Chapter 7: Revealing Buried Secrets

Maya treads carefully through the dark alleys of this cursed house. The dim light from the lantern he was carrying illuminated his steps. Every fiber of his existence is awake, ready to face every obstacle he may encounter.

After a while of walking, Maya reaches a large door located at the end of the hallway. The door looked old and fragile, yet it was so strong and thick-walled. He held the doorknob trembling, not knowing what was behind it.

With a tense feeling, Maya toppled the door carefully. In front of him was a large, dark room. He entered carefully, stepping slowly while keeping his guard up.

When Maya reaches the center of the room, she sees an old table with a piece of paper on it. Maya approached the table and read the writing on it. The inscription uncovers a great secret that has been buried inside this house for years.

"In this house, lies a power that can annihilate the world if it falls into the wrong hands. That power was embedded in the energy stone, which was hidden in the most hidden place. Only by combining the power of light and the power of darkness could the stone be found and used wisely."

Maya is stunned by this discovery. He felt a great responsibility burdening his shoulders. The power that could annihilate the world was within his reach, and he had to find that energy stone before it fell into the wrong hands.

With a thumping heart, Maya leaves the room and continues her search. He walked down dark alleys, entered empty rooms and went back to look for clues that could lead him to the energy stone.

Inside the drawer was a wooden box decorated with intricate carvings. Maya felt that there was something special about the box, something that made her heart thump. With hesitation, he took the wooden box and opened it.

As the box opens, Maya is shocked by what she finds. Inside was a sparkling stone with a dazzling sky-blue color. The stone emanated an astonishing power, emitting a gentle light that illuminated the entire room.

Maya felt her heart fill with new power as she held onto that energy stone. He realized that this was the stone described in the note on the table earlier. But before he could feel his full satisfaction, he realized that the existence of this stone attracted the attention of evil creatures lurking inside this house.

From the corner of the room, a shadowy figure appeared with slow steps. He smiled wickedly, looking at Maya with a hateful look. "Finally, the energy stone was found," said the shadow figure with a threatening voice. "However, you won't be able to have it just like that."

Maya holds the energy stone tightly, preparing herself for the upcoming battle. He knew that the fight against this shadowy figure would be the most difficult, yet he should not give up.

With remaining courage, Maya stepped forward towards that shadowy figure. The battle of two opposing forces, light and darkness, began in this dark and terrifying room.
