Extermination of Phoenix

It was beyond estimation when the Phoenix turned out to be not a bird, but a golem. They fought to defeat the golems living at the top of the mountain. Zen and his comrades rode the airboard while the golem spouted fireballs that incarnated into fire birds. The attack from the golems was not too difficult to overcome, but their attack was also not too impactful. The defense of the golems was too strong for them to destroy.

*clank!*

Zen was approaching the Phoenix Golem. Shaking both of his swords simultaneously, he did not inflict any injuries at all. Instead his sword shook from the impact. "Bother," he whispered as he saw his attack as completely useless. Next he immediately floated using the airboard before the golem attack hit him.

*crt!* *bzrt!*

Sekar threw an attack with a flow of electricity. His attack crept all over the golem's body. Too bad it didn't have any impact. His attack left no marks at all. Just scourging the entire golem body.

*trank!*

Prince Albert holds his sword with both hands. He raised his sword above his head and slashed down. His attack targeted the golem's wrist. Unfortunately, just like the others, there were no scars there. Instead, he had to face the golem counter-attack that shook his hand. He could fall. Lucky Zen darted quickly and caught it.

"You're okay."

"I'm sorry, I fell down."

On the other hand, Meta uses light cube on golem legs. There was absolutely no damage, but when he pulled it, the Golem lost its balance. He fell down, rolled on the mountainside, and finally fell on his stomach at the foot of the mountain. Some parts of his body were submerged in the lava flow, but they had no impact at all. The nature on this island seemed to not affect him, instead he cast a large trail along the volcano.

"Good job" Zen told Meta. "Although I doubt whether it impacts."

"If muji don't half-why, anyway?"

Slowly, the big golem got up. The dark-colored stone body stood upright with a very sturdy form. He looked at Zen and comrades as they approached. Then he began the attack with a blaze of firebirds chasing after the four of them. Not just one or two, he was constantly spewing out flames.

Fire birds are not difficult for them. Meta only needed to widen his light cube to cover the four of them and make all the sides solid. The rest was an explosion that was nothing to care about. The Golem's hand grip might be strong, but it couldn't hook those in the sky. Well, now was the time to think of a powerful attack to finish him off.

"Do you have any ideas?" ask Zen.

"Rench, I can't think about it." Prince Albert raised his hand and answered quickly. "The size of the golem will make it difficult for him to get off the island. When it gets into the water, it will sink forever at the possibility of falling into the trough. Just retreat. We don't have to beat him anyway."

Just be quiet. He turned his face when Zen looked at him. His attitude was still quite indifferent to Zen. Presumably he harbored a grudge against Zen who had taken him by force. Luckily Meta and Albert can be good friends to him. If not for that, he would have fought Zen to the point of the final blood.

"I think we can use large-scale magic" Meta said.

"Es, I was thinking of freezing him inside the light cube. I don't guarantee that he will lose in one attack, but it's better than nothing. But I need some time to gather. As long as the light cube cannot be used. We'll be vulnerable."

"It's as if the three of us are useless" Zen chirped. "I will move forward to distract him. You, Albert, replace me when there's trouble. Then Sekar, keep quiet next to Meta. Keep an eye out for any attacks leading up to you. Understood?"

"Hold a monster that big…." Prince Albert wanted to complain. He smelled the stench of his death if he was hit by a direct attack. One or two might be possible, but what if it was attacked in a row?

"What's? You refuse?" Zen's eyes looked sharply at him. "We're not here to do democracy. And the title of Prince you have is worth nothing here. Do you want me to make up excuses if you sacrifice yourself to save us?"

"No, no, no, where might I do it."

"Okay, then there's no objection." Zen walked towards Phoenix. Both of his hands were clasping the sword tighter with each step. His eyes only focused on the creature before him. "I'm starting!"

*Ssshhh!*

With the sound of the air hissing softly, Zen was suddenly already near the huge body of the Phoenix Golem. He drew his sword together, flowed mana into it, and created both sword blades to glow yellow. "Swar Whirl!" Flicking the name of the nurse, he made the attacks of golden yellow blades shoot out. Each blade landed on the body of the golem. They did not hurt him, but this attack left Phoenix fixated on Zen.

*bombs!*

One huge punch from the Phoenix's arm landed where Zen stood. The teenager was no longer there. He jumped into the sky with both swords crossed with each other. Now his body fell. He was free-falling the huge golem below him. "Twin Strike!" The attack hit the neck of the golem, but did not have any impact at all.

"Well, yeah, he's really strong. His sword slash could split the iron if he was serious. It was a pity that his enemy's defense this time was too high. An individual is indeed limited in strength, huh?" Meta monologue.

"What do you mean?" sahut Sekar's.

"I mean, count on your friend more if you're in trouble. We were not created to live alone" added Meta with a sweet smile that he showed Sekar.

Meta began to get ready for the great magic that he was going to do. The light cube that had previously been a protective room for them disappeared. Meta sets the size of the light cube as large as he can. The bigger and the bigger. The size of his ribs equaled half of a football field, but Meta continued to increase in size until it matched the Phoenix Golem. It was only after that that that he moved the light cube for the Phoenix to be inside. Zen was inside at the time of the incident. However it still has not been a problem as long as the magic has not been activated. It is like being in a dry river that will be filled with water when the rain is coming.

"Yep, yep, the bigger the size, the harder it is to control. But enough for the size of the Phoenix."

The next step was to create ice magic on the entire contents of the light cube. Less suitable also when called ice, more appropriate if lowering the temperature. The Meta plan is to destroy objects using very extreme temperature changes. Whether or not it can destroy it, this is a gamble. Sure, they could have left. Airboard can always be used at any time. They don't have to beat the Phoenix. Seeing a Phoenix that is not a bird alone can be proof that the legend that the immortal Phoenix is wrong.

The most crucial part was when Meta cast a spell. Rapalan itself is like doing the preparation of programs in computer programming. The duration of the practice goes in a straight line with how complicated the magic is and which one is consumed. The complexity of magic is influenced by models or magic effects. In the case of Meta, the magic model is quite simple, that is, the temperature drop. However, the coverage of the area is wide which makes the consumption of mana increases rapidly. This requires additional time to pour mana. This is where Zen and Albert take turns to buy time. One tired and the other replaced. Keep it that way until the Meta chant is complete.
