30. Honesty vs lying

Caramel returned to the office to meet her husband. Raymond knew something was wrong with his wife. He glanced uneasily at his wife, afraid that anything would happen to him.

Now Raymond's mind could not focus on the report he was holding. His mind was split with the look on his wife's face that seemed to be upset.

Soon he finished his work and took his wife out of the office. Raymond took Caramel to the kitchen for a while to see the area he left for a few days. He asked Chef Roni to handle the kitchen area as long as he was not around.

Looking at the surly Caramel, Raymond grabbed his wife by the waist and took her to a restaurant for snacks and tea.

"Darling, what's going on like this, someone bothering you?" asked Raymond whose hand was still embracing Caramel's waist despite sitting down.

"Huuft..," Caramel only sighed and drank the green tea that was in front of him.

"Dear story.. You forget your husband can find out for himself all that happened to you?" raymond turned his face to see his wife's beautiful face.

"But promise not to be angry, yes" Caramel looked at the face of her husband who was in front of her.

Raymond smiled sweetly and nodded, his hand still tightly holding Caramel's hand that was on the table.

Then Caramel told Raymond about the incident in the toilet, about his quarrel with Nindi and all the words of Nindi who managed to ignite his emotions.

Raymond gripped Caramel tightly in anger until Caramel complained in pain.

"I'm so sorry honey. I'm sorry" said Raymond regretfully.

"I know you must be angry. I beg you not to be angry" said Caramel expectantly.

"So I promise not to get angry" said Caramel.

"Because I love you dear, I won't let anyone hurt you" Raymond said earnestly.

Suddenly Caramel kissed the lips of Raymond in front of him. She was grateful to have a husband who loved her as much as Raymond.

Raymond was lured in and asked for more, but Caramel soon distanced himself from Raymond. They laughed together in a still quiet restaurant.

From the outdoor restaurant Nindi saw the friendly and joking Caramel with Raymond, she felt very angry and envious to see him, because he really wanted to be next to Raymond as his wife.

Nindi clenched her hands and turned red at the sight of Caramel kissing Raymond's lips.

How dare he do that in front of me, Nindi's mind tightened his teeth.

Now Nindi grinned, she walked towards the loudspeakers in the arena area of the game.

His phone was directed to a loudspeaker and he played a recording of his conversation with Caramel in the toilet earlier.

The sound of the loudspeaker echoed throughout the restaurant area and the game arena to the surrounding area.

All employees who are active immediately stop their activities to listen to the sound that is being heard through the loudspeaker.

Including Raymond and Caramel who suddenly stopped from their virginity because they heard the voice.

Raymond moved away from his seat and walked with wide, emotional steps out of the restaurant.

Raymond stared around the gaming arena and around the restaurant, figuring out the person who dared to do that. Raymond already had a picture of who it was, but he couldn't just accuse him without proof.

Caramel shook her head and her eyes glazed over when she saw Nindi who was suddenly among them, and she smirked at Caramel.

Raymond followed Nindi's point of view and he realized that his wife was behind him. Seeing Caramel in shock, Raymond immediately hugged her tightly and rubbed his head to calm her down.

"Relax, everything will be fine" said Raymond, who still hugged Caramel.

Raymond's eyes seemed to pierce them one by one. Raymond did not want his beloved wife to be the subject of their ridicule. Raymond understood that at this time his wife must be very embarrassed and sad because the mind of everyone who heard the tape must be bad for him.

Nindi grew annoyed because of the unexpected. He thought Raymond would be angry if he heard the voice recording, this was even Raymond hugging and calming Caramel who clearly sounded echoing everywhere toying with their marriage.

"Nindi, I know this is what you're doing. Never touch or insult my wife! If you do that again, I can make sure you'll regret it!"

"Dissolve all! Go back to your respective places! Do your job properly!"

Raymond's shouting voice echoed throughout the place, his anger making everyone shrivel their guts. They all left to continue their work.

Only one man did not accept the threat from Raymond. Nindi still remained in that place. It needs to be shrugged off the thumbs up of Nindi's courage who is fearless to anyone.

Nindi walked up to Raymond who was still hugging Caramel and was busy calming him down.

"Chef is not horrified what is in the same words Caramel earlier? He played with your marriage. He's just Chef doang's benefit, Chef realized!" exclaimed Nindi who was very upset with the luck obtained by Caramel.

Raymond turned his head and looked at the cynical Nindi who just kept talking to him.

"Shut up! Never insult my wife! I know everything that's going on and I know more about my wife than you do." shouted Raymond, staring intently at Nindi.

But Nindi spoke again,

"Stop! I don't want to hear one more word from you. You better get out of here or I'll fire you right now!" shouted Raymond who was already unable to contain his anger.

Caramel clutched Raymond's arm and looked at him with pity by shaking his head so Raymond wouldn't fire Nindi.

Raymond looked into his wife's teary eyes and looked with pity at her. He could not bear to see his wife like that.

Raymond invites Caramel back into the restaurant leaving Nindi who still does not believe herself to be yelled at by Raymond.

"Darling, why are you still defending her? You should have let me fire him" said Raymond, who was sitting looking gently at his grieving wife's face.

"I have no intention of defending him. I just don't want to get back blamed because their senior waitress was fired because I was like the Gilang case back then, they blamed me when Gilang resigned from this place" Caramel replied with a forced smile.

"Aren't you hurt?" ask Raymond.

"Of course I'm hurt. Who wants to be humiliated like that? Good thing my husband believes in me, if not, I could be a widow just overnight" Caramel joked to quell her husband's anger.

Because Caramel knew that her husband would be angry and fired Nindi if Caramel could not persuade her.

"I trust you more, baby, I can't possibly trust anyone else who's vilifying you. You're my wife and I have to trust you no matter what," Raymond grabbed the back of Caramel's head and kissed her forehead.

Caramel's grief-stricken face changed with a flowery look of shyness due to the words of her husband.

Nindi shook her head and her breathing rose and fell with her nose that held back her anger at seeing Raymond and Caramel getting more friendly, even though she had tried to separate them.

With emotions and anger mounting, Nindi rounded up her intention to send the voice recording to the number of the most powerful person in her workplace.

Nindi pressed the send button on her phone screen, and she smiled cunningly after seeing her phone screen showing sent posts.
