Knight Of Pensylon: Rise Of The Cavalier

Knight Of Pensylon: Rise Of The Cavalier
Chapter 6 - The Horse Car

*PoV: Christopher*

"Kristoff.." call me Norman.

It was so hard to see with just one eye, I really had to start getting used to it.

"Yes?" sahutku.

"How's your wound?" victoria asked, her eyes red. She must have been crying. Norman, what did you just do to this woman?

"Bad." I replied slowly.

The answer made Victoria move from her seat, as did Norman. They both approached me.

"What's that worse, Christopher?!" Victoria's anxious.

I answered them while bowing my head...

"I've lost sight of my left eye, and this cut on my forehead will be a permanent wound."

"Jeez.." said Victoria.

"Yes, it's terrible. So..."

I pointed at the surprised Norman and took a few steps back from me.

"You have to take responsibility from now on, Norman! Just remember that this was all your idea, because it was your idea that I became like this!" my sentakku.

Norman's down. His mouth was tightly closed, his countenance looked solemn. Very contrary to Norman who is usually relaxed not playing.

"So, you have to stay here to take care of the cuts on my face and teach me how to look with one" I shouted.

"Kristoff" he said.

"What?!"

Norman, who was initially down, raised his head and brought it closer to my eyes.

"You know I'm aware of your lies, don't you?"

"Huh? A lie? Trying from? My eyes lost their vision, and my wounds"

GREB!

Norman pulled the bandage that closed my left eye. It is not completely open, but it can clearly show that my left eye is not in the least problematic.

"LIED! You think I was born yesterday?! I saw clearly that the twig was just ripping your forehead! Even that twig is far from your left eye!" his yell.

FUCKIN' SHIT! WHY WOULD HE KNOW, ANYWAY?! GODDAMN SHIT!

Though I deliberately asked her uncle Victoria to all wrap my left eye so that I could say so, but she realized it this quickly?!

Goddamnit! Fucking norman! Why do you have to be this smart anyway?!

"Huh?"

Norman then took a few steps back, and then snapped at us both...

"Listen to me, you two! I know you don't want me to leave Wheatville, but it's my own decision! So listen to me carefully!

I WILL JOIN THE KNIGHTS OF PENSYLON, EVEN IF IT MEANS YOU WILL HATE ME FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIVES!"

That clash left me and Victoria silent a thousand languages. Although a few moments later I could hear more and more clearly the sobs of the girl next to me.

Damn, why would he want to leave anyway?

"BASIC ASSHOLE! WHAT DO YOU WANT TO JOIN THE KNIGHTS OF PENSYLON?!" my yelling.

Norman closed his eyes, exhaled a deep breath, and spoke.

"I told you, didn't I? I'll join forces so I can find the witch who killed my mother and then killed her with my own hands."

"FUCKING FOOL!" I said while beating him.

BUGS! Cret!

My fist just knocked Norman down. Tumbled to the muddy ground, which resulted in some mud splashing onto my and Victoria's clothes. But no one cares about that.

"Grrh!" his sigh.

I approached him, and then I screamed at his face.

"WHAT IN YOUR BIG BRAIN HAS IT NEVER BEEN THOUGHT OF AT LEAST ONCE IN YOUR LIFE THAT JOINING THE KNIGHTS OF PENSYLON IS SO DANGEROUS?!" my ketus.

A DUG!

"Ouch!" I said.

The lying Norman banged his own head against my head. So I fell in the opposite direction to Norman.

"I know about that too!" his reply.

Damn, his head is so hard. I think I understand now why his brain is fine even though it was hit hard on the branch of the start line tree.

"SO WHY DO YOU STILL WANT TO JOIN THERE?!"

"I TOLD YOU THAT"

"STOP!!" scream Victoria.

The screams that made me and Norman see the girl. In his eyes suddenly there was a waterfall and his breath was as tight as a sniffing dog (okay that seemed to demean him, but you know what I mean?).

"K-hiks... W-we have jan-hiks. ji unt-t-tuk-hiks together, Norman!" victoria's words are a bit unclear because interspersed with sobs.

Norman and I were silent to hear the girl crying louder. We both looked at each other.

"Norman, I beg you. Stay right here. We can live as farmers together!

With your intelligence, not only can we succeed as farmers, we can also change the fate of these slum Wheatville residents for the better!

We no longer need to worry about thieves, rats, disease outbreaks, and so on! It can all be realized if we stay together even longer here!" my clear.

Norman held onto his forehead as if thinking, his palms blocking my view towards his two eyes.

This purple-clothed man was indeed a thinker, but I understood that he was doing it solely so that me and Victoria did not realize that he was starting to cry (although of course he failed).

"Can't, Kristoff.." she refused.

"What do you mean you can't? You're that smart! Even if the three of us don't go to school, but we can turn Wheatville together!" my spoken.

The three of us live in a remote village that can be said to be 'forgotten' by the Kingdom, so it is only natural that in Wheatville there is absolutely no school.

I mean, Norman and Victoria right now would still be illiterate if they had never known me before. And even if there's a school here, I don't think we'll be able to get in because of money.

"I know about that." Norman agreed.

Norman agreed? There is still hope...

"Well, right? You know that yourself"

"But I don't just want to change Wheatville, Kristoff!" shouted at me.

This time Norman could stand it no longer. He was also no longer able to hide the sadness he harbored at this time. His eyes were teary, his voice was hoarse as well.

