Chapter 2: Ghost Game
Maya awakens with breath, cold sweat. He felt as if he was still trapped in the forbidden room. However, as his eyes caught the light coming through the window, he realized that it was just a nightmare.
With her heart still pounding, Maya decides to wake up and have a new day. He recalls the creepy experience in the forbidden room, but tries to convince himself that it was just his wild imagination.
However, as Maya walks towards the kitchen, strange sounds begin to be heard from inside the house. Rattling and hoarse voices filled the air, as if some were whispering from a hidden place. Maya felt a chill run down her spine.
When he entered the kitchen, something shocking happened. The closet door opened by itself, and from inside came an old wooden box covered with strange symbols. Maya observes the box carefully, curious about its contents.
Without hesitation, Maya opened the box. Inside, there was an old game board with strange letters engraved on it. With an irrepressible curiosity, Maya reads the inscription in the middle of the board, "The Ghost Game".
Suddenly, the mood changed drastically. The light of the lights dimmed, and dark shadows appeared around Maya. For no apparent reason, the game began to tremble, as if reviving itself. Maya gulps, shocked by what happened.
Carefully, he read the instructions on the side of the game board. The instructions explain how to play this game correctly. As it turns out, the game is a bridge to the spirit world, and the player must be prepared to face the consequences.
Interested by the challenges offered, Maya decides to play the game. He placed his finger on the game board, closed his eyes, and uttered an ancient spell inscribed in the instructions.
Slowly, shadowy figures began to appear around him. They are bloodthirsty spirits and pursue their immortality. Maya groans in fear, realizing that the game is not what she imagined it to be.
Unmercifully, the spirits began to approach Maya, waving their pale hands and emitting an aura of darkness. Maya tries to run, but the entities keep chasing her, filling the air with spooky exclamations and ghostly voices.
In desperation, Maya calls her friends. In the hope that they can help him out of this game, he yells calling their names one by one. However, only silence was heard in return.
Until finally, a soft and weak voice sounded in Maya's ears. The voice says that there is no way out of the game unless Maya successfully completes the mission assigned by the spirits.
Maya gulped and nodded in agreement. He has to take risks and fight to get out of this game. The spirits provide clues about the first mission the Maya must complete: collecting five ancient objects hidden inside an old abandoned house in the middle of a forest.
Carefully, Maya steps up to the game's exit and suddenly finds herself at the doorstep of an abandoned old house. He knows that a sinister adventure has just begun, and he must have the courage and perseverance to survive and complete this game.
