"I have absolutely no intention of interfering in your domestic affairs, but I can't stand watching you treat your wife like that." Luke said as he looked at the woman who had fallen on the ground.

"As much as I want how I treat my wife, it has nothing to do with you at all."

"You better get out, otherwise don't blame me for being rude to you." The man warns Luke to leave them immediately.

"I'll leave, of course I'll leave after you've left, too" Luke couldn't leave them alone, or else the woman would be beaten again.

"This is my home, why do I leave my own home. There you're supposed to go, you're just an outsider." The man scolded Lukas and kept insisting on staying there.

Luke again saw the woman crying on the floor, the woman crying while holding the part of her face that was hit by a slap from her husband. Seeing him like that makes Luke could not bear to leave him.

'What should I do?' In Luke, he wondered what to do now.

He can't just beat up the guy, if he does he'll probably report to the police and Luke doesn't want that to happen. It could have been at that point he lied and made Lukas who ended up being detained by the police.

'Wait, doesn't he just need money?'

Luke then asked the man, "Didn't you need money? How much do you need? I'll give it to you as long as you don't hurt her anymore!"

Somehow Luke did that much to the woman he had just met, he himself did not know what made him like that.

The man immediately smiled happily when he heard what Luke had just said, but he quickly returned to his original expression and said, "Do you think I'll go with that?"

"What about 100 dollars? I guess that's enough, right?" Lukas immediately offered, he knew the man wanted to sell expensive.

"You think-"

"500 dollars!"

Before the man finished what he wanted to say, Luke immediately cut his words.

"You think I won't receive that much? Of course I'll leave if you give me the money." The man, of course, would not reject Luke's offer.

'This much money comes by itself, of course I won't turn it down. I'll be back here anyway.' He looked at his wife who was still crying.

Luke gave the man 500 dollars, "This'

The man took it, "Thank you" he said with a sly smile. Then he left regardless of his wife's condition.

Luke then approached the woman and asked her condition, "Are you okay? Wait a minute, I'll go to the pharmacy for a minute." Luke immediately went to the pharmacy after seeing the bruise on the woman's face.

Soon Luke returned with the ointment in his hand, and he applied the ointment to the woman's bruise, "What really happened?" Ask Lukas.

"Recently my husband was addicted to drugs and he spent all our money on drugs. And just now that he wanted to ask for more money to buy drugs, I told him there was no more money, but he kept insisting that he beat me up."

"It's actually not the first time he's hit me, he's even hit his own daughter. Drugs have really changed it, I don't know what else to do with it."

The woman explained to Lukas what she had been going through so far, she was severely tormented by her drug-addicted husband.

"Why didn't you leave him?" Ask Luke in surprise.

"I've tried it before, but he can find me easily. And if I leave, what will happen to my daughter? I'm afraid I won't be able to see her again if I run off on my own, and if I take her, I'm not sure if I can take care of her alone."

"Thank you for helping me. But you better leave quickly, I'm afraid he'll come back with his friends." The woman thanked Luke for helping her, and he also reminded Luke to leave immediately.

"If I leave, what will happen to you and your daughter?"

"Just relax, I can handle all this, and for my daughter, she's safe with my parents. My husband won't bother her there" said the woman.

"Let's just say, how about you come with me?" Ask Lukas.

"Don't get me wrong, I mean you can work at my place, you can do your homework, right?" Luke quickly explains for fear that the woman misunderstood him.

"Do you mean to be a housekeeper at your place?" The woman asked to be sure.

"Right" Luke nodded.

"But will my husband not find me? And can I meet my daughter if I work at your place?" She was worried that her husband would find her, and she didn't want it to make her unable to meet her daughter.

"Just calm down, he can't possibly find you. After all, my residence is very safe from people like him. And you can also invite your daughter to stay at my place." Luke said with certainty.

"If so, then I want to be a maid at your place!" The woman immediately agrees to work at Luke's place.

"Then wait a minute, I'd like to pick up some of my stuff next door."

Luke immediately took his belongings, then after that he went to look for a taxi along with the woman.

While waiting for the taxi, Luke asked the woman's name, "What's your name?"

Although they had been chatting a lot, Luke still did not know the name of the woman, so he took advantage of the opportunity to ask.

"My name is Monica."

"Monica, a pretty name, is perfect for a beautiful woman like you. My name is Lukas." By the way."

Hearing Luke praise her made Monica embarrassed, her face reddened and she did not dare to look at Luke directly.

'I'd better buy a car, so I don't have to wait this long.' Inner Luke, he planned on buying a car to make it easier to travel.

Moments later a taxi passed by and Lukas called out to him immediately, after the two of them got into the taxi, Lukas immediately said his destination, "Go to the riverfront villa."

"Vila on the river? Isn't that the most elite villa in the city?" Monica asked confusedly.

"You know that?" Luke doesn't think Monica found out about the villa.

"Of course, I'm sure everyone in this town knows about the villa as well."

'It looks like the villa has a good reputation here, ' Luke's inner self. He did not expect that the villa given by the Lawrence family would be that famous, he thought that it was just an ordinary expensive villa.

Moments later they arrive at the riverside villa area, Luke pays a taxi and leaves with Monica afterwards.

"It's amazing, even the outer area of this villa is so beautiful." Monica was amazed by the beauty she saw.

"This is my first time here" he added.

"Come on" Luke led him towards the villa, as soon as he arrived in front of the gate, the two guards immediately greeted them, "Welcome back, Master."

Luke nodded lightly without saying a word and entered through the gate. Monica looked at Luke in disbelief, not expecting Luke to be the owner of the famous villa.

He initially thought that Lukas only wanted to stop by for a moment to look around, but it turned out that he was the owner of the villa.

"Is that woman his lover? That woman is lucky."

"Okay, but he doesn't seem to have any intention of firing us."

"really? Well, then, we don't have to worry about finding a new job."

The two of them wondered who was the woman that Luke had just brought. But what's more important for both of them is to keep working there.
