Ch 82's. The Unknown Species
Ren Yuu and Cai'Zi know that the Crystal is actually an egg.
"What is this egg? Why would it take blood to hatch it?" Ren Yuu was astonished because the egg in front of him needed energy from blood to hatch.
Eggs are increasingly having cracks. Then the egg broke and showed a tiny creature as long as 5 cm.
The tiny creature slowly ate the rest of the egg shell after looking around for a moment.
"What monster is this?" Cai'Zi asked in astonishment and continued, "is this a poisonous Green Snake that can't even reach Core Formation?"
Ren Yuu twitched to hear him and just kept silent while looking at the small snake in front of them. After finishing eating the eggshell, the snake looked towards Ren Yuu and Cai'Zi.
The snake hissed then jumped towards the first Ren Yuu.
Ren Yuu was stunned and looked at the snake carefully while the small snake was nearby. The little snake rubbed its head against Ren Yuu's cheek then jumped again towards Cai'Zi and did the same.
"How can this snake jump without legs?" Asked Ren Yuu. Ren Yuu was dumbest for comparing the monster beast snake to the worm on the ground.
Cai'Zi's face trembled slightly as he wanted to laugh but still held him back and watched the snake as well.
"It seems like this snake considers us its parents," Ren Yuu somewhat awkwardly also mentioned that.
Cai'Zi did not care at all and continued to look towards the snake. Ren Yuu also approached Cai'Zi and looked at the snake closely again.
The little snake was green in color with faded red lyrics. On the snake's head was a mark like a droplet of dark red blood almost black.
The snake's eyes are yellow with vertical pupils in red. And there's one that makes all the awkward out of a snake other than the mark on his forehead. It was a small wing on the back of the snake.
"What species is this? Why do snakes have wings?" Ask Cai'Zi wonder. The snake simply flicked its tongue out a sign responding to Cai'Zi's question.
"This switch is very smart," said Ren Yuu and Cai'Zi also agreed with Ren Yuu's words.
"It seems like I've read about this," Ren Yuu took out a thick old book. Ren Yuu placed it on the stone table and started flipping through the pages in the old book.
Cai'Zi also approached and looked towards the book. Although Cai'Zi did not understand the writing, Cai'Zi knew that it was a book about monster beasts because there was a blurry image printed in each description.
Ren Yuu paused for a while in one courtyard while looking at the snake. Ren Yuu caught the snake and the snake did not fight back at all. Ren Yuu put it next to the book and continued flipping through the pages again.
When he arrived at one courtyard, Ren Yuu was slightly surprised because there was a snake species similar to a snake on the stone table.
"Not this, it's similar. It had no mark on its forehead," Ren Yuu muttered softly and continued flipping through the pages.
"Can you read this book?" Cai'Zi was astonished by Ren Yuu's knowledge of language. Cai'Zi was convinced that it was ancient because he had seen it. His master said that no one else could read the writing.
But, Ren Yuu was here as if he could read all that and that was why Cai'Zi asked out of curiosity.
"Yes, I," Ren Yuu replied flatly and while looking at the old book without blinking.
Cai'Zi was astonished that Ren Yuu could read the ancient writing.
"Why are you getting mysterious?" Inner Cai'Zi and looked at Ren Yuu intently.
"What's wrong?" Ren Yuu asked in surprise.
Cai'Zi was stunned by Ren Yuu's question. "There's nothing." Cai'Zi's answer was flat as usual and made Ren Yuu sigh and look at the book again.
After searching for a long time, Ren Yuu did not find the snake species in front of him.
"There is no recorded species of this snake in the ancient books. It is likely that this snake is an ancient species in a very ancient era and could be a new species" said Ren Yuu and close his hands to the snake. The snake spontaneously rose into Ren Yuu's hands then directly entered into Ren Yuu's clothes.
Ren Yuu felt amused in his body. The little snake was silent at the close of Ren Yuu's neck as if it was a special place for her.
"Is the snake male or female?" Ask Cai'Zi slowly.
"I don't know, it's better to wait for him to grow up and we'll know" Ren Yuu looked around again if there was anything to loot.
But Ren Yuu was disappointed, on this island there was only a strange snake that had just hatched. There is nothing else to use.
Since Ren Yuu knew that the little snake had absorbed the blood earlier, Ren Yuu took a light herb that grew by absorbing blood if it was outside even though it was not in Dimensional Life.
When Ren Yuu fed him, the snake opened its mouth and sucked up only its nutrients but not its herbs.
Ren Yuu was dumbfounded by the speed of that suction. Herbs become dry instantly. The snake hissed towards Ren Yuu and implied it still wanted to again.
Cai'Zi also felt astonished that there was a monster beast that so quickly absorbed the energy from the herbs.
Ren Yuu continuously fed the snake for up to five minutes and finally stopped. The snake was fast asleep which meant a sign was breaking through.
"It looks like his level is going up, it's really strange with those resources that he only broke through once" Cai'Zi said.
Ren Yuu also agreed because it must be difficult to nurture the little snake. But, Ren Yuu was aware of one thing. The newly born monster beast had already developed its mind like a child which meant that the little snake was no ordinary species.
Looking around the cave before, many bones had already become ashes and left only a few significant fragments, while still being eggs, this snake had taken a very long time and absorbed a lot of blood and was about to hatch.
But unfortunately it did not happen until Ren Yuu gave him all the blood of over 50 cultivators and all of them were on average at the sixth-eighth Tier Core Formation.
"Alright let's get out of here," Ren Yuu directly moved slowly out of the snake cave in followed by Cai'Zi.
"Are you going to keep the serpent?" Cai'Zi opened his voice after a few minutes of silence.
"Yes, do you want to keep it too?" Ren Yuu asked back.
"Yes." Yeah."
Ren Yuu pondered for a moment and said, "let this snake come to whom. That'd be better."
Cai'Zi nodded with Ren Yuu saying and the two of them came out from inside the cave. After that, they went again towards the end of the island and it turned out that there was nothing else to harvest.
Cai'Zi took out his transportation device again to cross the sea. The two of them went up and left the small island.
Ren Yuu sighed because the harvest this time was just a small snake that was unknown to its species.
