The Dans group walked in the high weed grass area. High enough that their sight was covered in weeds in front. When one looked over from above easily, it was Cloudia with her wind ability.

Originally, Cloudia had made sure that the grasslands they passed by were not too vast. They should have broken through within minutes. But until these few hours, they were still trapped inside the high weeds.

Amidst the journey in that lostness, Cloudia tried to fly upwards and observe the route they took. It seems normal to see it at a glance. They were in the middle of a stretch of weeds, and walking straight should have taken them outside.

But when Cloudia turned her eyes to the edge of the field, then she looked back at the group of Dans, she did not meet them. Diving back into the thick weeds, he was alone and separated from the group.

The same goes for the five people in Dans' group who are left. They looked up at the sky, waiting for Cloudia to return from her observation. It shouldn't be long, but a dozen minutes they waited, Cloudia never returned.

Dans took a swing. Then he jumped into the sky up to several meters from the ground. Up there, he scanned the surroundings, but he did not find any existence of Cloudia in the sky.

Right after saying that, then he realized he was only alone in the sea of weeds. Around it was tall grass. Suzuka, Dayat, Udin, and Tiana, the four of them were not where they should be. This left Dans confused and wondering in his mind.

Elsewhere, the four of them waited for Dans to come down. But even after the supposed time, there was still no sign of Dans that he was about to land.

“Initially Cloudia, and now Dans. What really happened?” chirps Dayat.

“This place is not normal,” said Udin.

“All also know about it,” timpal Tiana.

“You should not be separated,” said Suzuka. Seriously he said, “This place is not normal.”

But even so, only a few meters did they walk together, each of them separated one after another. High pushers who close their eyes do not let them always pay attention to friends and at that time they are separated.

Not just the three of them. Dans also Cloudia who had separated earlier could listen to Suzuka's voice.

“Halo~ Halo~” says Cloudia in the distance.

In his memories for thousands of years, there were indeed cases where people disappeared while walking through the forest. It also happens when passing in other large areas. But in the weeds that should not be too broad, there is absolutely nothing in the database about this incident.

“You all! We'll jump together! We make sure each position!” said Suzuka.

“Iya!” answer others.

Suzuka gave a cue and they all jumped in accordance with her. Original and visible, their position is not too far from each other. Just a few meters. But when they try to jump a second time, the position of each of them is getting away. And the position is getting away every try.

“No use,” murmur Cloudia, “I'll cut these grasses!”

Cloudia swung her hand and created a blade of wind. The blades of wind swept the weeds and cut them. But before long, the grasses there regenerated and grew rapidly then closed the scene again.

At Dans' place, the atmosphere became increasingly quiet and serene after all his comrades were separated from him. He sighed, then closed his eyes. He used his high perception ability to try to sense other existences.

Previously, when they ascertained each other's position by jumping, it was seen that their position was getting farther away. But when Dans used his perception ability, the movements of his comrades felt normal. Their position is right settled in place. There was nothing strange about their movements either.

But there's a problem. He felt the movement of several figures other than his comrades. For they are like animals with intelligence above them. Just as Dans and his comrades were doing, these figures were also moving here and there trying to get out of this place. Their movements are aggressive. And when they get to a certain point that is quite far away, their existence disappears and reappears to another point. To a point deep within the weeds, far from the edge side.

"Be careful! There's an unknown enemy!" snapped it.

If the previous one was a rabbit, then now it is a wolf. The black figures walked combing the tall weeds and its existence could be felt by Dans. Now bad, one of the wolves approached him. Dans focused his attention on the weeds where the wolf would appear.

A black wolf figure appeared before Dans.

His entire body was black as a shadow. Both of his eyes were bright red. He was indeed similar to the monsters that Dans and his friend had fought in the previous villages.

“Fight without weapons. Really sucks!”

Dans used reinforcement magic. He clenched his hands together and took a brisk stance to fight.

Not only Dans who met the shadow creature. All his friends were in more or less the same condition. One by one the black wolves appeared before them and required them to fight.

They are similar, but these creatures are different. They were stronger, faster, and ferocious compared to the black rabbits they had fought before. But instead, they did not possess any regeneration ability. Those who did not have a gift like Dans though could defeat them.

However, it was not a smooth fight. The fighting ability of these aggressive wolves was able to corner them. Especially if they get in groups. So it's very troublesome to fight them.
