Chapter 54: Private Investigator: Hanchuan

Lee is in his office room which stands majestically in the business center of Hong Kong. He was alone in his personal glass room. This is one of his business offices in the property sector. The greatest effort he had from the many efforts he took.

Lee has received numerous emails from the personal lawyer of his late wife, Heise. He did not reply to one of those emails. Not that he did not care, but with the money, Lee let his lawyer investigate everything completely. He just took it right. In his hands he still holds the photos that someone threatened him. The threat letter was typed by the sender using a computer. Lee is still sitting at his desk. He has paid a private investigator in Hong Kong to investigate who the terror who threatened him. He believes it was the man who killed his wife. Lee himself asked for confidentiality from the investigators he sent directly from Hong Kong. Not even anyone knows about this. His personal lawyer did not know about the matter. He wants to take the case himself. He did not want his great reputation as one of the millionaires ruined.

The phone on his desk rings. Lee saw. His private investigator contacted him.

"Hello...Yeah, Han?", Lee told someone who called him. Hanchuan is the name of the private investigator he sent.

"I've found someone you asked for. I'm sure this is the man who terrorized you and your late wife. I've been looking into all this guy's personal data. He's still pure. There's no record of crimes being policed here. But there is some corroborating evidence. I'll send all the documents today to you, Bos. Maybe in 24 hours it will reach your desk" Hanchuan told Lee. Han knows the reputation of this man in Hong Kong. He's not just anyone. Someone who is royal to the person he trusts. Han himself is not a bastard who thirsts to memorize his client for a job given to him. He is a private investigator who has credibility among him. It is not a publicly known figure. But he is known to have a reputation and credibility among investigators in Hong Kong. Hanchuan is a person with a background in law. He pioneered his career in Hong Kong police as an intelligence and an investigator who can read a person's character from handwriting and facial mimicry. He worked in it for almost 20 years. He received several awards while working in the Hong Kong police department. But Hanchuan was an independent idealist. He opted out of the Hong Kong police force, which he saw as many money-hungry licking police. He chose to open a private investigator's own office that is not large. Just a room measuring 2x3 meters not far from where he lived. He works alone.

Hanchuan has gained several clients over the years. Extensive networking when he handled cases in the police first, became one of the ways that brought him together with the clients who drove him so far. No exception Mr Lee Chan. He knew the man as a businessman who had many large businesses in Hong Kong and was known to the public. From there Lee also knew Hanchuan as a dedicated police officer with a myriad of abilities and achievements in his field.

"Well, Mr. Lee.", said Han briefly in a calm and thoughtful tone.

Han is in a luxury apartment in the center of the capital's business. Close to him everywhere. Public transportation access is pretty good. Although air pollution and motor vehicle noise are much worse than in the city where he lives in Hong Kong. But for him it is not much different from where he came from.

He was tidying up the documents he was going to send to Lee and rushed out of his apartment. Battling the noise and smog of vehicles plus the scorching hot weather adds its own burden to this man. For him, professionalism is number one.
