Advent Tower
Ren Yuu was constantly fighting with the robed like there was no tomorrow at all.
"Why this? What's wrong?" Ren Yuu did not understand what was wrong and calmed himself down.
Ren Yuu tried to recall all the second trials that were being conducted by him.
"The first time I had to let go without forgetting. Both learn to forgive. And this.." Ren Yuu shriveled because he knew what was wrong. This is just a test and not a show for revenge.
Ren Yuu retreated away from his enemy. Gasping for breath, Ren Yuu tried to calm himself down.
Opponent Ren Yuu also stopped as if waiting for something.
Ren Yuu took a deep breath and closed her eyes. Ren Yuu waited for a while and it turned out that the enemy did not attack at all.
When Ren Yuu had calmed down, Ren Yuu opened his eyes and looked towards the front again.
What he saw was the thing that made Ren Yuu want to shout as loudly as possible.
The scene of his parents killing repeated itself and made Ren Yuu very angry and wanted to slash at that person.
"Quiet down!! Be cool!! Don't attack anymore because this isn't the purpose of this test," whispered Ren Yuu as she clenched her hands as tightly as she could as she continuously saw the grievous scene before her.
"Please son!!" Shouted Feng Xuer while looking towards Ren Yuu who was just standing still. Hearing that, Ren Yuu desperately wanted to charge towards her mother to save her mother from being killed again.
"Do you not want to help your mother Yuu'er?" Feng Xuer was crying and shaking as Ren Yuu just kept quiet while clenching her hands.
Then, Feng Xuer was killed again by that cloaked person. The robed man who had just killed Feng Xuer saw Ren Yuu for a moment then suddenly spoke, "why aren't you helping?"
"It's just an illusion." Ren Yuu answered straight and did not beat around the bush.
"While it's just an illusion, you just ignore your family when it gets killed right in front of your eyes" whispered the person and then the murder scene repeated itself over and over again.
Ren Yuu did not know what to do because he did not know the purpose of this illusion. Ren Yuu was furious at seeing this scene continuously from time to time.
"I must remain calm," Ren Yuu took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly. Ren Yuu walked towards the killing scene slowly.
When it reached in front of them, Ren Yuu saw the scene repeat itself. Ren Yuu slowly held back the scene to reoccur.
Ren Yuu's mind was very calm this time and managed to save his mother from getting killed. Ren Yuu took his Dagger and slashed towards the cloaked person.
For some reason, Ren Yuu managed to slash it despite not rushing through or using full force like before.
Ren Yuu sighed and looked at Feng Xuer who was in his arms.
Feng Xuer smiled and touched Ren Yuu's cheek as he said, "remember Yuu'er, don't be controlled by hatred and resentment. You can take revenge. But don't let it rule your mind."
Ren Yuu's eyes glazed over hearing his mother's words and only nodded slowly. Feng Xuer who was smiling slowly faded the land and then disappeared from needing Ren Yuu.
"Goodbye, father, mother." Ren Yuu sighed and actually still wanted to see his father and mother even in the test.
The room changed again to its original place. Ren Yuu only sighed as he felt that this second test had been completed. Ren Yuu felt his body getting weaker as it continuously resisted the corrosion of the Demonic energy.
"I don't have much time," Ren Yuu looked at his entire arm that it already had many black spots.
Suddenly a strange vortex formed again and Patriarch of the Song clan appeared in front of Ren Yuu.
"You have completed the second test. Since you've finished this, I'll give you a gift."
"Before that, I will tell you what the purpose of this second test is. This was usually used for members of the Song clan to control Demonic energy."
"We often lose control. Demonic energy was similar to evil energy and it would eat away at the energy user until it was killed by its own energy."
"By calming the mind, we can control the Demonic energy. But, when we lose control, we will be killed by our own energy. This is the true function of the second test of the Advent tower."
"Aren't you aware that when you go berserk, the Demonic energy within your body is spreading faster and faster?" Ask Patriarch of the Song clan.
Ren Yuu was stunned to hear the words of Patriarch of the Song clan and was indeed right. The Demonic energy within his body very quickly spread out when he was angry or lost control.
"If you do that for another hour, you can be sure that you will be killed even if you have Extreme Energy." Patriarch Song clan paused for a while and continued, "but I am surprised that you can clear this test. I'll give you a present now."
Patriarch of the Song clan waved his staff towards Ren Yuu and Ren Yuu's body was enveloped in an extremely powerful Demonic energy. However this was not as wild as the Demonic energy that was within his body.
The Demonic Patriarchal energy of the Song clan slowly devoured all of the Demonic energy within Ren Yuu's body. Not until one minute, that energy had vanished from Ren Yuu's body.
