Chapter 25: Angel and Demon

When Regal is confused about having to contract with Kurdan or not, he is preparing for the next game. Regal came up on stage accompanied by the cheers of the people. When he looked at the podium of the rulers, there was no longer the presence of Callen.

Until finally Regal saw at the entrance of the participants, Callen entered in black military clothes complete with white pants tied with a belt that looks like an artifact. Regal had been waiting for this fight since the very beginning they met, a human with Dragon blood and a human with Nephilim blood. They were both attracted to each other after their meeting and this is where they are now.

"The final match between Regal the Mercenary and the Princess of the Kingdom of Belterre, Princess Callen Belterre is about to begin!" Everyone applauded hearing that. The two of them did not take their eyes off even though the spectators were cheering for them, when the referee had come down and the bell was rung, they both finally officially fought.

Regal put up his horses, and so did Callen. Everyone was obviously shocked, instead of using weapons, Callen used his bare hands to fight. It was only natural because the Dragon's claw was one of the strongest weapons on the face of this earth.

The two defend each other and attack. Callen with his hands and feet, and Regal with Gram. The two men were balanced, even though Callen was shorter attacking distance but he was able to hit and make Regal continue to be at the distance of his attack. On the other hand Regal who has obstacles when he holds one attack but appears the other attacks are really hassles especially Callen can attack with both hands and feet.

But with a view of Regal's future, he could see Callen's attack path even though Callen attacked with two arms at once. But Regal felt something strange from Callen's attack, but eventually retreated for a moment to examine Callen's soul.

Regal can see Mana Callen getting bigger every time her heart beats. Callen initially attacked with 1 punch per second but now he can launch 10 strokes per second. Here Regal also realized how powerful the Aura of Callen was, his wrist and fist were not injured when hit by the sharp side of Gram, Regal obviously could not continue this way, he said,he swung his sword from top to bottom.

As he swung the sword, instead of retreating but Callen instead advanced and approached, himself was hit by Regal's slash but it had no impact. Regal had realized it from the beginning, in addition to the hands and feet that did not break due to withstand Regal's attack, Regal's sword also felt like heavier every time he was hit.

"Air Force" Callen mounted the horses and punched Regal with a fist that surpassed the speed of sound. The fist was really strong until Regal who had been protected by the sword and Adamas could be thrown to the end of the arena.

Regal's hand trembled, he finally realized what had just happened. Regal finally did the horses again and did the Abyss Step. Regal appears behind Callen and he quickly performs a slash, but Callen's incredible reflexes allow him to fend off with his wrist. When Callen wanted to punch Regal in the air, Regal suddenly disappeared and quickly appeared behind Callen again.

When Callen tried to walk, he suddenly felt his legs would not lift. And as he looked at his feet, he could see the slash marks that pierced through the flesh on his knees and elbows.

"Basic cockroaches..." Callen looked at Regal who was smiling. "Your body is really hard, I can't even hurt your arm with my sword. But that doesn't mean I can't hurt you..."

Regal is currently installing the Abyss Veil. His sword was currently able to break through the defenses of Callen which would be troublesome for Regal. Callen, however, was able to cover up the wound quickly, even though it was only his external wounds that he healed.

The movement of Callen is getting hampered, the kick and the punch are not as fast as before. Regal could sense that as the two of them again attacked each other. Until finally Regal disappeared again, when he disappeared Callen immediately knew he was behind, but Callen could not spin fast enough to hold him.

As Regal's sword was about to touch Callen, Callen suddenly hit the ground with an extremely powerful force. So powerful Regal immediately bounced because of the shock wave. At this point Regal finally realized the ability of Callen. He thought that the Aura that Callen had was very strong, so strong that he could defend and attack very well, but not that...

"You have a pretty unique element huh?" Regal smiled as he asked Callen. Callen smiled and replied. "You too..." They both know each other's abilities at this point, Callen knows that Regal's soul diminishes over time, while Regal is aware of Callen's elemental powers.

It was neither Vis nor Aura without elements. The white aura surrounding Callen was also not the Aura of the light element. It was an earthquake element, Regal realized that after their fight. His body was like dampening the power from Gram, and his fist would shake Regal's sword to the point where Regal almost let go of his grip. Although it makes no sense to make an earthquake an element, Regal knew that there used to be a Dragon with the same element.

Every time Callen's heart beats, he gets stronger, both in physical and in magic. The problem is that Regal has not replenished his soul, he has not slept or eaten any dreams from the trip to this match. He felt that the soul he had gathered now had started to run out and now he was consuming his own soul.

Regal with Gram who was wrapped in Abyss Veil finally carried out the attack. He swung his sword again from top to bottom, Calen who was aware of Regal's sword could now pierce through it while currently advancing while dodging the sword.

With his strength as well as his technique, Regal raised his sword and performed the Avenger perfectly. It was fortunate that Regal had never performed the Avenger perfectly and made the vertical sword swing of Regal seem like a bad habit.

Callen who saw that quickly dodged but he had to pay for it with his arm hit by the attack. When he saw Regal had finished doing the slash he finally approached Regal. Callen who got into the distance of Regal's attack did not realize that he still had more. The training using Abyss Veil that came from the Boom of Ataraxia really paid off. Abyss Veil can make Regal swing his sword with more light even though the sword becomes heavier.

It made a fatal mistake to let itself be at the distance of the attack again, because the Avenger did not stop there.

"The new "Smoldering Fangs" Regal raised his sword after the Avenger now placed his sword on his shoulder with the blade behind Regal's head. A moment after he entered the horses Regal instantly performed a slash with abundant soul energy making an extremely powerful horizontal slash.

Callen who realized the danger of the attack finally retreated while crossing his arms. However he was slower than Regal's third slash which contained abundant power, when Callen was hit by the sword he was not cut but he was thrown to the right along with Regal's sword swing.

Everyone can see Callen's left hand, almost broken, as if only his bones can keep the hand awake. Regal tried to catch his breath, his hands were severely injured from resisting Callen's attacks, but while he was breathing Regal off guard...

Callen was still awake and he immediately hit Regal, Regal who saw it quickly held him with Gram, but Gram who was late finally only withhold part of the attack. Callen's fist entered and hit Regal's right abdomen, followed by a kick that attacked Regal's left side, followed by a kick that attacked Regal's left side,he could feel his heart bursting and a broken, splintered rib now piercing through Regal's internal organs.

But before Regal lost consciousness he did Foul Legacy. Foul Legacy happened because Regal immediately focused on repairing his heart to unconsciously trigger it, even though everyone now saw Regal was wrapped in Mana from the Devil, but Regal did not care about it.

When everyone was shocked, there was only one person laughing. He was Callen who was currently laughing at the demonic form of his opponent. "In the end you can't defend your humanity...?" Suddenly the Aura in Callen's body focused to several places, at this time Callen was covered by a beautiful silver light.

When the light disappeared, Callen appeared with a new form. Callen wore silver armor with black stripes, dark blue skirts, knee-high black socks, silver boots, and a silver crown like accessory.

He looked more graceful now, different from Regal who looked creepy, Callen looked more like an Angel than a Dragon, but everyone could feel the overflowing Aura from behind that beauty,they are like seeing a beautiful thorny rose but can hurt anyone. Regal who was currently in Foul Legacy mode did not wear his black wings as it would only get in the way.

The two monsters looked up, they both had healed their injuries but they knew that right now they would only be injured even worse, but both of them had smiling faces. They both attacked and killed each other, but they enjoyed it...
