The Long Night of Amelia

The Long Night of Amelia
Chapter 37: The Personal Lawyer

A 35-year-old man wearing a shirt with a suit entered a bank. The typical dapper appearance of a lawyer. His skin looked brown with a firm and calm face.

Banks are so crowded by noon. The guy doesn't need a queue. He was one of the special clients at the bank.

"Excuse me mbak, I want to take care of the debt debt debtor on behalf of Mrs Rumayyah", said the file man.

"You have the power of attorney?", asked the bank employee back.

"This.all the necessary files are in this map.but, for the death certificate, I have not obtained from the police. And. Here's newspaper footage of the victim's death" the man replied.

"Hmm.actually in the management requirements for deceased debtors must attach a death certificate. But, because here the victim died unnaturally, I mean because of the murder, I do not know the procedure, Pak...I briefly asked my supervisor first", the bank official explained.

"Alright.I wait", replied the man in the suit back. Before long the bank clerk entered a room behind him. He was in it long enough. Then a 40-year-old man came out of the room.

"With Mr Jayadiningrat ? Come with me, sir.we talk inside.", said the man back. The man in the suit was a mangosteen and followed the man. He entered a special room. Mr. Wirandi. That's the name of the bank manager according to the name tag he wore on his shirt.

"Look, Mr. Wirandi regarding your request to take care of the debt debt problem on behalf of Mrs Rumayyah, the file you submitted is almost complete. Only the bank still has to accept a copy of Mrs Rumayyah's death certificate as well as information from the police. However, because Mr. Jayadiningrat is a personal lawyer appointed by Mrs Rumayyah to take care of all her needs if she dies,so for now we will show proof of transactions and loans owned by him", said Mr. Wirandi to a man who turned out to be a lawyer from Rumayyah.

Wirandi then contacted through an extension of his room asking for all files related to his customers, named Rumayyah. Until shortly afterwards a hijab-wearing woman knocked and entered her room. Submit the file requested by his superior.

Wirandi opened the map.

The lawyer read in detail all the files in front of him. It's mangosteen.

"May I request a copy of this entire file ? To take care of all other customer needs, such as tax issues and possibly other financial problems of immovable assets in the restaurant business.", said the Lawyer back to Wirandi.

"All right.I'll copy it. And sorry, may I request your Original ID and proof of the original will as our procedural?", Wirandi said again. The lawyer also handed over the original will where there is a signature stamped and thumbprint Rumayyah as the owner of the Tiam restaurant.

Wirandi came out of his room. Long enough he came out. About 20 minutes. Then he went back into his room.

"Sorry has made you wait a long time, you can fill this form..as our administrative for the retrieval of confidential files from customers.", Wirandi said back to Jayadiningrat. The lawyer also filled out the form given.it took 10 minutes more for him to fill out the form given and already about 2 hours Jayadiningrat was in the bank. Just to get his client files in the bank.

He also left the bank. His work and duties have not yet been completed. He still has to deal with the tax office and other tubs and to the police to take care of the murder certificate and death certificate issued from a special hospital owned by the police.

He walked out of the bank. It's almost 4 p.m. Managing the issue of accounts payable with the bank is not an easy matter. There are many procedures to go through.

Jayadiningrat to the parking lot. Not with the driver. That day he drove his own Fortuner.