Shit, when I thought there was hope, it was just a false hope.

"What did you say?" I said.

My eyes started to water when I said it.

"I don't just want to change Wheatville, Kristoff. I also want to change the whole Pensylon for the better. And you know for yourself...

The only way a villager like the three of us can change Pensylon for the better is by joining the Knights of Pensylon." Norman explained to me as he shed tears.

"Are you stupid?! Risking your own life for something uncertain?! What kind of thought is that?!

Norman was silent without words.

"We need you here to change Wheatville for the better, Norman. So please, don't leave us." I said.

"It is precisely because you are here that I can go. You're gonna try to change Wheatville for the better when I try to make the whole of Pensylon better. Understood?" said it.

I'm out of words and wits, what more reason can I say and make to convince Norman to stay here.

The clement! The clement!

From a distance, the sound of horseshoes fluttered even louder. Someone came, and there was no way the sound could only come from a horse.

Whoever comes near this must use a horse carriage. When I saw who was controlling the horse carriage, I recognized it immediately.

It is Mr. Alexander's. Wheatville Village Chief, Norman's father. From behind the three of us, her uncle Victoria approached and warned.

"Norman, your father has arrived. Be prepared..."

"Okay, Uncle." replied Norman.

Norman stood up and slightly cleaned his clothes.

"Wheatville won't be the same without you, man." I said as I stood up.

"I know Wheatville won't be the same when I get back. That's also, if I go back."

Norman stepped away from me and Victoria, at least until...

Greb.

Victoria clasped Norman's dirty purple sleeve. Makes the man turn his body.

"Please... Hixes. Don't go, Norman. Stay together! We.." the blonde girl begged.

Norman looked back ahead. Then say...

"Send Snow to you, Victoria. Take good care of him..."

Victoria immediately shouted...

"I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR HORSE, NORMAN! I JUST WANT YOU TO STAY HERE! Huu...."

Drop after drop of water began to fall from the sky. It was as if the Soul of Pensylon was also crying over my friend's departure.

Norman breathed, and...

"Sorry, Victoria. I have to go." he replied as he pulled the arm that Victoria held and left.

"NORMAN!" he ran towards Norman.

Greb!

Victoria had to be held by her uncle so she could stop. However, I knew that all of that was difficult even for his uncle.

"GET OFF ME, UNCLE!"

"Victoria calm yourself down!"

"LEPAA-HA-AS! I HATE YOU, NORMAN!" victoria's shout was followed by sobs.

Contrary to Victoria who was forced to be silent but did not want to, I could only freeze. My legs feel paralyzed, my body stiff, and I can't talk.

Mr. horse carriage. Alexander slowed down before finally being completely stopped in front of this house. Norman himself was waiting on the edge of the muddy road.

"You ready, Norman?" ask the man.

Norman rubbed his eyes. After which, the purple-clothed child lowered his head slowly.

"Yes." she replied weakly.

"Okay, son, let's go before the rain gets bigger." said his father Norman.

Norman then boarded the train. From the horse carriage, Norman waved his hand at us.

"Goodbye, Christopher Hamilton... Goodbye, Victoria Hendrickson... I hope we can meet again."

The boy was pleased with a smile, but with tears that began to be covered with rain that soaked his face.

"NO!" exciting Victoria.

The clement! The clement!

The two horses pulling the horse-drawn carriage set their feet, making both father and son start to speed. Away left me and Victoria in this place.

"NORMAAANNN!!!" Victoria was getting louder and louder.

"Victoria! Calm yourself!" his uncle tried to calm him down.

The further Norman left us, the more I felt that something was bothering me.

Something, which made me have to chase after him.

Without hesitation I took a quick step and then ran after the horse carriage. I forgot I had a horse.

"HEY! CHRISTOPHER! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?! YOUR WOUNDS HAVE NOT HEALED!" shouted uncle Victoria.

I don't give a shit.

Even if the screams are heard...

Even if the land I walk on is getting slippery every time...

Even if my face feels like it's been pierced by hundreds or thousands of water needles from the sky...

I'll never stop running, not until Norman comes back or at least stops.

"NORMAN! YOU HEAR ME?! OI! YOU DICK! BACK!" myrag.

My throat hurts a lot from running and screaming. Not only that, my legs are also getting sore because they try to run fast while maintaining balance in this slippery mud land.

It is a foolish idea to chase a horse-drawn carriage just by running, in the rain anyway. The carriage instead of getting closer was getting further away. I should have ridden Spirit...

"NORMAYNN!!" my yelling.

The slip!

Damnit...

BRUK! Splats!

The soil is slippery because the mud becomes more slippery because of the rain. As a result, my legs lost balance and the result made me fall down.

"AHH!!!" my scream for landing right on the forehead first.

But I didn't think much. I immediately got back up to go back to chasing that damn horse carriage. But when I lift my head...

The carriage, it disappeared from my sight. My wet face from the rain made my eyes water even more.

Damn, I can't take it anymore...

"NORMAN!!!!" I cried while crying.

The rain is falling more and more. The coldness of the air as the rain mixed with the water increasingly roared my body which was still lying on the ground.

My clothes were torn a little, my pants were dirty and wet, the bandage on my forehead was loose, all because I fell down just now. My forehead is still not healed, the pain starts back when my bandage comes off.

"Hiks... Norman.." I said slowly.

I don't know where he is now, or if he hears my screams. But one thing I know for sure...

He would never answer my call to him.
