Chapter 9: The Dark Past Revealed
Maya treads carefully in the hallways of the house, her steps haunting the silence that envelops the place. He felt bitter, because he knew that he was getting closer to the secret hidden behind the walls of this house.
After a while of walking, Maya arrives at a room hidden in the middle of the house. The room looked like a laboratory with strange equipment scattered around it. There were chemicals, electronic devices, and books with strange writing on the shelves.
Maya felt something was wrong with this room. He felt a dark and gripping aura, as if there was an evil presence within. Carefully, Maya begins to investigate the room, hoping to find clues to the buried secrets.
Among the books adorning the shelves, Maya finds an old journal with a broken leather cover. The journal looks very old and dull, as a silent witness of a dark past. With interest, Maya opens the journal and starts reading.
In the journal, Maya finds a note that reveals a terrible story. The story of an evil scientist who lived in this house decades ago. The scientist was named Dr. Sebastianus Gideon, known for his vile experiments and attempts to obtain immortality.
Dr. Gideon experiments on humans, sacrificing their lives to achieve his dark goal. He tried to create an elixir of immortality using a dangerous combination of chemicals. However, his experiment ends in a terrible failure, causing humans to turn into cursed evil creatures.
Maya trembled while reading this story. He realized that this house was a silent witness of the crimes and suffering that occurred in the past. He feels a responsibility to uncover the truth and end the curse that envelops this place.
As Maya continues reading the journal, she finds clues about the existence of a hidden basement in the house. The basement is said to be the repository of Dr. Dr.'s dark experiments. Gideon, as well as the deeper secrets still buried there.
With great courage, Maya decides to explore the basement. He follows clues found in the journal and searches for a way into the hidden underworld.
After following a narrow and dark passageway, Maya finally reaches the door leading to the basement. With a thumping heart, he opened the door and entered the dark and terrifying world beneath the surface of this house.
Maya takes out a flashlight from her pocket and illuminates the dreary dungeon. What he found left him flabbergasted.
On the walls of the room hung dried human bodies and were encased in black silk. The bodies were like preserved bodies, depicting unimaginable suffering and cruelty.
Maya dumbfounded. He realizes that he has found real evidence of Dr. Dr.'s dark experiments. Gideon. The hanging bodies were the result of the cruelty of the evil scientist, a silent witness of his greed and ambition.
However, before Maya could continue her exploration, a mysterious voice rang out in the basement. The sound was like the sound of the whirring of the wind and the evil whispers filling the room. Maya feels something is watching and scouting her behind the darkness.
With her heart racing, Maya quickens her pace. He did not want to be trapped inside this gripping basement. He tried to find a way out, but the passageways were like an elaborate labyrinth.
When Maya is almost desperate, she sees a dim light in the distance. That's the way out! With her last remaining courage, Maya runs towards that light, hoping to escape the horrors that follow behind her.
Maya manages to reach the basement exit. He breathed a sigh of relief as the clear night sky greeted him. He fled the house with a heart burdened by the evil he encountered.
As Maya steps away from the house, she is determined to uncover the truth completely and end the curse that envelops the place. He will face the secrets and fears hidden within himself, and overcome every obstacle that lies before him.
