"Angelina...Was that the cop who took us?"
Caroline pondered for a moment, then she went to find Angelina.
He went to the traffic police, then asked a policeman he met, "Where's Miss Angelina?"
"Miss Angelina is in the next room" the policeman pointed to the room next door.
"Thank you" Caroline went straight to the room and knocked on the door.
Geck! Geck! Geck!
"Come in"
There was Angelina's voice from inside, hearing that Caroline immediately opened the door and entered. As soon as Angelina saw Caroline, she raised her eyebrows in confusion and asked:
"Miss Webster, is there anything you need?"
Angelina is of course known to Caroline, the daughter of the Webster family, one of the influential families in Pearl City in addition to the Lawrence family.
"Miss Angelina, I heard you imprisoned my friend, why? What did he do until you put him in jail?"
Caroline wanted to ascertain what Luke had done so that he would have to stay in prison, if Luke was related to a crime, then she would not bother to help him.
But if Luke had nothing to do with evil at all, he couldn't just let it go. He will help Luke to get justice.
"Miss Webster, this has nothing to do with you. So you can go now."
Angelina did not want to involve Caroline into her affairs, so she told Caroline not to interfere.
"I'll leave after you set her free" Caroline doesn't want to leave before Angelina frees Luke.
"Miss Webster, if you may know, what is your relationship with her? Why do you care so much about him?"
Angelina was a little surprised why Caroline cared so much about Luke, so she asked about their relationship.
"He's...Friend." Caroline replied, at first she was confused as to what to answer, after all today was the first time they met.
"I'm sorry Miss Webster, but I can't free her." Angelina shook her head.
'Heh, I won't let go before making her suffer, ' Angelina's inner self.
"It seems like I have no other choice," Caroline muttered and walked out of the room.
Then he pulled out his phone and called someone, "Hello uncle John, it's me, I need help from you..."
Caroline explained the situation to the man named John, after a while Caroline ended the call.
The person Caroline had contacted just now was John Judge. He was a private attorney for the Webster family, each extended family having their own personal lawyer.
After half an hour, a middle-aged man in a gray suit arrived at the police station. As soon as Caroline saw the man, she immediately greeted him, "Uncle John!"
"Young lady, you don't usually call me" she said as she approached Caroline.
Very rarely does Caroline need a lawyer, as she never makes any trouble. She usually called him out for business only, so she was a little astonished by this.
"As I said before uncle, my friend is currently under arrest for a briefing with me.
I've asked the police for an explanation, but he still insists on arresting my friend."
Caroline goes back to explaining the situation Luke had with John. John finally understood the crux of the matter after hearing Caroline's explanation.
"Now that I understand the crux of the matter, this is most likely a personal grudge. Take it easy, young lady, I'll handle this."
"Thank you, uncle John."
"There's no need to thank me, as the Webster family's personal attorney, for helping you."
John then goes to see Angelina, once he confronts Angelina, John immediately tells his arrival intention:
"Miss Angelina, right? I'm not going to mince words, so I'm going to tell you directly. I heard you arrested a man named Luke."
"That's right, and you are?"
Despite knowing the Webster family, Angelina does not know about their personal lawyer. So he asked John for his identity.
"I'm John Judge, a lawyer. I'm here to release my client, Lukas Miracle." That's the name she heard from Caroline.
"I guess the reason you held him down was for personal grudges, right?"
"If this is known to your boss, what will happen to you? I think you know the answer to that."
"So, in order to avoid a bigger problem, I'm asking you to release my Client, otherwise I might report this to your superior."
"Ck" Angelina could only click her tongue after hearing the threat from John. He then called the police who had previously put Lukas in prison.
"What's the matter Miss Angelina?" The police asked as soon as he arrived.
"Free the man before!"
"Good"
The policeman nodded without asking why Angelina released him, at least because she saw someone in Angelina's room. So he thought the reason for the man's arrival was to free Luke.
The policeman arrived at Lukas' place of detention, and he was shocked to see two prisoners there injured.
"What's going on? Did you two fight?"
The policeman thought they were both fighting because only the two of them were injured.
The two prisoners looked at each other, but they did not dare to tell the truth.
"Don't I tell you not to fight?" The police reminded.
Then he called out to Luke who seemed to be sleeping, "Hey, get up!"
Luke awakens when he hears someone telling him to get up. He then saw the policeman who had earlier taken him there.
"What's wrong? Don't tell me that woman wants to trouble me again." Luke guessed Angelina ordered the cop to make things difficult for him.
"No, this time Miss Angelina ordered to release you." The policeman shook his head.
"What's? Did I not hear wrong?" Luke does not believe Angelina released him.
"You heard it right, a man came into Miss Angelina's room, apparently the man asked to set you free."
The police tell Lukas that there was actually a man who came to Angelina.
Lukas then gets out of prison and follows the police.
'Who helped me?'
Luke doesn't remember ever contacting anyone, even he wasn't allowed to do it.
'Is that Lawrence's family? No, there's no way they know I'm in jail, they keep an eye on me?' Luke rejects the idea that Lawrence's family sent someone for him.
Moments later they arrive at Angelina's office, Luke sees a middle-aged man sitting together with Angelina.
'Who is this guy?' Luke did not know the man at all.
"I've released him, miss."
"Back!"
The policeman immediately returned to his place after delivering Luke to Angelina's room.
"Mr Luke, I'm John Judge, I'm a lawyer." John reached out his hand to shake hands with Luke.
"It's nice to meet you." Luke also extended his hand and shook John's hand.
After that John said to Angelina, "Because my client has been released, then we go first, excuse me."
Before leaving Luke looked at Angelina and said quietly, "I will remember this."
Luke's words were very slow and only he could hear them, but Angelina saw Luke's mouth move and his sharp gaze toward her. So he was sure Luke was threatening him.
"Hmph, I'll catch you if I see you in the future," Angelina snorted as soon as she saw Luke and John coming out of her room.
"Thank you for helping me."
Outside Angelina's room, Luke thanks John for his help, if there is no John, maybe he should spend longer in prison.
"No need to thank me, I'm just doing my job. But you should thank Young Miss."
John said as he pointed at Caroline who was sitting not far from there, as soon as Caroline saw them approaching. He immediately stood up and approached Luke and John.
