Ye Qingtang and Si Bai glanced at each other before they entered the main hall in the next moment.
Other than Old Master Si, there was another man with a large stature and a dashing look that was very similar to Si Bai, even though he looked more mature and powerful.
"Buddy?" Si Bai was a little surprised by the presence of the man.
The man was the oldest young master of the Si household and Si Bai's eldest brother, Si Ye.
"You're back." Si Ye gave a small nod as he greeted Si Bai.
“Sister, when are you back? I've heard you talk about someone's care…. Where is Si Qiong?” Bai became serious. The younger generation of their family consisted only of those three brothers. Si Bai, as the youngest and suffering from a weak condition from birth, was showered with love from his eldest brother, Si Ye, and his older brother, Si Qiong. As such, the relationship of the brothers was certainly friendly.
As soon as he asked about Si Qiong, Si Ye's expression turned serious. He did not directly answer Si Bai but instead looked towards Old Master Si.
Old Master Si sighed and said: “Si Qiong has been injured by Ifrit and poisoned by his fire poison. Dr. Xu is dealing with his injuries at the moment.”
Ifrit's fire poison is known to be deadly. This can cause exothermic effects on vital organs. Dousing that effect with regular drugs proved ineffective. The death rate was nearly nine out of ten, where victims had to actually suffer the burning pain until their exertion was exhausted.
The only known cure at this time was to consume lotus ice, which can only be found growing in the Yucang mountains.
The Yucang Mountains were a long way from Lin City. A round trip will most likely take at least a month. When time is critical, bringing an ice lotus all the way from the mountains will not be a viable solution.

The Fire Suppressing Pill, as the name implies, was able to delay the effects of the Fire Poison, which in turn would buy enough time for the ice lotus retrieval.

Si Ye turned his attention towards the voice and finally noticed the girl standing next to Si Bai.
