The Retaliation of the Dragon: Rise Of The Unbroken

The Retaliation of the Dragon: Rise Of The Unbroken
The Orphan Named Faelan

Frostwood was once a quiet village located on the outskirts of a enchanting forest called the Darkwood Forest. The village is one of the many villages on the continent that are stunning and colorful and filled with mystical wonders, where majestic creatures roam freely, he said, and ancient secrets echoed through the rustling leaves. The beauty of nature is seen in every corner, from the glittering light of the magical flora to the crystal clear water flowing through the village. However, all that changed since the chaos that occurred due to the invasion of the Shadowvale Kingdom alliance.

The Shadowvale Kingdom has brought terror to all corners of the continent resulting in various tensions between races and tribes, even between humans and various mythological creatures. Even the once peaceful Darkwood Forest forest had now turned gripping and dangerous. The mystical creatures that previously lived side by side with humans now seem to be hostile to the locals. After the death of Cedric Blake as Frostwood Village Head, his position was continued by his son named Frederick Blake who was arrogant. He chose to enter into the alliance of the Shadowvale Kingdom which only provided convenience for the village lord, but not for its inhabitants. Residents living in squalor are forced to pay high taxes. Otherwise, they would be sold in a slave market run by the central Kingdom. In the midst of all that chaos, a boy named Faelan appeared. She has dull brown hair that always looks tangled and brown eyes filled with anxiety. Every day, Faelan wore shabby clothes that always looked small on her thin body.

Since she was an infant, Faelan was found abandoned at the door of a local orphanage. It was not a cathedral that welcomed him, but the modest home of his adoptive father named Reg, the owner of a very loving orphanage. Under the silver moonlight that illuminated Frostwood, the infant Faelan was found crying while hugging the pendant as well as a piece of paper that read 'The name of this child is Faelan'. Reg welcomed the brown-eyed baby with pleasure.

Every day, Faelan and her foster father, live their simple lives diligently. In shortcomings, they learn to live with what they have. Early in the morning, Faelan and Reg went to the outskirts of Darkwood Forest to find firewood that they would use to heat their home. They walked together through the mysterious forest, under thick foliage and through the quietly flowing water sources. Although they lived within their limitations, Faelan was a devoted child and always faithfully helped his adoptive father in every way.

In the middle of this humble village, Faelan learns a lot about the values of life, humility, and gratitude. Although he never had much wealth, he had wealth in the form of kindness and determination to become a good person. They are two souls who support each other, living simply, but full of love and happiness.

Time passed at Frostwood, and with age, Reg grew weaker and often sickly. The growing faelan watched the change with a heavy heart. He knew that he had to start self-study, including going out to find firewood alone. Despite being worried for her foster father, Faelan continued her duties with a strong determination.

However, it was in times like these that bully towards Faelan began. Some of the youths from the less than kindhearted village saw the opportunity to drop him. They made fun of him for having to do a job that shouldn't be a burden on a child his age. Sometimes, they even dared to ambush Faelan when he was alone in the dark forest, stripping him naked and washing his logs into the rushing river. Little Faelan could only cry. The leader of the gang of bullies was named Roderick, the son of the Village Chief.

Roderick always boasted of the story that he was a descendant of the barons who mastered the art of sword magic in his family. However, in reality, Roderick did not have that ability. Only with a magic sword given by his father, Frederick, did he always pretend to be a witch. Faelan, unfortunately, has always been a target for Roderick. Faelan will be stripped and held by Roderick's men. Every time Roderick failed, he would get angry, blame Faelan, then slap him. Faelan continuously received such physical and emotional torture every day on the sidelines of collecting firewood.

"Just look if you report this to the dying old Reg. If you dare to do it, I'll cut your dirty face" Roderick said.

Although Faelan's heart was full of fortitude, the pain of their harsh words and treatment had never been so easy to deal with. Faelan once tried to report Roderick's cruel behavior to his adoptive father. He hopes Reg can provide advice or protection. However, Reg simply pleaded for Faelan to be patient and not to bother him further. He talked about the importance of maintaining peace in their village and tried to calm Faelan down.

Then one afternoon. It was almost afternoon. In a dark forest surrounded by towering trees, Roderick and his gang besiege Faelan. The 3 immortal moons had already begun to appear illuminating the atmosphere, creating terrifying shadows among the mysterious trees. Roderick held his magic sword proudly, He pretended to be holding back the magic that was emitting a faint blue light.

"It's time for your exams again, Faelan," Roderick said in a condescending tone. "You think you can be a real witch with your lousy abilities, huh?"

Roderick gave a small branch to Faelan.

Faelan, with eyes full of fear, stood between Roderick and his friend who prepared with a cruel expression. "Please, Roderick, I don't want to fight you. I just want to live in peace."

Roderick laughed with a tone full of scorn. "peacefully? I am the witch. You're not a witch, Faelan. You are just trash. Now quickly fight me!"

Faelan won't fight.

Roderick's upset. "Or do you want me to fight with Old Reg. Tomorrow is my magic test. If I can't cast magic, then I just need to make it look like I'm giving out my magic power"

Roderick's plot laughed.

Faelan now realized, it turns out they brought lighters and Napalm oil that is very flammable. Faelan looked at him tremblingly.

"Oh come on, don't cry like that" Roderick said, "We're friends, right? Friends should help each other. I won't burn you either. I just need to burn a little bit of your hair and shabby clothes that are already that small" he continued.

Roderick and his flock looked at each other and nodded at each other.

"Would I just ask that old Reg please, huh?" Roderick.

"DON'T!" peek Faelan, "Let me" he continued.

Faelan's eyes shook. His whole body shook. To the extent that he was unaware the pendant on his chest was now starting to react.

In a state of panic, Faelan swung his magic sword awkwardly, trying to repel Roderick's attack. However, Roderick easily avoided it, while ridiculing, "Look, he can't even control his own sword. Haha"

Now Roderick is starting to execute his plan. He lubricated his sword with Napalm oil and burned it.

Roderick's flock then smeared Faelan's clothes and hair with the same oil.

"Well! Now let's start the main event. Prepare Faelan! The great fire witch will give you an honorable death" Roderick said proudly.

Faelan was getting scared.

The pendant on Faelan's chest shook violently.

Roderick swung his fire sword.

Desperately Faelan tried to stall her with a dry twig in her thin hands.

Then, at once the wooden branch let out a mighty blue fire.

Roderick bounced. The sword he was holding burned violently and broke.

Roderick tried to put out the blue flames that were burning all over his body.

Then, suddenly Faelan's pendant let out a blue light wave that was bending the oil

Napalm is in Faelan's body.

The waves also extinguished the flames on Roderick's sword and body.

Roderick and his flock ran away, leaving Faelan still shocked and confused by what happened.
