Chapter 21: The Phantom Blade

Regal continued to experiment in Avior's study, while Avior tried to read the book given by Regal.

"Gosh, this thing is really amazing..." Avior was amazed by the book he read.

"Notes from his birth to becoming a Demon King have been recorded in this book. With this we know what skills the Demon King of Madness has. Are you listening...?" Avior asked who saw Regal was currently playing the spirit sword.

"I call this Phantom Blade. This thing is amazing, I can make up to a hundred swords with this sword with a little energy consumption." Avior breathed. "Then what are you gonna do, son?"

Regal pulled the Phantom Blade into his storage dimension and replied. "I guess I'll wait at the bar until I get a new contract."

Hearing that Avior immediately took a scroll from under his cloak. "Give this to King Geralt Wimbledon." Regal then asked with a smiling face. "What's my gift?" Avior answered immediately. "I wrote it on paper. Take it and you'll know!"

Regal finally left the room after putting it in his dimension storage room.

The two of them finally went out of the castle, Kaiman and Red Viper immediately welcomed their arrival. "Why is it so long?" Anne asked Regal.

"I'm helping with his research, are we going back to Wimbledon?" Ask Finnley Regal. "Well, in addition to escorting away we are also paid to escort home. Hey Kaiman hurry up and get your reward and we'll go!" Kaiman fearfully replied. "All right!!"

After that they finally returned home to Wimbledon safely, at the entrance gate the Red Vipers and Regal did farewell.

"So Regal, are you interested in getting into the Red Viper? You're gonna be a really good mascot for us you know?" Finnley asked Regal with a smiling face but Regal shook his head. "I prefer to be alone..."

Hearing that Finnley sighed. "Basin the lone wolf... Then I'll see you!" Finnley and the others waved, while Anne kissed Regal's cheek. "You're young, but you know how to please women. Play to our headquarters sometime!" Regal smiles. "Well..."

They all finally left. "Now..." Regal put on Adamas and went walking to the royal palace. While at the gate, Regal was blocked by the knights.

"The disinterested are forbidden to enter!" The gatekeeper commemorates Regal, but he pulls out a scroll from Avior.

"I was ordered by Grandmage to deliver a message!" The guards who saw Avior's stamp opened the door.

"We're sorry, you can come in!" Regal finally entered the palace accompanied by one of the guards. Until finally they were right in front of the throne room, the soldier knocked on his door.

"A messenger from Grandmage Avior came to see the King!" The door slowly began to open, the knight lowered his head and excused him to leave.

Regal then went inside the palace, as he entered he could see that this palace was more luxurious and more colorful than in the Abyss.

Regal then knelt before the King and Queen. The king who had blond hair and his wife who had pitch-black hair allowed Regal to stand up.

"I came here on the orders of Grandmage Avior, and he left this message after I signed a contract with him." Regal gave the letter to one of the servants. The servant gave it to the King and was finally read by him.

Hearing that Regal was immediately shocked. "Well?!"

Regal and one of the servants entered into the throne room. He could see there were many good things there, but none of them attracted his interest. To Regal, all of this looked like low-level artifacts in the Abyss.

Until finally Regal saw something that interests him. "What is this thing? Regal looked at a magic book.

"That's the Book of Ataraxia. This thing is a magic book containing Primordial Magic, a book that allows you to use various kinds of magic but the magic does not use Mana, but with the soul of the wearer as payment."

Regal looked at this book carefully, he could use Vis to create various kinds of skills which were more soul and Mana use. However, this book contains magic that only consumes one's soul without any Mana payment at all.

"I'll take this." Regal transferred the Mana in his body to the book, making it able to fuse with that open in an instant, the book turned into light and entered into Regal. Now Regal could see the magic-magic that used Primordial Magic.

"Hey, I'll ask you. Did that Primordial Magic already exist before the Gods?" The waiter shook his head.

"Primordial Magic became extinct after the dark ages, meaning it was extinct before the existence of the two main Gods, Aria and Teloch." Hearing that, Regal finally realized the intent of Vis. Adrian tried to resurrect Primordial Magic back, and Regal had currently reached such a move.

That day Regal entered the forest near the village, the forest was inhabited by Goblins who kidnapped the villagers, especially the women,but the villagers did not have enough money to hire adventurers.

Regal didn't come here for money. He tried for the magic test he had right now...

"Alright, this Primordial Magic is quite difficult... I must read Enochian to recite the mantra." Regal was still a bit difficult with the language, but he had the Enochian in his brain.

"Abyss Veil" Adamas and Gram were covered in the same bright blue light as Regal's Vis and disappeared in an instant, this time Regal's soul consumption was huge because it did Vis and Abyss Veil together, respectively,however he could feel his protection and his attacks increasing drastically.

Evidently from Regal cutting several Goblins in half without any effort, Regal's slash emitted a bright blue light that cut through the opponent.

In witchcraft there is a magic named Mana Burst. It was an advanced enchant magic to strengthen your weapon by consuming a lot of Mana. Regal feels it is pretty much the same, though he can use Vis to his sword but it will be more effective to focus Vis to his body and this magic to his gear.

Maybe Regal's body is burdened with draining the soul to do 2 tasks at once, but it's all worth it. Vis is a body strengthening technique, it is not suitable for use on inanimate objects and makes it difficult for Vis wearers only to coat the dagger with Vis.

But the Abyss Veil performed a perfect enchantment on Adamas and Gram, which was easier to make than having to fight while draining Vis into his body and weapons at once.

For now that was the only magic Regal wanted to learn. Although there are many other magic in the book, it requires using Caster's equipment, which is contrary to what Adrian taught.

But there is something Regal can get by honing the Abyss Veil. With a smile on his face, the young man went deeper into the depths of the forest to become his experimental material...
