18. The tickling pests

"Wah losing our start Nin," ledek Pak Anto who saw Nindi angrily staring towards the inside of the restaurant, precisely at the table containing Caramel, Chef Raymond, Zayn, and the owners of the companies they work for.

Nindi has not been able to get Chef Raymond, but with Zayn here, Nindi sometimes turns to tease Zayn. And now he saw two of his target men eating together with Caramel and the owner of the place. His heart was so filled with anger that it prepared to destroy Caramel.

After the meal, Daddy and Mommy Raymond toured briefly accompanied by Zayn. While Caramel finished his work back at the restaurant cashier table. Because it has not opened hours, so the atmosphere is still quiet there are no guests. Caramel immediately finished his work before Revan came, because later if Revan had come, he would have kept the cashier in the arena.

After being escorted around by Zayn, Mommy and Daddy Raymond say goodbye to Raymond to return to their home. Raymond could not drive them forward because he was cooking for a new menu that he was about to put out.

When they say goodbye to Caramel, they ask Caramel to take them to the front of the restaurant, and Caramel cannot refuse him because it is very rude to refuse the request of the owner where he works who is also his future father-in-law.

Mommy Grace took Caramel starting at the restaurant to the front of the restaurant. Afterwards Mommy Grace hugs Caramel and says to come to her house. Caramel just nodded and smiled.

The sight was not missed by his friends who were gossiping about him earlier when Caramel ate with Chef Raymond's family in the restaurant.

"Love, are you able to get the same out of them all?" ketus Nindi's.

"It's plain pretentious. You are an ordinary employee, why can you be invited to eat with the leader of this company?" ketus Nindi with a high voice.

"I was just invited by them. And it would be impolite to refuse their invitation," Caramel defended himself casually not to be provoked by his emotions.

"They won't know you if you don't get them" Nindi said in a high voice.

"It's up to you, I'm tired of it" Caramel turned his back on leaving the place so as not to ignite his emotions in the morning.

But Caramel's back hair was pulled firmly by Nindi so that Caramel's body staggered and fell.

Caramel was shocked, it happened so fast. He tried to neutralize his heartbeat when he fell on the floor with messy hair.

All the employees who were there just kept quiet and looked at it did not dare to help Caramel. Zayn, who is at the mini golf location, runs to help Caramel. Actually Zayn knew that Nindi had said something bad to Caramel, but he still wanted to see how far they had gone. They look like school kids bullying their friends.

Zayn helped Caramel stand up. It wasn't that Caramel was weak, but he still needed time to examine everything that had suddenly happened to him.

After Caramel regained consciousness and his back head hurt from Nindi's jubay, Caramel came forward and grabbed Nindi's hair to reply.

After a few seconds Nindi complained in pain, Caramel removed her hand from Nindi's hair. Everyone was shocked to see Caramel's bravery against Nindi. Because he does not usually fight others despite being scorned or insinuated. Caramel is usually just silent and crying, which is what makes them more like to torture him through their words. And what astonished them now was Caramel's recklessness against Nindi who was already like a chieftain among the female employees in that place.

Nindi is getting emotional, her hair that she always takes care of in expensive salons is now grabbed by her enemy, a Caramel who she thinks is nothing compared to her.

Zayn was just a spectator next to Caramel. He wants to know the real Caramel.

After replying to Nindi, Caramel immediately turned around to walk quickly towards the cashier table that was inside the restaurant. However, his journey was delayed again because Caramel was pulled back by his shirt so that half of his body was facing backward and slapped on Caramel's cheek violently by Nindi.

That was totally unexpected by Caramel. Two seconds later, Caramel regained consciousness as she felt extremely hot on her cheek because of Nindi's slap. Caramel tidied up her clothes, she neutralized her emotions and heartbeat and after that she quickly approached Nindi and slapped her cheeks.

The view was very satisfying for the employees who were there. They are very hysterical and provide support by calling their hero's name.

It wasn't Nindi that she just gave up. Now Nindi has returned a slap from Caramel. Nindi smirked in satisfaction at his victory.

Now Caramel is getting used to this. He did not let himself off guard and was shocked at Nindi's actions. After Caramel was slapped by Nindi back, Caramel immediately replied to her without giving time for Nindi to return to her original place.

Nindi glared in shock because Caramel was so brave to her. He did not accept being the laughingstock of his friends for losing to Caramel. So he intends to grab and slap them all, but Nindi's hand can only hang in the air. His hand was stopped by Zayn. And Zayn's gaze at her implied anger.

Nindi grew angrier when she saw Zayn staring with anger at her and defending Caramel more. Nindi rebelled, but her hand remained firmly held by Zayn.

Caramel was still in that place and suddenly there was a burly hand embracing her body. Caramel doesn't know who's protecting her. His face looked up and he found the face of the man who had filled his days and slowly the face was already residing in his heart.

Raymond stared cynically full of anger at Nindi whose hand was still held by Zayn.

"Look at what's going to happen to you" Raymond threatened, who then took Caramel away and walked into the restaurant.

