Among the Million Love

Among the Million Love
Chapter 17 ~Lawyer String Words

It's ten in the night, which means I've been sitting and waiting for Edwin for an hour. It's not the first time he wasn't on time to pick me up. I could only cross my chest with the company of neon lights at this hospital stop, the street lamp post at the end of the intersection went out because it was being repaired, the thin rain more and more threw the cold dark night.

When alone like this I can what? Can only wait patiently, then forgive, and give tolerance. Even if I could choose, I would choose to use public transportation or online motorcycle taxi. But of course when he got home, my mom would ruffle her waist and nag me all out. Back again, if it were not for Mama's request I would have clearly gone home alone even though I had to walk.

Coveted buds ulam also arrived, the flashlight of Edwin's car was seen and right stopped in front of me. Without further ado, I immediately entered it without waiting for Edwin to open the door as he normally would.

“Sorry yes, long.” Her speech.

“No problem, want until any time I will keep waiting there.” Answer,

“Please, Dysa. Don't be mad, I promise this one last time, right?” Edwin cupped his palms together.

“Don't be easy to make promises, I know you may be busy with your clients.” I said, this time without frills “mas”.

“Yaa, I am so sorry. We eat first, right? I'm hungry haven't eaten,” I just nodded.

On the road with a slow car, I said,

“Mas, what's in it for you to pick me up? While you yourself know that from the office where you work with the hospital the distance is not close.”

The man beside me was just smiling knots, I knew maybe his brain was stringing words in response to my words, she said,

“How far it is, it won't be a barrier for me. Doesn't happiness have to be a sacrifice?” The answer.

“What sacrifice did Edwin mean? And what happiness do you expect from just dropping me off every day?” Mas Edwin turned his head towards me for a moment, he nodded while turning the steering wheel at the crossroads.

“My happiness and your happiness no one knows, our future no one knows. But, doesn't this way show that I'm a real, serious man with you? This method is one of my efforts to achieve the future that I hope will bring happiness.” Said the man who was good at stringing that word.

“What if it turns out that I am not happiness in your future? What if we are not united by fate?” I asked, again Mas Edwin shook his head slowly while smiling as if my question had no weight for him.

“Even if we are not united, at least I will never regret wasting you, not regret for never disappointing you and making me hurt, and I've been trying to achieve that happiness even though you're not the one. Am I wrong?” Edwin answered in a neat sentence and with a soft word, I shook my head to justify his words. Indeed what he said was all true and became a lesson for me as well.

“Mas, surely your clients are very satisfied with your work.” I gave her a compliment.

“Why do you know that?”

“Yes, because your sentences are neat and easy to fool the minds of the listeners. I was instantly made to agree with each of your sayings.” My answer.

“Hahahah, fun too you Mas. You could be you, Mom! But I have to thank you, Mom. You're willing to pick me up day and night just because of my mother's request.”

“Hem, I explained the reason earlier. Come down, it's up.” He went down first, approached the security guard and talked to the restaurant officials there.

I was amazed by her kindness, but what can I do? Even my heart and mind refuse to say that I like it even if it's just the way it looks.

Love cannot be forced, my ego is stronger than having to choose a sweet gulp of love that I don't think it's time for my heart to open up and accept anyone.

He got back in the car, sat down and put his seatbelt on again.

“Why, Mas? Not be?” My tofu,

“The place has been booked,” he replied.

“Continue going where?”

“Just go home, it's night. Later you are sought after your papa mama,” he replied as he twirled the steering wheel of his car drove and left the place.

“Terus what do you eat dong? Says he hasn't eaten?” I empathize.

“Easy, later buy fried rice at the foot of five Pancoran only.” Answer with the rarity.

I held my wriggling laughter tickling at the side of my stomach, he said it was easy to buy fried rice after spending an hour on the way to this restaurant.

“Damn yes indeed the owner of the Chinese restaurant, do not know what people are hungry anymore?!” I said annoyed, though,

“Iya, you know that we just bought aja mi tek-tek on the side of the road near the post office crossroads that.” He was hooked and emotional too,

“Hahahha!” I laughed again.

Kruyukk….

“What's the noise?” I heard something, though,

“Basic belly brash.” Answer's relaxed.
