"As you wish?" Ye Qingtang sneered, as a grin played on his lips. “Ye Xun is just an adopted son and never in a position to interfere in our family affairs. So, what gives you the right to interfere just by relating to him?”

Ye Qingtang did not think of Ye Xun's dignity and revealed her small role in the Ye Household, even though she was recognized as one of the young women.

Color drained from Ye Xun's face in an instant, before he clenched his fists silently.

“Or is the Duan Household trying to expand its influence? Disturbing our affairs in an attempt to impose your dominance over the other noble houses? ” Ye Qingtang gave the Elders a cold look as he voiced his accusations in a tone that could make others cold.

The faces of the Elders were clouded when they heard his statement.

They were invited on the orders of the Great Elder to deal with the Second Elder and had no ulterior motives. But Ye Qingtang's incitement might trigger a clash between them and the other noble families if the rumors spread.
