True Love of the Heir

True Love of the Heir
CSP. 66

Arsen sat in his chair with a deep frown. His fingers pressed his computer keyboard keys firmly. His eyes did not blink staring at the screen. It was obvious that there was something he was seriously thinking about.

It seems he thought very highly of Anthony's warning about Rossie coming to Indonesia and on the first day set foot in the main residence directly feuding with Areef.

Arsen was inexhaustible with the thought of the woman who had given birth to him. Can't it interfere with my life? When I started to design my path of happiness, disinterested people came along, annoying!

Arsen pulled himself from the front of the computer, turning his chair ninety degrees backward. He leaned his head against the back of the chair and closed his eyes for a few moments. Hopefully with that feeling of dizziness that reaches his head will also disappear.

At that moment, the door of his room was knocked. Arsen looked to sigh, "Come in!" he screamed hard enough. Then, Galen came in with some files. "This president records the transaction and lists the asset project manager you requested."

Galen placed some of those files right next to the Arsen computer that was on. Arsen just muttered softly, he gestured for Galen to get out of his room immediately.

"The meeting will begin in an hour, President." Galen reminded, perhaps Arsen forgot. Seeing his lackluster boss made Galen a little scared.

"I know I'll be there 15 minutes after they get together" Arsen said, half whispering. Galen nodded in understanding and then left without saying a word.

Arsen again dissolved in his daydream, not yet perfectly lost his sadness, the problem again came to him without stopping. Forcing him to launch patiently many times. Problems keep changing. Come and go.

Then, he opened his phone, staring at the screen of his phone when he knew it had been replaced with a photo of Nadira who was smiling. Looking at the picture of his wife, a smile rose on Arsen's lips.

"My dear," he murmured softly. Still staring at the photo of Nadira, Arsen again nurtured his intentions. Arsen thought that he should do his best for his happiness and Nadira. He would not let anyone interfere with their lives.

An hour later, Galen again knocked on the door of his room, reminding Arsen that the meeting was about to begin. Arsen nodded, he got up from his seat and his hand moved justifying his tie.

"Okay, let's get everything done."

***

At the main residence, Areef was seen entering a room containing photographs of memories. There are a lot of photos, compared to a room, the room is more like a photo gallery because of the many photos on the wall.

His hand felt a picture of a beautiful young woman, looking exactly like her. His fingers grabbed the figura and stared at it for a long time, his index finger stretched out rubbing it slowly. Sighing in a deep breath, Areef put it back down.

"Ten years, Rossie. Ten years is not a short time, son. But the wound .... " Areef sat down, his shoulders shaking up and down, the sadness he endured ten years ago finally spilled out as well.

Anthony who was behind him immediately looked at him and sat him in a chair near the big figura.

"Great Master," said Anthony, feeling sorry for his master. Anthony had worked in the Harrington family and followed Areef long before Arsen was born. He knew more than anyone about the grief that Areef harbored.

"Anthony, did I make a fatal mistake? To the extent that my own daughter stood up against me" Areef said on the sidelines of his sobbing.

Anthony crouched down and held Areef's knees slowly. "Master, you're very kind. What happened ten years ago between them was not the Great Lord's fault."

"But I bear it all, Anthony. I'm responsible for that boy's loneliness and pain for years."

Areef rubbed his eyes slowly. The freshness and wisdom that normally loomed on his face was washed away also by the sadness.

"That's true and I'm grateful Arsen found the right woman. But, Anthony, in their relationship there are still thorns attached, and I'm afraid that one day those thorns will separate the two."

Areef grew increasingly confused by his own thinking until he coughed several times. "Master, don't think too much. I'm sure the two won't repeat the same mistake" Anthony said as he swept Areef into his room to rest.

Anthony helped her lie down well and asked Areef not to think too much about things that could interfere with her recovery.

"Anthony, please call Nadira, I'd like to have a one-on-one conversation with her" Areef said as Anthony finished helping her. Anthony nodded and walked out.

However, his steps were stopped due to the presence of a female figure in the doorway of Areef's room.

"Grandpa's looking for me? What's up?" nadira asked as she walked in and sat on the edge of Areef's bed. The old man looked at him lovingly.

"It just so happens that you come, son," said Areef, trying to get up to lean his back against the couch. Nadira helps him.

"Grandfather if not healthy better just now," Nadira protested when she heard Areef grimacing.

Areef then looked at Anthony, giving him instructions to go make a cup of coffee for his granddaughter-in-law.

"How are you, son? What about his recovery?" ask Areef as soon as Anthony leaves the room.

"Good, Grandpa. This is just coming home from the hospital, Nadira is bored at home, does not know where to go. Remember Grandpa, so come here on purpose, huh," said Nadira cheerfully. Areef covered his smile.

"Where is Arsen? He didn't take you for a walk?"

"Work dong, Grandpa. Nadira was here to ask about Mas Arsen's birthday celebration."

Areef seemed to remember, a few days away was indeed Arsen's twenty-eighth birthday. Because of the arrival of Rossie, he forgot the important thing.

"Grandfather?" call Nadira when you see Areef daydreaming. "Grandpa's looking for Nadira to discuss that too, huh?" the question is again adopted by Areef.

"Yes, you have a plan, son?"

Nadira looked small. "There, anyway, Grandpa. But Nadira does not know this is suitable or not the same style Grandpa and Mas Arsen," replied Nadira with a small oddity.

Areef also seemed to be chuckling, seeing Nadira before him now was enough to make him feel calmer. Perhaps, his worries were unfounded, perhaps he was the one who thought too much.

Later, Nadira tells Arsen her plans for Arsen's birthday. In his place, Areef listened well, occasionally giving small responses and laughing. That's how the interaction between the two goes.

Nadira already considered Areef as his own grandfather. Areef's wisdom and the prestige he had made Nadira amazed, respectful and familiar.

Areef nodded as Nadira revealed all her plans. "Well, just do what you want, kid. Grandpa's doing great, too" said Areef.

Nadira smiled, "Okay, Grandpa."
