Chapter XX
The sound of running shoes echoed in the corridor of Malalayang hospital. Maddie and Will head straight to the hospital when they get word that Denada has been found. Without realizing it, Maddie shed tears. He was relieved that Denada was found still breathing. This hazel-styled girl does not know what to do if the police find Denada has been stiffened.
From a distance Maddie could see Aunt Mala who was walking pacing the front of the room in IGD.
"What is the condition of the Inca-denna?"
The woman who had been Denada's guardian for 8 years was hugging Maddie tightly. He buried his head while crying. Maddie stroked the woman's head and calmed her.
"Inka lost a lot of blood and her head suffered a pretty strong impact. The Inca needed a break and it's very likely that she hasn't been able to turn her head around."
"No problem. The point is that the Inca has been found."
Hearing Denada is in the hands of the doctor and not Om Richard is enough for Maddie. He could not imagine what had really happened to Denada. The loss of Denada alone has made Maddie hurt. Yes he's hurt. It can not be denied anymore, Maddie can already treat Denada as before. A pal.
"Winstone Inca Denada Family?" A doctor came out while removing the mask and gloves, and threw them away. Maddie glanced at the bleeding glove and immediately turned her eyes away. It's Denada's blood.
"I doc."
"For now Denada's condition has improved, but he still lacks blood. Denada needs 2-3 more blood bags."
Aunt Mala sat down and cried, "Oh Inca... What should I do?"
"Why aunt?" Ask Will who was silent.
"Inka's not Aunt Mala's son." Whisper Maddie.
"What Inca blood type is aunty?"
"B-"
Will's eyes glared. He looked at Maddie seriously, "Gue can Mads. I have the same blood type."
"Lo sure? We can find a donor."
Will does not heed Maddie and turns his head towards the doctor who handles Denada.
"Can I donate my blood?"
"You can go straight to the blood bank. They'll do some tests first, make sure you're in good health." The doctor obviously turned away.
"Will lo sure?"
"What's the question anyway?" Will chuckles, "There's my friend too. What's wrong with me donating my blood?"
"Thanks Will." - "Thanks Will." Maddie hugged Will tightly. The men return Maddie's brief hug and pass to the blood bank to do some tests.
"Auntie is calm. I'll call Papa for another donor. Papa has a friend who works at PMI." Maddie is full of spirit.
"Thank you son. Thanks." Tanta Mala held Maddie's hand tightly. He could not stop the tears that came out realizing that when it was difficult there were still people who wanted to help Denada.
"Where is leon aunty?"
"May eat in front."
"I am following Leon Aunty."
On the way, Maddie told Chester to ask for help, and the man was happy to help. Maddie smiled faintly and immediately ended the call as her net hazel caught Leon at the end of the room, sitting aloof, with a cigarette.
"Hey."
"Hey."
Leon turned off the cigarette that was almost finished and took a small sip of the bottle.
"Well, are you talking to the police?"
"They found the Inca in the back room, Om Richard's house. He's tied up and his mouth's on the glue." Leon clenched his hands, "His body was bruised and his head was bleeding. His face.Inka's face bruised. I can't see him."
Maddie shut up not believing what Denada experienced one night alone with Om Richard. The girl was battered.
"Is he. is.." Somehow Maddie's gonna ask this. This Blake guy wants to know, but he's afraid, "Did Richard?"
Leon just smiled slanted while screeching, "It's best not. Because if that man harasses the Inca, I'll kill him myself." Leon turned to Maddie, "Maybe you don't understand. I love the Inca. I wanna fuckin marry her, have children with her. I hope he can still accept after knowing everything."
Maddie held Leon's shoulder slowly. He understood Leon's feelings were very angry. The girl he had been dating since moving to Manado, the girl he had always been there for since Junior High, was kidnapped and tortured by a man he was proud of, a figure he considered family.
"Gue knows Leon. Well anyway I've just been a few days together Will, but I know if you would like to do anything for Denada." Maddie smiled thinly, "Lo's a good boyfriend."

As Denada entered the room, Maddie cried softly. Now he saw Denada's face and arms just as Leon described them. Maddie's heart ached to see Denada unconscious and had to put on oxygen to breathe.
"You can go home. Auntie will keep the Inca here."
Aunt Mala said she saw the clock was showing at 5 pm. Everything Mala needs to spend the night guarding Denada is already there, thanks to the help of Maddie, Leon and Will.
"I'll be back tomorrow." Sahut Maddie without hesitation, and Mala responded with a nod.
Will takes Maddie and walks out of the hospital together. Leon has been home since. The man had said goodbye to Aunt Mala and said as clearly as possible that he could not see Denada in this condition. But Leon will continue to visit without entering the room, and Tanta Mala understands.

The next day Maddie woke up early and called Aunt Mala to ask Denada. The girl had received 1 more bag of blood last night and Aunt Mala was very grateful. The girl immediately entered the bathroom and began her morning ritual. He returned to schoolwork, and began typing the assignment Bella sent him for tomorrow.
At that time he got a short message from Will who said today he would return home because of family affairs. Maddie gets a message from Leon asking if she will go to the hospital and at that time she remembers something she wants to leave. The girl decided to call Leon.
"Hello?"
Leon's voice greeted the hearing senses when Maddie installed the loudspeaker, considering he was also typing schoolwork.
"Well, is he in the hospital?"
"Yet. I stopped by to buy food for Aunt Mala."
Hearing that Maddie closed the expensive laptop with the apple logo and walked out of the room.
"Here stay, nyokap buy the cake earlier and mostly, dear in the dump."
"His temple for me?"
"Enak. To Aunt Mala." Answer Maddie ketus.
"Yes yes. I'll stop by later. In about 20 minutes."
Maddie turns off the connection and meets Olivia in the living room, watching an Indian series.
"Ma, I gave the cake to Tanta Mala?"
"Would you like to go to the hospital?" Asked the career woman without taking her eyes off the rectangular object in front of her.
"You're on the same page as Leon."
"Bring everything up. Sweetheart's dumped."
Maddie was heading for the kitchen but she came back.
"Where's box?"
"There's next to the fridge. But you take the one in the cupboard, the size is smaller, "This time Olivia turned to, "You guys buy fruit or food."
"Leon bought food. But later in the afternoon I'll go to the hospital, I'll bring food." Maddie and keep walking towards the kitchen.
He opened the food cover on the table and found half a circle of chocolate cake from Marry's Bake. He took the box in the closet and went back to wrapping the delicious cake. It didn't take long for Leon to honk in front of Blake's house.
Today Maddie is wearing casual clothes. Light brown oversize t-shirt with teddy bear picture in front, combined with black hotpants. He rolled his hair up, and let a few strands of hair hang. Well-favoured.
Maddie thrusting the box of cookies, "Now."
"Have you been to the police station?" Ask Maddie.
"Udah."
Maddie asked very curiously, "Trus?"
"Tomorrow they will decide on the punishment of Om Richard. You and Will can come in the court office. Aunt Mala doesn't want to see Richard, so her son's changing." Leon is sitting in the car.
"What time?"
"The trial starts at 10 o'clock."
Maddie understands the position of Aunt Mala who does not want to see Richard. He tortured Denada who had been considered a real child by the woman.
He also thought he would attend the trial, because of the curiosity that continues to interfere.
