Chapter XIII

"The discovery of the corpse of a fighter shocked Malalayang. His body has been taken to RSUD Malalayang hospital for autopsy."

Madelline starts her morning in class by watching the news on her mobile phone. News about the discovery of another body in the city of Manado. It is very rare for such a case to occur, and this case is truly terrible. Police have also started issuing orders to no longer be active let alone alone above 10 pm.

"Hey."

Maddie was shocked when someone hit her desk. Maddie took off the headset and looked at the figure irritatedly.

"Shock bego." Maddie ketus.

William laughed and sat down next to Maddie. The man no longer hid their closeness, and this morning he brought a loaf of bread, and fed Maddie. The girl accepted it greedily.

"Hugely tensed. What else?"

Maddie swallowed her bread before telling her story. He looked at Will seriously, "Discovering a corpse in Malalayang."

"May it be Angelina's body." Will's reply to Maddie's displeased gaze. "Better to find than not, right?"

Maddie can only shake. Can't believe Will seenteng was about this case. A case that is being talked about. Cases that make Manado City trending topics on various social media.

"Lo don't want this case?" Asked the curious Maddie who only responded with shoulder movements.

"We can't do anything."

Mrs Linda walked in with her hands full of books. He put his bag on the chair and placed the book on the table. The 12th grade IPS students also ran small, to their seats.

"Good morning. Take out your book and the assignment is on page 58." Mrs Linda said, "Bella, please share this with other friends."

"How many tasks Mrs?" Ask a student after each of them has obtained a book.

"Task 3. You will be in groups of 4 according to the row of seats, two front two back."

Maddie, who was sitting at the very back, was about to call out to the two friends sitting in front of her as Zoe and Alis chased them away. The two then sat facing Maddie who was also staring at them annoyed.

"Hi Maddie."

"It turns out we're a bunch of ya?"

Zoe's naughtiness and Eyebrows are capable of making Maddie emotional. He clenched his hands under the table, trying to vent his emotions at the hands. But not long ago Zoe and Eyebrow were there, Will suddenly sat down beside Maddie.

"Gue's here." He said quickly and immediately took out his notebook.

The way that Eyebrow chased Will away indirectly made Will smile obliquely. He looked at Alis and Zoe alternately.

"Sintia didn't come in, did she? Maddie herself and my group are over 1 person because Greg is also sitting alone." Will leaned back, "Lo was both in the group next door. They lack people. Want me to tell Mrs Linda?"

Will's threat managed to silence Zoe and Alis' mouth. The two girls then pulled out a notebook and no longer told stories. Maddie breathed a sigh of relief that Will could shut their mouths. Maddie looked at Will with her mouth open, saying a silent thank you, who was nodding back.

"You have 30 minutes before we're going to discuss this together."

The word group is like meaningless at Maddie's desk. Maddie and Will help each other and explain, without even inviting Zoe and Alis who are also a group.

Neither Maddie nor Will responded to the response of the two figures in front of them. And that irritated Zoe and the Eyebrows. They kept telling me until Zoe remembered something.

The rest of the class turned their gazes towards Maddie, Zoe, Eyebrow and Will. Zoe chuckles. Plan succeeded.

"Madelline Blake." Mrs Linda's rebuke makes Maddie duck.

"Sorry Mrs." Maddie.

"Please appreciate my teaching hours. I will not tolerate students who do not value my time." This slim-bodied teacher had already stood up from his place and was staring at Maddie sharply.

The owner of the net hazel could only bow and apologize again, "I understand. I'm sorry Mrs Linda."

"Now number 2 Mads."

Whisper Will. He thrust a pen at Maddie and showed her the explanation of the next number in the book he shared earlier. Maddie complied and continued her activities which again disturbed Zoe.

"Jude, diem. The fact is that it's in front of Will's eyes. You've shot? Or just express your feelings?"

"It's none of your business." Will replies flatly, without taking a look at the book.

"Oh yes, and you are rejected or even not given an answer, the problem is you. Not Mrs Perfect always winning."

Will stuck. He glanced at Maddie briefly, then returned to writing. This time Zoe's words were able to make her shut up during lesson time.

Call Maddie soft.

"Hm?"

"Gue's going to the cafeteria. Want to drop something? Snack out? Or water?"

Maddie just took a slow breath and left the class. Along the way Maddie grumbled in annoyance.

"Fucking zo. Bucket mouth."

Black-shoeed feet lead the wearer to the principal's office. He knocked once before letting himself in. He glanced at Afrian Blake who was busy typing on his laptop, and threw his body on a soft velvet sofa at the end of the room.

The air conditioning of the room makes at least the girl's mind adem.

"Maddie's."

The baritone voice of Chester Blake's younger brother greeted the owner of the netra hazel. Lazily he looked at the 3-child man with two eyebrows raised. What happened in class made her feel bad for Will.

