The fire burned down the entire orphanage building made of wood.
Faelan was crying incessantly. He's holding onto a dying Reg.
“Fae” Reg said while groaning in pain, “My time is not much. Go then! At least you can still survive if you leave now!”
“No dad! I won't leave you!” Faelan held onto Reg's chest which kept bleeding.
When Reg coughed due to the blood filling his throat, the wound opened.
Reg's fresh blood splashed onto Faelan's face.
Faelan seemed to be getting more worried. Breath snorted.
Faelan ripped off her shabby shirt. “No! Nah! Dad can't die! It's not as bad as it looks. It's gonna heal. I just take my dad to the doctor. The soldiers will leave soon. Yep! They must think we're dead by now. For a while I will wrap up with this”. Faelan now bandages Reg's wounds with a tear of his shirt.
“Fae!”
“Calm down, Dad. Hold on a little longer. I will definitely save you”
“Fae!”
Faelan looked out of his room that had been collapsed by the fire. “Look, Dad! They're already leaving. Wait out! I'll take you soon. Then once you've recovered we'll cook the radish again. Nah! Let me cook it for you. Dad may not know, I'm actually good at me..”
“FAELAN!” Reg raised his voice to resuscitate Faelan who constantly muttered.
Faelan. Now he saw clearly Reg's face that began to turn pale. The light in his eyes was almost gone.
“Listen to me, my son” Reg rubbed Faelan's face. “They won't go. Once they know that your pendant is a relic that could threaten the kingdom, they will make sure you die here. Even when that happens, they'll stab your body many times to make sure you're really dead. I am close to my death. The only one who can protect your fate now is yourself. Go then! Then live it well!”
“No dad! Don't say it like that! I don't want to live alone. I'm scared, Dad!” Faelan whines helplessly.
“I'm sorry dad, son. You should have gotten a better family. I can imagine your handsome face that would fit perfectly into the fancy outfit” Reg is now smiling. It was clear that his face was withstanding the pain. “You've been endowed with holy relics. You have to make sure there are no more children in this world who lost their father like you!”, with all their lives left, Reg looked at his adopted son with keen eyes of hope, “Faelan Zephyr! Go!”
Reg then breathed his last breath.
Reg's words get into Faelan's heart.
A blazing wooden beam falls in front of Reg's body.
Faelan regulates the breath. He had to swallow the pain in his heart. He must immediately convert the tragedy he experienced into motivation.
Faelan wiped the tears with her hands. Soon her cheeks became red from Reg's blood.
“Good way, Dad. I'll make sure I meet your expectations!” Faelan then broke through the flames, running towards the dangerous Darkwood Forest forest.
***
Faelan ran down the path in the middle of the dark Darkwood Forest forest. The pendant on his neck shone and pulled his body, as if it was directing him towards somewhere behind the dense darkness of the forest.
Then suddenly a dark magic energy shot out from behind.
The pendant pulled Faelan to the side very hard.
Faelan was spared from the fatal attack that led to the back of his head.
Faelan facing backwards.
There were dozens of torch flames approaching quickly.
Horses and shouts ‘by kingdom Shadowvale’ break the cold forest.
Faelan then forced his legs to run as fast as possible.
There were so many fire arrows shooting out from behind.
The pendant-assisted faelan managed to dodge every arrow that rained down on him.
Then a huge explosion of black magic energy split the tall trees on both sides of the path. Darted rapidly towards Faelan's frail body.
The shield was able to dispel black magic. But not with Faelan's body.
Faelan bounced and fell smashing into the bushes that had turned into arid.
“YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO RUN ANYWHERE, LITTLE MOUSE!” frederick shouted from behind.
Faelan got up with all her might, trying to run away again.
But, a black magic larger than before hit him again.
Faelan again bounced.
Faelan got up again.
Black magic was like it did not give a pause. Faelan was hit three times in a row. Even four, though,
five, six, seven, and I don't know how many more black magic hit him.
Faelan is now stuck in a curve of the ground that looks more and more landslide into each time the black magic hit him.
The magic shield of Faelan looks starting to crack.
“Hahaha. Look at this little mouse” Frederick down from his horse.
Frederick then stuck his greatsword in the middle of the blue magic shield.
Frederdick's sword pierced through Faelan's shield.
His blade until it scratches Faelan's cheek.
Then a powerful black energy burst out from the tip of Frederick's sword, making the exact Faelan shatter into pieces.
Frederick laughs wickedly, “Hahahaha. Is this the child he said he foretold?”
Fredrick stuck his sword at Faelan's feet very cruelly.
“Arrrrrrgh!” Faelan shouted in pain.
“Hei warrior! It seems like the king of Shadowvale is overestimating too much about the prophecy!” shouted Frederick. His voice echoed and shook the trees.
The soldiers laughed out loud.
Frederick then pressed his sword even harder.
Again Faelan groaned and cried out in frustration.
Frederick pulled out his sword and clasped Faelan's collar. With one hand, he lifted Faelan's body up high, as if it was just a small squat of light dried bark.
“Praise about a child who will restore order to the world, huh?” Frederick looked scornful.
Frederick then snatched the blue pendant, and stuck his sword in Faelan's stomach until it penetrated to the back of his back.
Faelan's body was now limp, he was half conscious. Even to scream, he couldn't.
Fresh blood seeped through Frederick's sword and hand.
“I will be known for my services. Faelan! Your legend will end even when the story has not yet begun. And you won't be able to bury that old bastard Reg properly. Give my regards to him!” Frederick was getting ready to push his sword up to split the poor Faelan's body.
In the remnants of consciousness, Faelan saw his pendant emit a very bright blue light, mixed with a black flash.
The light expanded very quickly and then shot up into the dark night sky. Forming a dazzling glint and a powerful whirlwind. The clouds around him were spinning violently. Now the cloud is fed by a lightning storm that hit the earth. Faelan was in the middle of that vortex.
Frederick and his army collapsed.
At the end of his consciousness, Faelan saw a human figure with a dark blue hood grabbing and carrying him. It was a beautiful pale white woman. It was like talking something. But, Faelan who had begun to lose consciousness could not hear anything. Before Faelan had completely fainted he could only notice the female ears popping out when her hood was hit by a storm, and it did not look like the ears of a human.
