Chapter 404. Day One As Academy Student. 2
In the hall, after the new students spent nearly 3 hours listening to the welcome from the School Board, Magic Council, teacher introductions and other things, Kino looked at his pocket watch.
He looked at his watch as one of the senior representatives read out the text of the speech. Even a Kino can look lethargic and completely powerless.
“10.23am. Didn't say it was only until 8 a.m. Why did it add up to almost two and a half hours?” mumbled slowly
The best thing is that it's not just Kino who feels that way. Kaito himself looked at his pocket watch as if every second was taken into account by him.
Ryou doesn't even like to stand up so he chooses to sit on the floor. He did it smoothly because their position was at the very back of the line. He did not care about the views of everyone who tried to hold back in the middle of that boring speech.
“This is all because the fat guy was” his grunts, “If only the fat guy who claimed to be a master of magic defense did not use melodrama and cried like drama on tv, it was over two hours ago!”
The student behind Ryou pokes his back, “Oi, you. Better get up before ketauan” he said slowly
“I don't want to!” Ryou insisted
“But later you will be punished if you look”
“Let's be seen! I was intentionally like this so that they realized that this insignificant ceremony could drive all the new disciples crazy. Senior-senior must also feel the same way with me!” said
The student became confused and looked at his right and left. Many of the new disciples were already tired but refrained from standing up. Only Ryou can relax while sitting on the floor.

About two and a half hours ago, all the disciples gathered. Kaito and the two brothers part ways with Xenon and Jene.
“You are in contact with other students. We have to go together to march on the Magic” Council group Xenon said
“Alright, Xenon-san, Jene-san. Be careful ya”

Xenon and Jene are gone. That morning, they were not with Jessie because the girl had already gone to her division room for document reporting.
Be the remaining three teenagers from that other world now. They tried to blend in with the others though not so closely.
Just simply getting into the crowd was not something that could be called as blending in, but it was enough than they looked like a lost child in the market.
“Where are you?” ask Kaito
“Where's what? We have to stay here, Kaito. If you want to disappear yourself, just do”
“I mean, we will definitely be told to line up like yesterday again. Where do we go and where will we be”
“Rear!” Ryou instantly replied quickly, “We should be at the back. Not in the backmost position is not a problem, but obviously we should not be in front of”
“Why?”
“Because of the limit of emotions that I can endure during the ceremony is only one hour. More than that, I will be a child figure ‘my pace’. Kino knows my habits!”
Kaito immediately looked at Ryou's brother with a confused face.

There was a scream from behind him. Ryou looked followed by Kino and Kaito's sight which saw two people coming closer.
“Ryou! We finally meet again!”
“Luna?! Piero too!”
Ryou greeted the two people. If remembered by him again, the brother wants to be introduced to both. Given this, Ryou immediately introduced the two to Kino and Kaito.
“Kino, Kaito, this is my acquaintance in the exam room two days ago”
“Include, my name is Luna Light”
“I Piero Michael Viin, greetings know you both”
Kino smiled and reached out his hand as he was about to shake hands, “My name is Yuki Kino, greetings”
“Kaito, greetings know”
“Same aroma as Ryou although slightly different. You're Ryou's sister, nyaa~”

“Huwaaa~your sister is adorable, Ryou! New nyaa!”
The cat-breed girl seemed very happy to meet Kino, I don't know what she felt. Then he let go of his hand and looked towards Kaito. Just like before, he sniffed Kaito.
“Hmm?”
“What's up?” ask Kaito confused
“Ah! It's nothing!” Luna backed up and smiled as if hiding something. She muttered a little, ‘Why do I smell a strange scent from her?’
I don't know what the cat-breed girl named Luna knows about Kaito, but from here there are two people who feel awkward about him besides Emily.
Piero asked the three, “You guys yesterday took a special meeting huh?”
“Me?”
“True. When we all came out, you guys didn't come out”
Kino understands the meaning of the question but does not mean to say the truth to avoid misunderstandings.
“We are only asked to do small things. That's it”

Sound of announcement, “To all students and students are expected to gather and form a line. The acceptance and welcoming ceremony by the School Board will start” soon
They're marching soon. As Luna and Piero advanced along with the other students, Ryou held onto Kino and Kaito's hands to remain silent until the line began to form. And after the line started to extend, Ryou placed the two near him.
Kino is right in front of Ryou while Kaito is in the left side row of Ryou but aligned with him.
Initially, the speech was given by an old grandfather named Master Dresden Heidelberg as the School Board.
The contents of his remarks more or less discussed the reception that lasted short because of the emergency and aimed to improve the security of the eastern region of the outstanding issue, gave birth to talented magic users and became the spearhead in the power of society.
Then, the next speech was delivered by Lucas Xelhanien as the leader of the Magic Council. Not much different from the master, he also welcomed the new students with a positive aura and constructive words.
For the first 30 minutes everything went well. However, the unexpected came after Lucas closed his welcome words.
A fat lady with a pretty flashy look instantly took over the mic and delivered a welcome, or we could call that a nonsense sentence.
“All of you, I am Lady Barbara Lindsey and am your defense teacher. All of you, don't let your guard down!”
The reactions of all the staff and members of the Magic Council became very white. Like having a nightmare, this is why the speech took so long to end.
Lady Barbara Lindsey, a first-rate defense teacher, means she'll be a teacher to all new students delivering things that really have nothing to do with learning.
“And you juniors, never be tempted by the nonsense of your senior brother!”
“There have been many elopement cases in all schools and I will not let striped men tease weak women who want to study”
“My experience of being a teacher in this place, as a teacher, I always give knowledge how to defend myself from the temptations of irresponsible people”
“That's why I, Lady Barbara Lindsey, devote myself as an expert teacher in the field of defense. Good defense physical, mental even romance!”
Ryou who had almost reached his limit started to get tired of standing up. He even whispered to his brother.
“How long will we listen to this pointless talk, Kino?”
“I don't know but I don't want to hear it myself, Ryou”
“He's worse than the bald guy in our school. I want to throw that fat guy with my shoes”
“Ryou, don't be. Calm down a little. Maybe ten more minutes finished”
“Good. I'll hold myself for ten minutes. If he's not done, I'll sit on the floor”
Kino sighed and began to take her pocket watch. He opened the clock and began to hope that ten minutes would quickly come.
Kaito who saw Ryou finished whispering asked, “Start losing ammunition patience?”
“That's. I'll hold myself for ten minutes as Kino” wishes
“Fight. I'm also tired of that shit”
And it was unexpected that all those stories flowed all the way to topics that were beyond common sense.
Complete was Ryou's tiredness which made him sit on the floor.

That's how it happened. And now, the time on Kino's watch shows at 10:30 after one of the seniors finished reading the text of his speech.
“I've spent my time listening to that useless phrase from that fat man. Sucks once”
