studied anatomy of the human body not for medical purposes, but heresy to find the method of death that torments his victims the most.

Working in the city of Painfinn has given him a comfortable identity to live as a doctor in order to carry out what he loves so much and he does not want the place to be lost.

“Alright, with pleasure, Your Highness Prince.”

“Wise decision, Doctor Minerva. But you're really great. Even from the books I read, not a single arch wizard has managed to apply such an absurd concept as this dimensional portal. Although I am sure that one day it will be realized after studying the intricacies of the tower through literature. Hey, Doctor Minerva, how about naming our research as a project gate?”

“According to the wishes of His Highness Prince.”

Doctor Minerva finally approved the proposal of Prince Helios to keep a comfortable place.

The same is true of the reason that finally revealed his identity as arch wizard to Helios in order to save his wife and baby, Doctor Minerva simply did it all for the solidity of Helios' position which is currently the fulcrum of safety for people who are discriminated against in the Continent of Ernoa because of their black hair and black eyes like her.

Doctor Minerva just did not want Helios to fall because he thought only Helios was able to end the discrimination on the Continent of Ernoa. That's why Doctor Minerva supports him at all costs.

However, there is one secret on the continent that is unknown to anyone other than Doctor Minerva and that is actually what has been the main cause of putting absolute trust in Helios de Meglovia.

An agreement regarding the gate project was finally reached between the two scientists. But then, both Doctor Minerva and Helios soon realized it. The invasion of Vlonhard Empire had just taken place on the northern border of Meglovia Kingdom, far from where they were today.
