Among the Million Love

Among the Million Love
Chapter 4 ~A Promise With Doctor Andre

Today my schedule is free until two in the afternoon. I busied myself fiddling with the files on my computer screen, observing one by one the names of my little patients. The date and place they were born, yes not important but enough to fill my free time.

Suddenly the door of my room was knocked,

"Lake in." Excitingly,

"Oh, doctor Andre? What's up, doc?" I straightened my seat, while Doctor Andre turned the chair around and sat in front of me.

"Are you the one who diagnosed the patient named Ivan?" Ask Dr. Andre.

I try to remember, though,

"Iwana? Hemm... That little boy?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Yes, according to my diagnosis he has a blood disorder, leukemia. Have they met you? I advised them to come see you." My speech.

"Yes they met me last week." Doctor Andre replied. Lately, he's the doctor who visits my room a lot. Cancer specialist who is still single, either single parent or single jones (jomlo ngenes, rek! Haha)

"Continue how did it go? Has my diagnosis been unproven?" I asked a doctor in front of me. It's not that I'm not sure of my abilities, it's just that there's still a possibility that doctors' diagnoses are sometimes not entirely correct before there's concrete medical evidence through lab tests. Please understand because doctors are also human beings have a heart, have a sense, and logic.

"Your diagnosis is correct, Ivan has had leukemia since last year and is currently stage 3." Doctor Andre said.

"I'm so sorry, doc. After all, this was already God's will, an unexpected illness befell a child who was so cheerful and sinless."

"Yes, you're right. I also felt the sadness of those around me." Doctor Andre.

"That's, doc?" Shrieking confused by the answer.

"Yes, a little story about my life. I have a twin sister, but she's a girl and her name is Andriya. At the age of two, Andriya was diagnosed with a similar disease. And in a short time God took it, so now I'm the only son in my family." Doctor Andre's story.

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Indeed, the disease can attack anyone without age, yes, doc." I said, honestly confused about what to respond to it. Sad, for sure. But, do not want me to be the cause of his heart wound back open in memory of his brother.

"Yes, that's what he will." Answer Andre.

Silent....

"Oh yeah? Doctor Andre what interest is there in my room?" Changing the subject will be fun, maybe.

"Can't ya?" Ask Dr. Andre. He was pouting, I was scared.

"No-no, it's not like it's just unusual. Hehehe," I'll give it up.

"I want to ask you a favor, Doctor Dysa." He said in a sloppy tone.

"Please? What can I help you with?" I asked, my enthusiasm rose to help while I could.

"Two weeks away, my distant brother is having a wedding and there's a party of course. You know what I mean, Doc?"

I frowned, pretending to be looking for answers.

Tuk, tuk, tuk (i tapped my fingernails on my desk) aka didn't want to answer.

"Take me to the party, will you?" Doctor Andre said.

"Hem, what's the reward?" I touched myself with my words just now.

'Drawl?' Hahaha, crazy am I?

"That's whatever you want the doctor to do" replied Dr. Andre.

"Whatever do I want? Hem, well I'm asking for a billion dollars for a street night. Hows it? Huh uh?" My bargain.

"Even my salary for a year didn't reach that number. Do I have to sell my kidneys first?" - Doctor Andre.

"Hahaha, no-no. Why did the doctor ask for my help?" My toot.

"Yes, because Dysa's doctor is a single woman. So, I don't have any problems with other men taking you. Yes, right?" - Doctor Andre raised both eyebrows.

"Hihihi, she didn't know that I had a boyfriend. Does he not know or has never seen, who is the man who often comes to see me here?"

"Huh? Yeah, isn't it what?" I asked, propping my chin in response to every utterance that was like a joke to me.

"Aren't you single?" Eyebrows up and down.

"Double is." My answer.

"What?"

"the lamp. Fat on my belly double doc." My chuckles while I'm soooooing.

"Hahahaha, it could have been you. So, Dysa's doctor can't have another appointment huh?" Doctor Andre said while pointing his index finger at me.

"Okee's.." I'm nodding.

"Thank you's. My patient is waiting, sorry. Excuse me, Doctor Dysa. Record the date and don't forget our promise." He said, pointing at me and closing the door to my room.

"Huhhhh! In two days, I've heard two wedding reports. Yes, every day someone gets married." Mumamku himself.

"Mom, sorry, excuse me." Tati's coming.

"Oh yeah, what's up Ti?"

"Someone is looking for mother in front." - Keep.

Searching for? Wh who?

I'm curious, today there's no schedule to meet special patients and I don't think I have an appointment. Who yeah?

"Who, Ti?"
