Chapter 23 The Murder Plan

Once again, his step-brother ruined his life. He had tried to watch out for Cordelia's movements, but the woman had always managed to trap him.

‘’When I realize later, I will tell everyone that you two have been treating me so badly, especially you Cordelia! I'll tell dad that you set me up at the hotel,’’ Eve said.

Cordelia glared and approached Eve. He grabbed his half-brother's hair and banged it on the floor.

‘’Heh? You think you can do it?’’ challenge Cordelia.

Eve grimaced in pain after her head hit the floor earlier. His consciousness seemed to be gone for a moment. He could feel fluid flowing from his head. Cordelia stood up, then stepped on her half-sister's back.

‘’The Raymond family has kicked you, and you still wish dad would hear you? This brother is too naive. At the same time, today the Laurence family has only one daughter, and that is me, Cordelia Laurence!’’

Eve grimaced in pain as the right shoe overlaid her back.

‘’You're just ruining the honor of the Laurence family, and we don't need anyone like that! You better go, before we both do more than this!’’ ms Christa's orders.

Eve stared at the room behind the two women in front of her, where her father was being dealt with. But Cordelia pushed him to leave quickly.

I will remember this, Eve said in her heart.

A tear fell from the corner of her eye with her hands clenched as she stared at the two women.

With a heavy heart, Eve walked out of the hospital.

Raymond's Residence

When Rey's secretary opened the car door holding an umbrella, Adam just walked in to let the rain hit him, so the man diverted the umbrella to Mr. Moriarty.

Adam walked in without a care the servants welcomed him. His steps came to a halt when he saw the dining table decorated. Without saying anything, he simply headed straight to his room.

After what happened earlier, the servants just kept their heads down. Mr. Moriarty ordered to clean the dining table, as they did not welcome it.

The adult man also just went straight to his room.

‘’What happened? Why is it like this?’’

‘’Is Young Miss really such a person?’’

‘’When I was very happy to hear the pregnancy news Young Miss earlier.’’

‘’But I can't believe that Young Miss is like that.’’

‘’True, we all know that Young Miss is an educated person. There is no way Young Miss would do something like this.’’

‘’Don't Young Miss be framed?’’

‘’But Young Miss admits it in front of everyone.’’

‘’Argh, I'm really confused!’’

‘’Ush, you better shut up. Don't let the Big Lord and Young Master hear us.’’

‘’Mm, Big Lord and Young Master must have been devastated, so must the family of Young Miss.’’

Adam & Eve's Room

Adam looked around. Usually, at this hour Eve would prepare warm water in the bath for her, and give her pajamas after she was done. Not wanting to think about it, made her head straight to the bathroom.

Once inside the bathroom, Adam recalled the incident this afternoon when he and Eve took a bath in the same tub.

The man was about to prepare warm water, but his intention came to a halt when he saw the water filling the bathtub. He realized that the bathtub was filled with water.

As I recall this tub was empty when me and Eve finished the bath. The water was still slightly warm, was he the one who prepared it?

Hospital

This was the first time the two women had felt at peace for as long as they lived. Miss Christa really did not expect, her daughter accelerated this plan. She initially thought Eve was pregnant with her son Adam, but she didn't.

‘’Finally we got rid of that woman. Now there is nothing more to be a barrier between myself and Adam,’’ happy Cordelia.

‘’You really gave me a surprise Cordelia,’’ compliment Christa.

Cordelia smiled as she raised both eyebrows. He immediately realized something.

The woman turned on her phone and typed something.

‘’What are you doing?’’ ask Christa's mom.

‘’Contact my acquaintance,’’ replied Cordelia.

‘’For what?’’ confused by Ms. Christa.

‘’Meliminate sister.’’

Bu Christa glared at Cordelia's reply. She did not expect her daughter to go that far. But he actually wanted this too. It's good that they just obliterate Eve so that the woman doesn't show up again.

Funeral

Amidst the torrential rain, Eve stood staring at her mother's tombstone. He just let the rain wash over him on that cold night. His cries and rain water were fused together.

His lips and skin had even turned white from the cold. Don't know what to say in front of his mother's grave again. Only a blank stare could Eve cast.

Adam & Eve's Room

Adam also only gave a blank look as he walked out of the bathroom. Once again, he saw the contents of his room empty without Eve present.

The man walked towards the light table. He opened the desk drawer and saw a lot of piles of paper in it. Yes, a piece of paper that Eve often wrote as the woman made her green tea every morning.

His phone suddenly shook, making him grab the thing. Notices from Kamiya Kaji.

Sorry, Adam-san. I'm not going to visit your house because I got a call from Japan. The police contacted me to handle a case, so once again I'm sorry. Let's meet at another time.

Adam locked his phone back without replying to the message. His gaze again led to a pile of scrap paper inside the drawer of the lamp table.

Bugh!

The man closed the drawer of the lamp table roughly, then locked it. He laid his body on the mattress while covering both eyes using his arms, covering the flowing clear grains.

City Streets

Amidst the heavy rain, Eve walked through the streets of the city without using an umbrella. He doesn't know where else to go.

Eve briefly visits the restaurant where she works, and sees Vic joking with other workers. He abandoned his intention to ask for help, and chose to leave.

The woman held her stomach because she was hungry. Since then, he has not eaten anything.

Eve wanted to stop by the store across the street, but a black car stopped her. Because of the heavy rain, the streets there became quiet making a group of men immediately kidnap him.

‘’Hei! You're who? Why take me?! Hey!’’ exclaim Eve.

Eve was too noisy, making one of the men read more. He tried to scream but his efforts were in vain. His hands and feet were also tied.
