Ballad Inmates (Part 27)

WHEN I returned to the room, there was Gustav talking to Edi and Iyos.

“Babe here. There's something we want to talk about,” said Edi, the head of the room.

I approached. Joins. We sat in a circle.

“Gustav says tonight there are three new prisoners. Two drug cases, another curanmor. The guard asked that the curanmor case come in here. What is our attitude?” edi said, explaining his conversation with Gustav.

“We have agreed, do not want to accept prisoners curanmor, yes consistent aja,” said I. Runaway.

“The question is, this room is the one that now contains the least, bang. Others average over 15 roommates,” says Gustav.

“Try Babe break up, I'm the same Iyos come,” said Edi. Resignedly.

“So gini, in this room there are already prisoners curanmor, the Aryan. Don't add any more. The exit, transfer prisoners from the other room here. Who just entered, will fill the abandoned room. Kan klop,” I said. Find solution.

“Well, that's fine. I'll take you to the guard. There are other criteria, bang?” gustav said while looking at me.

“That would pray. If not praying, we are gebukin,” by Edi. Assertively. Gustav laughed with a thumbs up, and walked out of the room.

There was the sound of the Jum’at prayer adhan from the mosque beside the mapolres. Even the activities were stopped. All the prisoners went back into their own cells.

I wudhu and sit on the prayer mat. Intention to listen to sermons from mosque loudspeakers.

In the detention room complex entrusted mapolres there is no mosque. And it is not allowed to do Jum’at congregation prayer for the prisoners.

Edi admitted, once together with all the heads of rooms in the detention room complex submitted a letter of application to be able to pray Jum’at congregation. But not responded.

After the prayer of Dhuhur congregated, I collapsed my body. Trying to take a nap. The body is also a bit jovial. Not to mention closing your eyes, suddenly a noise was heard outside the room.

All the room residents rushed to the iron bars. Wanna know what's going on. I just looked at them from my place while remaining.

“Astaghfirullah. astaghfirullah,” said Joko repeatedly, as her eyes continued to look towards the rowdy voice.

I heard screams of pain. Shouts for mercy. Along with the sound of kicks and punches. Thumped-thumped.

“What's up?” my many.

“There are more thumped,” Joko said, short.

“Do not know who or why? But usually if this officer is a thuggish, must be an immoral case,” said Joko.

As it turns out, unpleasant experiences often make someone so easy to lose control and take it for granted. No matter if his expression of anger was misdirected or not.

Not long after, the noise stopped. There was a shout from the guard post: “all prisoners back to their places, no one standing near the bars.”

Spontaneous Joko and co return to his place. They understand, if the officer's shout was an order and will definitely be monitored. If you do not comply, you will be penalized.

Justright. A few minutes later, a guard walked around. Check each room and its occupants.

Right in front of our room, the officer stopped. His eyes looked at us one by one. With a signal, he asked Edi for a cigarette.

“I pesen same you all yes. After the punishment, do and say the truth. Because God must protect honest people,” said the officer while smoking cigarettes given Edi.

We all nodded our heads. Disarm what he said.

“And one more, live the punishment with pleasure. Only with that, God will love a better chance of life in the next day,” continued the guard.

Back we all nodded our heads. Appreciate what he says.

“Oh yes, here there is no Asusila case?” ask him later.

Simultaneously, all of us in the room shook our heads.

“Thank God it was. So it does not make me add sin because I want to bring people again,” he said.

We're all stunned. Bummer. Not all of us know if this officer who was venting his anger by persecuting one of the prisoners who was wrapped in an sacrilegious case.

“Sorry if I made a noise? I must be out of control if I meet the person who got the sacrilegious case,” continued the officer. Occasionally smoking a cigarette in his hand.

His hands are still shaking. Indicates there is still an explosion of anger stored in his soul.

We all just kept quiet. Keep looking at the guard standing near the iron bars in his bow style.

“I have my own trauma if I meet someone asusila case. My biological sister was once a victim of immoral behavior. And out of shame, he committed suicide. Since then, when I met the prisoner of immoral case, I became a fidelity,” the officer parse traumatiknya.

Surprised all of us by the watchman's honest confession. Make our mouths shut.

“Yes, that's it. All of you, take care of your health. Thanks for the cigarette Edi,” continued the guard and left. Casually. As if nothing ever happened (connecting)
