Chapter 12: Kira Shadowstrike

Haruki moved the body of the girl who was in the

over his body slowly, trying not to wake him up. Having succeeded

moving him he looked around, and spread his consciousness around

to see the structure of this floor.

The ceiling of the cave is full of

the branches are like ants' nests, creating a complex structure. At

here and there, water droplets crept down from the ceiling, adding moisture

in a dark environment.

Haruki opened his eyes with a heart that

thumping fast. "This structure is similar to the 38th floor, but where

Luke?" He checked around, but there was no sign of Luke. Just himself

and the sleeping girl.

Haruki started walking through the labyrinth of branches

like an ant's nest, look for signs of Luke's whereabouts. Not far from there, though,

he heard a rumbling sound coming from the ceiling of the cave.

"Kratakk…."

An ant monster emerged from the ceiling,

not one or two, but hundreds. These monsters slid down with

creepy slow movements. They started to approach Haruki, and their intentions

very clearly, they wanted to eat him alive.

But Haruki remained calm. With feeling

steady, he pointed his hand towards the monsters and summoned elements

fire with the magic word, "Ignite." The fire spread rapidly, though,

surround those monsters and burn them to ashes.

Even though the monsters are still trying

approaching him, the blazing flames made sure they were reduced to ashes before they could

reaching Haruki. He remained calm, with no expression of fear on his face,

though in his heart he still wonders about the mysterious disappeared Luke.

Haruki continued to explore

the branches of this cave labyrinth. As he ventured deeper, he found

luke's terrible body. Only the bottom is left, and

around him was a door, similar to the one that would lead them to

boss room.

"Is this the boss' room?" murmuring Haruki.

Meanwhile, the girl who had woken up from her sleep, began to realize that she was in a place that

very foreign. He yawned wide, and the hood of his robe opened

she has a beautiful face and long white hair.

"Where am I?" Ask yourself, confused.

The girl saw the traces of magic that Haruki had just used, and she decided to follow him.

With his skill in stealth, he was able to move without being seen or

felt by Haruki. He proceeds to follow Haruki through

battle against the ant monsters and when Haruki finally arrives at Luke's place

the one that was cut off, he was still keeping watch from the darkness.

Haruki, who realized that he had been followed from the start, stopped and firmly said,

"Can you show yourself, stalker." His voice was calm, but

full of firmness.

The girl remained silent, feeling that Haruki's words were not directed at her. He saw Haruki

approached and finally grabbed his hand, making it look again.

"Who are you, and why do you keep following me?" asked Haruki firmly.

"I didn't mean to follow," said the girl awkwardly, turning her face away

being around the person who made her fall in love.

"Why are you following me?" asked Haruki in a flat tone.

I was nervous explaining my task. "I-I was told to kill the saintess and

the one who helped him. B-but, I don't want to do that job anymore,

because I think the saintess and the person who helped her is not a bad person."

He tries to explain that he has no evil intentions

"Who told you to do the job?" asked Haruki firmly.

"I was told by an employer" Kira replied, explaining who told her to.

"What's the point?" asked Haruki curiously.

Kira shook her head. "A-I don't know, I was only given the task of killing Saintess

and the one who helped him."

"Why did you quit that job? A murderer will not be neglected

her assignment?" asked Haruki with a suspicious tone.

Kira hesitated for a moment before finally answering, "Only a personal reason."

Haruki thought for a moment. 'So, the person who planned this ended up using another way by

sending a hit man.'

"So, are you a friend or an enemy?" asked Haruki firmly, while eyes and

his face radiated decisiveness. If Kira answers in the wrong way,

Haruki would not hesitate to face him.

Kira answered quickly, "I'm not the enemy."

"If so, come with me." Haruki pulled Kira's arm and led her into the room

boss, that could be the key to getting off this floor.

ON the 10th floor, a view of Lily and Sera.

Lily and Sera woke up from their sleep in the room and greeted each other. Then they tried to wake up

Haruki's in the next room.

"There was no response from inside the room," said Sera, feeling somewhat worried. They're waiting

for a while, trying to give Haruki some time.

However, when they did not hear any sound from Haruki's room, they became even more anxious.

Finally, they decide to open the door of Haruki's room which is not

locked up.

"Is he awake?" lily murmured, trying to figure out what might be going on.

"Maybe he's preparing something" Sera said, trying to ease Lily's worries.

The two of them did not want to rush over to make a bad assumption.

However, the moment the two of them walked out of Haruki's room, they felt a strong shock

shaking the entire dungeon.

"What the hell is going on?" lily and Sera said at the same time, both of them were confused and

apprehensive. They decided to go downstairs and ask what

which happens.

30 Minutes before the shock, in Haruki's point of view.

Haruki looked at the giant ant monster figure that appeared before him. It's so creepy, though,

with a large body and coated by a density of iron-like shells. Eye

the monster, which looked as if it harbored endless evil, was,

looking at Haruki with the lust to prey on him.

This monster had a pair of large and powerful jaws, which seemed ready to crush

all who dare to approach. Sharp claws like daggers protrude from the

to Kira, who was standing next to him.

Kira, who at first looks innocent and is surprised by the size of the monstrous monster, tries to

However, Kira's speech came to a halt as she looked at Haruki's face which suddenly showed a look that
