As planned, Felix and Chika go to her mother's house on the weekend. The plan is they'll stay the night, because Felix's mama asked.
Along the way Chika was so pounding. His feelings are not because of fear, mama Felix will be disappointed with him.
"Calm down. You're like applying for a job."
"Do you know, I fluttered more than when I applied for a job."
"Why could that be?" Felix laughed at Chika's seemingly nervous remarks.
"Because now I'm applying to be a son-in-law, so my fear is bigger. If you just don't get a job, I can find another one, but if your mama doesn't accept me, do I have to find another."
"No." Felix grabs Chika's hand. "I won't let you look for another."
"It's just a parable."
"Even if it's just a parable, I won't be willing." Felix bent his face in annoyance.
Chika smiled. Feeling Felix's great love makes him happy.
No human being is perfect, even if he meets those who have a good past, not necessarily in the future he will always be good. Likewise when meeting with those who are bad, not necessarily in the future they will always be bad.
"Yes. Sorry."
Felix kept holding Chika's hand. Don't wanna take things off for a second. Throughout the journey Chika asks her fiance to take off in order to focus on the streets, but Felix ignores her.
Their journey came to a big house. Chika looks at the house feeling surprised because Felix actually lives in the apartment. Though the big house can still accommodate Felix. However, his memory goes back to a word of freedom. Maybe that's why Felix chose to live in an apartment.
They came down and pressed the bell. A moment later, the door opened. Looks middle-aged woman who still looks beautiful in the middle of the century.
"You have come." Liana linked the cheeks to her son and future daughter-in-law. He pulls Chika in and ignores her son. "Do you know, I'm glad you came home" Liana told Chika.
The warm welcome from Lydia made Chika's fear instantly disappear. The face with a smile from Lydia was so soothing.
"He does love Ma's cheesecake" Felix's voice rang out as the two women were engrossed.
"It's a coincidence."
"Thank you, Auntie."
"Kok call aunty, call mama."
Chika surprised. Not expecting to get a lot of surprises. First, because it was warmly welcomed, second served like a princess and third considered like a child.
"Good, Ma." Chika replied while receiving the cheesecake that was given. Start eating a cake that is special. However, when one mouthful is put in her mouth, Chika senses that it is a cheesecake at her grocery store. Chika is a cheesecake lover so her tongue is already very puffed with the taste of the cake. Especially in some cake shops in the capital he has mostly tried.
"It's cake in—"
"In the usual store you buy." Felix cuts off Chika's speech.
"So that cake shop …." Chika digests Felix's words and combines with the explanation given by Felix's mama if it comes from her cake shop.
"Yes, it's a mama's cake shop."
"Well so you like to buy cakes there. You buy in which area."
Chika calls one of the cake shops near the mall in the southern area. The cake shop was in front of the mall exactly, and it turned out to be there at the center. However, Chika is astonished to have never met Felix's mother there.
Liana laughs. He explained it was probably a coincidence that Chika had not met him. Liana often welcomes guests.
The two women were so excited to talk about cake. Liana promises to teach Chika to make cheesecake like in her shop. Chika was so excited. Moreover, the cake made is his favorite.
Felix who saw the two women he loved so familiar made him so happy. Not much was expected but to see her the woman she loved smiling.