Raymond brought Caramel into the office. Revan who just came and saw the messy Caramel made him to have Chef Raymond take care of him and Revan who was standing guard at the cashier.

Mr. Irfan who was inside the office was driven out by Raymond. Without much said Mr. Irfan went straight outside after being ordered by Raymond.

Flashbacks

Raymond who was still arranging for his cooking presentation was informed by the junior chef who had just come from the toilet. He saw the commotion between Nindi and Caramel. Actually, he did not dare to tell Chef Raymond for fear of being scolded for disturbing the concentration of his work. But he had more pity on seeing Caramel being treated like that by Nindi. So he tried in an exaggerated voice telling his friend about the incident. Chef Raymond, hearing this, ran to where Caramel was.

Raymond looked at Caramel with guilt. He felt himself failing to look after the girl he loved. Raymond placed his palm on Caramel's cheek which was slapped many times by Nindi. His eyes were implying sadness.

"Is this sick?" Raymond held carefully Caramel's cheeks which were flushed and slightly hot.

Caramel held Raymond's hand on her cheek and smiled and shook her head. He didn't want Chef Raymond to know the pain.

"You must be lying. This must be really painful. Just look at your cheeks until it's red, hot again. I won't let Nindi go this time" Raymond said with a vengeful eye.

"Don't. This is my problem with him. Let me handle it. I used to be quiet when they trampled on me, but now I don't want to budge anymore. Because they thought I was weak so they kept insulting me" Caramel said to reassure Raymond.

Raymond immediately hugged Caramel after he heard Caramel's words earlier. She did not expect that her Caramel was a strong girl, a girl who had not revealed herself all along.

I don't know if she's trying to be strong or really disguised as a weak girl all this time. Raymond doesn't care, all he knows is that this Caramel is going to keep him protected.

"Aaw... Chef hurts my cheek," Caramel complained of pain because his slapped cheek was stuck in Raymond's chest.

"Oh sorry, you wait here, let me get you a medicine box first," Raymond picked up the medicine box that was on the corner shelf in the office.

Enter Pak Sarno into the office. Seeing the state of Caramel like that Pak Sarno questioned him, but Caramel did not want to speak. He said that Pak Sarno first questioned all employees who were there as witnesses. After that Caramel wanted to tell him about the incident that he had experienced earlier.

Caramel does not want if he is judged to defend himself and ridicule others. Therefore Caramel had Pak Sarno ask the others first.

Raymond suggested that Mr. Sarno ask Zayn because he was there at the time of the incident. Although Raymond disliked Zayn if he was teasing Caramel, Raymond knew that Zayn, his cousin, was kind, and that they had a good, close relationship. It's just that I don't know why Zayn wanted to take Caramel away from him.

Raymond treated Caramel and he sent Caramel home. Actually Caramel refused, but Raymond insisted yes. And there was a debate among those who had not been lovers. Raymond finally relented because he did not want Caramel to be angry with him.

Mr. Irfan warned all of them not to seek trouble with Chef Raymond and Caramel. But he did not say the reason even though everything forced Mr. Irfan to tell the reason. Mr. Irfan did hide the status of Chef Raymond because he seemed reluctant to show his status, and Mr. Irfan also did not want to make any more mistakes that were bad for his career.

In the restaurant, Zayn who was at the cashier table with Revan was visited by Pak Sarno. Revan was questioned about Caramel's incident this morning and Zayn told him the story in order.

Pak Sarno and Revan let out a long sigh. They pity the Caramel who has always been the subject of their conversation.

The sky was already showing in the afternoon, and the return hour had arrived. Caramel exhaled heavily to leave her heavy burden in that place. Raymond grabbed Caramel's hand as he walked out of the office. Raymond sat him in the car and he took him to his parents' house.

"Whose house is Chef?" caramel asked puzzledly after Raymond's car entered the spacious courtyard of the high-fenced and luxurious mansion.

"Daddy's house is with Mommy" Raymond replied briefly.

"Why are we here, Chef?" ask Caramel back who hasn't gotten out of the car.

"Mommy told me to bring you here. Come down" replied Raymond.

Raymond opened his car door but Caramel was still sitting there motionless.

"You want to get your seatbelt out?" asked Raymond in a seductive tone.

"No need to kiss again" replied Caramel, unbending her seatbelt. But unfortunately the belt can not be removed. Caramel tried repeatedly to open it, but still the belt could not be opened.

"Say for a kiss" teased Chef Raymond as he approached Caramel and tried to unbuckle Caramel's seatbelt.

The seat belt was open, and...

Cup...

Raymond's lips landed on Caramel's lips.

"Sweet, sweet" said Raymond after a brief kiss on Caramel's lips.

Of course Caramel was angry and as usual his lips pursed making Raymond chuckle and pinch the advancing Carmel's lips with anxiety.

Raymond brought Caramel into the house with Caramel's hand.

But after they entered, there was a woman who ran towards Raymond and hugged him.

"Ray, I miss U so much" said the girl, hugging Raymond tightly.