"Have you heard the police announcement?"

Afrian closed the laptop, and got out of his soft seat behind the desk, and took his place in front of Maddie. He took off his glasses and took out a cigarette. Smoke slowly came out when the tip of the butts had lit up. Menthol can also smell Maddie.

"Uncle's smoke-free area. That's your auran." Maddie's insinuation makes Afrian chuckle. He did make that rule, but it was a special student. Not the teacher, he said.

Maddie fixed her position, sitting facing Afrian, "An announcement of the evening exit? It's." Already."

Afrian nodded. He smokes the cigarette and holds the leg wrapped in black cloth pants. The man looked at Maddie seriously.

"Uncle knows you often go out and go home at 9 p.m. Your habits better be eliminated." Afrian said, "Uncle has spoken to your Papa. And he'll be looking for security for your house."

Maddie sighed softly. He knew the case affected the security of the City, but it was unthinkable to hire a security man in an elite house, who also went out of the housing through cctv and security guards.

"It's because of Sophie and Angelina right?"

"Not just them." Quick Afrian reply.

Maddie raised one forehead, "But in the news Sophie and Angelina are women who disappeared and were found dead."

Afrian approached, and glanced at the entrance before telling him, "Sophie and Angelina were 2 of the 6 victims. Because their bodies were found directly by the public."

"6 victims?"

Maddie surprise. She only knows Sophie and Angelina. Don't know there are any more victims. Though he was already convinced his neighbor was the psychopath, but after knowing there were 6 victims he began to doubt. Was Richard really involved or just a coincidence?

"There's a psychopath still roaming the city and his victims are women aged 14 - 30 years." Afrian spoke half-whispered, "And one more. Uncle asked you to stay away from William Adhicandra."

"What does this have to do with Will? He and I have been together since the first day we entered."

Of course the 17-year-old girl did not accept it. Will and he are close. Will had even expressed his feelings and could not be hidden anymore if he began to put his taste in the figure surnamed Rantung. Staying away from Will was the last thing he wanted to do right now.

"The police suspect his father. You know he's-"

Maddie shut her mouth. Remember the incident 6 years ago which also shocked the city of Manado. A psychopath kills 6 women, at random. Their bodies were put down as origin, letting the public find their wretched bodies. And the perpetrator at that time was Jimmy Adhicandra. Father of William Adhicandra.

Maddie finds Olivia in the living room with a stack of files around her. Women who work as lecturers and owners of famous restaurants in the City were busy sorting some files while writing something in the notebook.

Maddie approached, smelling the mother, letting the smell of her expensive perfume enter her sense of smell and sitting a little away from the 40-year-old woman.

"Ma, still want a Beautiful Aunt?"

"Beautiful Ruata?" Olivia replied with eyes still fixed on the sheet of paper.

"Yes." Yeah."

"Why?"

Carefully choosing words, Maddie ventured to ask the relationship of the two career women.

"Why do you rarely look like Auntie Lovely? You usually hang out together."

Olivia glanced at Maddie briefly then returned with her work, "Beautiful House is far away. We're here and they're in Mapanget." Olivia took off her glasses and a paper towel in her hand, "Why did you suddenly ask?"

"Currenting aja. A few months ago my mom and Auntie Lovely were often out together."

Olivia moved in and sat down with Maddie. He stroked the girl's head and smiled.

"Papa u have forbidden mama to hang out with him."

"Because it was Jim who killed some people?"

"Of course." Chester suddenly appears with a laptop, sitting facing two women who live with him. "But it's beautiful and William doesn't know anything about it. Jim moved by himself. And after that incident Lovely immediately divorced Jim and William was still visiting his father, forgiving him before." Further.

Netra hazel Maddie glared at Chester, "He's on death row?"

"No Maddie. 3 months after going to jail Jim has Asthma and often goes back and forth to the Hospital." Olivia. Maddie had thought Will's father was sentenced to death for never being seen.

"Where is Jim now?"

Olivia just shrugged her shoulders while Chester let out a slow breath, "Either. He was released 2 years ago after 5 years in prison and I don't know how much the fine is." Chester said, "He should have been sentenced to 40 years in prison, but no matter what he did, he managed to reduce his sentence and paid a huge price."

"He is free." Maddie Mumbled.

"Why suddenly wonder about Jimmy Adhicandra?" Chester let out a curious aura when the princess suddenly wanted to know the case 6 years ago.

Maddie nervous. He shook his head firmly, "No. Curious about it."

"Police has named Jim as a suspect and Jim was brought in for interrogation this afternoon."

Olivia now looked at her husband in wonder, "But why Jim? Is it because of his past?"

"No. Police found CCTV footage the night Angelina was alive and there she was seen fighting with Jim."
