Chapter 56 Coming to the Academy

There were no important activities, just the usual daily routine until the semi-finals started.

Raymond's Residence

All were about to leave, but Mistress Mary realized someone was not there.

‘’Where is Cordelia?’’ ask Miss Mary.

Adam remained silent without answering, as did Secretary Rey and Mr Moriarty. Mistress Mary's gaze turned towards Reon.

‘’I'll check it out,’’ said Reon who understood his grandmother's intentions.

Cordelia's Room

Since Adam and Eve divorced, Cordelia has never been one room with Adam after they were both married. Adam locked his and Eve's rooms, forbidding people from entering and switching to another room, while Cordelia also prepared her own room.

Since then Cordelia paced while biting her thumb nail. The room was also a mess.

‘’Sial! If not the assassin, then who would dare to terrorize me? Stt, I wanted to tell Adam but if I did, they'd know that I was the one who told someone to eliminate brother. Everyone looked at Reon coming down the stairs.

‘’Where is Cordelia? Does he not come?’’ ask Mr. Moriarty.

‘’Mother says we first, she'll follow. Mom is taking care of something,’’ replied Reon.

‘’Something? What does he take care of?’’ ask Miss Mary.

‘’I don't know either. Mother just told me to convey this,’’ replied Reon.

‘’Ya. Cordelia will follow suit,’’ said Mrs Mary.

They walked out and entered the car, heading to the academy.

I looked at Eve who was about to enter the limousine. ‘’You sure you want to really go? If you can't, don't force yourself.’’

Eve was silent for a moment. ‘’Nothing. Your words are true after all. I can't keep running away. Tired of having to avoid something that always comes close to you. So, I will try to lift my head confidently without feeling the wound tormenting me.’’

He looked over as his hand was held by Kaji.

‘’I know you are a strong woman. I also promised that I would protect you,’’ Kaji's smile.

He took a deep breath and turned towards Kaji.

Eve stared at the man for a moment until she finally had a smile on her lips. ‘’Thank you, Kaji-kun.’’

Kaji nodded with a big smile with narrowed eyes.

‘’Hehem! How long will you stand at the door? I also want to enter,’’ Doctor Yuu said ruining the atmosphere.

Eve immediately pulled out her hand and threw away her face and immediately entered the limousine. Kaji who saw it just smiled because of Eve's funny behavior. His smile instantly faded as he looked at Doctor Yuu.

‘’You never want to see me happy,’’ Kaji said with a lazy look.

‘’Who told you to take Eve-chan away from me. Though I was the first to meet him in the hospital,’’ Doctor Yuu said into the limousine.

Kaji's mouth was instantly manyuned while nagging indistinctly. ‘’What's the first time? It was the first time I brought him to Japan. Basic!’’

Kane who watched the scene just giggled softly. ‘’Mother is really up for grabs, in contrast to our father who threw it away but is now instead chasing it again.’’

‘’It looks like there will be an exciting show,’’ Kein said.

‘’Humph! Let them be surprised. If necessary all Raymond's family had a heart attack,’’ Kane said.

The black-haired boy looked at his phone and smiled. ‘’Cordelia's aunt is still at Raymond's residence. But the others are already heading to the academy, it seems like he is being pressured.’’

Eve stared at the building at the back with the tower which was the culinary academy belonging to the Raymond family. The academy he had attended while still one of Raymond's family. He had not expected to return to that academy again, just because he wanted to watch Kein's competition.

Master Yuki and the others went inside. As soon as Eve set foot on the main door, Adam who was walking in the corridor leading to the VVIP room immediately turned around.

‘’What's Adam?’’ ask Mr. Moriarty.

Adam frowned while thinking of something. ‘’Nothing.’’

They walked back to the VVIP room. Secretary Rey turned back at a glance, then followed the departure of her superior.

All head to Tower 3 to watch the semi-finals. However, Eve had not yet arrived in the VVIP room, her phone vibrating.

‘’What's Eve-chan?’’ ask Kaji.

‘’Kaji-kun, you go first. Vic called me if he was downstairs. So I had to get to him,’’ Eve said.

‘’No need. I'll get the bodyguards to pick him up. You just recovered, so don't take too many roads first,’’ said Kaji.
