Eternal Shadow
Chapter 1: Forbidden Room

That day, Maya feels pounding as she steps into her new, stately home. After moving to this small town, he hopes to find the calm and inspiration to write his new novel. However, as soon as Maya crosses the doorway, there is something strange that makes her hair goosebumps.

Maya steps across the elegant living room, noticing the old pictures hanging on the wall. The sound of his footsteps echoed in the long corridor, sending tremors through the space. However, darkness enveloped the house, making it feel too quiet.

Suddenly, his gaze was fixed on a small door hidden in one corner of the living room. Maya was curious and approached him carefully. The door was tightly locked, inviting growing curiosity. He took the key out of his pocket, hoping to open the mysterious door.

Shaking, Maya puts the key into the keyhole. At that instant, the door opened by itself. Strange tremors enveloped the air as he stepped his feet into the forbidden room hidden behind that door.

The atmosphere in the room was different. The air felt cold and filled with a gripping aura. Maya looked around, looking at the old furniture wrapped in dust and shadows that seemed to move in the corners of the room. Something is not right with this place.

Not wanting to back down, Maya continued her steps. Every step he took made his heart flutter even more. As he crossed the cracked old table, he suddenly felt a soft touch on his arm. Maya turns around, but no one is there. Only the shadows seemed to dance on the walls.

Maya continues her exploration and eventually reaches a large wooden cabinet located in the corner of the room. Carefully, he opened the door. In it, he found a collection of outdated ancient books. Maya takes one of the books off the shelf and opens her first page.

However, before he could read a single word, a terrifying voice echoed around him. A supernatural firework emerges from the book he holds, causing Maya to be thrown backwards by an unseen force. He fell to the floor and lost consciousness for a moment.

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps could be heard in the distance. Maya stopped her movements, listening carefully. The voice drew closer, and Maya felt that someone was nearby. He tried to call, but his voice stopped in his throat.

Then, from the corner of the room, a shadow of a mysterious figure appeared that approached Maya. The shadow emitted a dark and terrifying aura. Maya felt her body freeze, caught in an indescribable panic.

"You've been waiting a long time" whispered the figure in a sinister voice. "Now, it's time to pay the debt you've long left behind."

Maya tries to retreat, but her legs feel trapped in the ground. The figure was getting closer and closer, his dreadful face was becoming more and more clearly visible. The ghost grabbed Maya's hand with an unexpected force, grasping it tightly.

In desperation, Maya tries to scream, calling for help. However, his voice sounded dead and useless. He is trapped in a dark forbidden room, hoping that someone will come to his rescue before it is too late.

However, amidst the gripping darkness, the only silent witnesses of his struggle were the constantly moving shadows, dancing on the walls, as if they were enjoying the spectacle of his endless agony.