"That's the first prize. And I'll give you a second gift. You can choose what you like among all the items I offer. But that's just one."
Patriarch of the Song clan took out four items and it floated in the air.
"The first one was a middle-class Tier Supreme Technique. This was one of the strongest Techniques of the Song clan."
Ren Yuu was surprised that there was a Tier Supreme Technique on offer by the Patriarch of the Song clan. Even a Tier Heaven Technique was precious and hard to find if it did not come from a large clan or a leading sect.
"The second item is Black Sword. This sword was at the intermediate Tier Supreme. This is a fairly formidable sword relic of the Song clan."
Ren Yuu stared at the sword for a while and felt less interested because it was a sword and not a Dagger. But, Ren Yuu was also a little surprised at seeing a Tier Supreme weapon.
"The third one is the Demonic Glass Pill. This pill would help increase the cultivation of three layers at once at the Tier Gold Core."
Ren Yuu slightly widened his eyes because Ren Yuu knew what pill it was and it was very powerful and the material was very difficult to obtain. Unfortunately, it could only be used by Tier Gold Core.
"And the latter was three drops of the blood essence of Demonic Bat Tier Immortal Ascension or even higher. I don't know for sure the previous owner of this Demonic Bat blood essence. Because, this blood essence has been around for a long time before I became Patriarch of the Song clan."
Patriarch of the Song clan introduced all the items he owned to Ren Yuu. Only two caught Ren Yuu's attention. That was three drops of Demonic Bat blood essence and a Tier Supreme Technique. But, Ren Yuu had also attracted a little interest in the Demonic Glass Pill.
Ren Yuu thought back to Ren Huanran who would not be a Gold Core for long. That Demonic Glass Pill would be extremely important to him.
"Technics can still be used with Devour Technique manuals. Meaning, only three drops of Demonic Bat blood essence and the Demonic Glass pill were left to choose from," Inner Ren Yuu and tried to think of what was good to choose.
"What is the function of those three drops of Demonic Bat blood essence?" Ren Yuu asked while looking towards the final gift.
"You can filter this to be part of your strength. But, it might not mean much to you. Because, your Extreme Yang energy will reject it if you use it," replied Patriarch of the Song clan and told the consequences also if it was used by Ren Yuu.
Inner Patriarch of the Song clan, "in your body there is also the blood of another clan sealed and waiting to be awakened. It's not wise to add a bloodline that will only harm you." However, Patriarch Song clan did not say that because it was Ren Yuu's choice.
Ren Yuu shriveled and made up her mind, "i'll take the Demonic Glass pill."
Patriarch of the Song clan did not comment at all and gave the pill to Ren Yuu. Ren Yuu instantly stored the pill inside his dimensional space.
Ren Yuu paused for a moment and asked Patriarch of the Song clan. "Do you know what this device is attached to my body?"
Patriarch of the Song clan nodded and said, "it is an Artifact named Dimensional Life. The artifact belongs to the Ren clan since time immemorial. Almost all ancient powerful clans have Artifacts and yours are top-class Artifacts."
"Just like this Advent Tower. The Tower of Advent is a medium-sized Artifact. But, I'll tell you about one fact. This is a Mortal Tier Artifact, which means, when you have reached the Divine Realm, this Artifact will be detached from your body."
"Artifacts are also split into three Tier. But, I won't tell you about it."
Ren Yuu pondered for a moment and simply put her aside.
"Then, what about the third test?" Ren Yuu asked slowly but Ren Yuu's tone was very serious.
"I'll tell you about the third exam. But, I don't know what the prize of the third exam is. We also never saw anyone finish the third exam. Only one person has ever succeeded, namely, the founder of the Song clan."
"This test is against 10,000 enemies of various stages in the same Cultivation Tier. I don't know exactly how many stages are above you because I never tried either. Many geniuses from the Song clan took the third exam. But none of them survived."
Patriarch of the Song clan warned Ren Yuu to think twice about taking the third exam. Because the Patriarch of the Song clan himself would not take the third exam if he managed to pass the second test of the past.
"10,000? Isn't that outrageous?" Ren Yuu was astonished by the number of enemies he would be fighting.
Ren Yuu was not willing to take any risks at all. Ren Yuu had already guessed what the reward of the third exam was and was not too interested in it. The prize is the Advent Tower itself.
From the words of the Patriarch of the Song clan, Ren Yuu's Dimensional Life was a higher grade Artifact than the Advent tower. So, Ren Yuu was not interested at all.
Ren Yuu had already made up his mind and said, "i won't take the third exam."
