“B-kill him!” Edward cried out in fear. “Fight this demon threat at the same time!"
The demon hunters mixed in with the soldiers guarding the king were waiting
this commanding. They all simultaneously jumped out and attacked
Diablo.
“Overcoming our fear of you? Too easy! You might think of yourself
invincible as an Arch Demon, but we found a demon like you in
our homeland all the time!”
“No demon can last long if you destroy the physical form
they are! It was the same for Arch Demon!”
“We have done our homework on how to deal with demons like
yourselves. Don't underestimate humans!”
The hunters worked together as they shouted at him, going into formation
which deadly. They have laser-like focus on Diablo,
regardless of what their humiliation would imply. Diablo, however,
having a name, and the Arch Demon being named was a level above the norm
menacingly.
“What? No answer, then?”
“Everything is just gritting and no bites, eh?”
Swinging chains of special compounds inspired by sacred elements, they
pinning Diablo down, tying his arms and legs. Their first step
it had worked, and it made them stop carefully.
The Eastern Empire, good or bad, had more experience with demons
destroyer of the West. This is supposedly because the demon stronghold in the East is in control
a great amount of power, but after all, it also means that the
demon hunters are really fighters who are trained in the field of antidemon tactics.
An Arch Demon was truly a legend in the West, but to the east, the,
they had done extensive research on demons, dividing them inward
category and create strategies for each type.
The leader of the demon hunters has regarded Diablo as the demon of the century
mid, but given the status if he was named, it seems better
treating it as 'ancient'. A member of the demon lord, talented
with great strength, intelligence, and perhaps even a vast army of relatives.
The threat cannot be underestimated.
But the leader still believes in their chances of winning. She has been
experienced some Battles with the devil himself, and he never
doubting the decision-making skills he learned from battle
that's.
“So, are you ready?”
That was why Diablo's question seemed so confusing to him.
“A-what?”
“I mean, if you have already made preparations, I will appreciate the initial signal.”
The leader failed to understand what that calm demon meant. “...Huh?” Him
hiding his worries, trying to sound quite challenging. ”What
you said you wouldn't stand in our way, no matter what we were
do?”
“Why should I do it? With all the effort you've made clear, I
don't want to interfere, you know. It will only make that fear so much more
clear.”
“Heh... Don't mess with us, demon. Your pride will
be the end of you!”
Diablo's joke sent a hint of coldness in the minds of the demon hunters. Demon
like he often looked down on people, overestimating their skills
by oneself. With that knowledge in mind, Diablo did not wander far away from the
typical devil script. However, this time, he delivered these sentences
while already chained to the ground. Even an experienced demon hunter
will be hampered by this much confidence.
But these are professionals. They did not delay a single second, however,
execute on a training routine that they repeat day after day.
“...You will regret your arrogance in hell! Kill him now!
Thunderbolt!!”
Like King Edward, journalists from countries around the world, and Saare and
the entire Lubelian royal guard looked, Diablo baked with flashes
electric blinding.
“How about that! What does it feel like natural lightning that is not infused by magic?”
“Devil like you is protected by a layer of barrier, we know. But it's too bad
to you! With our Imperial technology, we can break through your defenses!”
“Devil must be given physical form to impose their will on this world.
With your body destroyed, there is nothing you can do!”
The demon hunters seemed to treat their victory as a reward.
Any power controlled by magicule can be easily blocked by
barriers built for that purpose. In response, the Empire
Timur has been researching weapons that do not rely on magic to work. Tricks
this lightning is one of them, the latest in anti-devil technology, and hearing
which makes Edward's terror a little subside.
“Excellent!” Shouts, relief. “Really, you are a hero from the East! I gotta
raise my wages for that merchant!”
His face twisted happily as he looked at Diablo. The lightning roasts the devil
alive... Or is it? The flash of light had completely enveloped
his body was now, but that smile was still on Diablo's lips.
Only Saare and Glenda understood this at first. It makes them
apprehensive. However, the demon hunter leader was confused about something else.
...This shouldn't have happened. This shouldn't have happened! Why there are no marks
burns on his clothes?!
Then he saw it. The evil, the evil smile.
“K-you...!!”
“Heh-heh-heh-heh-heh. A little effort. Even too little. You think this is enough
disappointing.”
Diablo casually raised his hand. When he did, the chain
tied destroyed.
“Whoa!”
“Nngh!!”
With incredible strength, Diablo snatched the reinforced alloy chain
detached from his body.
“K-you monster!!”
He laughed at the startled words from the leader's mouth.“All right, then,”
diablo said, as if nothing had just happened. “Now for selection test.”
“Tu-wait! It's insane! Why doesn't lightning work on you?!”
Out of disbelief, or perhaps to divert his impending terror,
leaders must ask questions. Diablo was kind enough to
give detailed answers.
“Why are you asking? That easy. I was equipped with a strong resistance
against natural influences, including electrical discharge. Your attack just now was
very little attack on me, it is not even worth building a barrier
defensive to face it. Is it satisfactory?”
The leader started to look trembling. If anything, it was brave for him. The other hunters, though,
noticing the omen behind Diablo's statement, it had already fallen shrieking to the ground.
“Aaaahhhhhh!! Stay away! Just stop! Stay away from me!”
“Tidaaaaak! B-help me!!”
They were first-class demon hunters, fearless warriors, and trained
in battle. But they are not alone. Except for the journalists
protected, everyone who witnessed this scene felt the spine
they're freezing. Edward fainted right where he was standing, foamed at the mouth, and
so did his royal guard.
What the hell just happened? The leader could see it quite well — terror
this incredible, powerful pressure from this demon. Simply put, what Diablo did
just releasing the full load of his aura — but that aura was quite frightening
to kill.
“Oh? So only the three of you passed the exam? Well, I guess you deserve to be praised
for detaining my Lord Ambition. You hereby have my permission to
against me.”
Hearing this, even as he felt terror closing in his throat,
the leader turned. There, just as Diablo had promised, were two others
stand — Saare and Glenda, youth and wild beauty.
Seeing those who seemed unperturbed helped the leader
exerting his exhausted mind. Yeah, correct. It's still fine. Si
Battlesage does not disappoint us — is really a hero of the West. My hunter
it may be ready, but with these two hands, the win is not yet
ours...
Pushed, the leader turned towards Diablo.
“Heh... Heh-heh. Yes, you are the servant of the demon lord. You're just as good inside
bluffing as no doubt from him.”
“I know! You mentioned Lord Ambition earlier, didn't you? It takes a demon lord class monster to use that skill — and if the Demon Arch is the highest level of the demon race, it is impossible for you to become a demon lord! That proves you're a liar!”
In the East, this fact is considered highly classified research. The devil, he knows, has
the upper limit on the number of magicules that their bodies could store. This is a sequence
the amounts are set for them, although they can differ in form
other power. Older demons will have more experience in
combat, allowing them to form a better strategy
to keep their magic and squeeze everything they can out of it. This too
it is one of the reasons not to be afraid of the devil as often
done by people, because if you know the magic limits of your enemies, you can work with
it was, no matter how they tried to turn it around. Knowledge is
strength, and having the right knowledge can prevent a clear bluff
from mind.
“I understand. That's right and wrong. It is true that demons like myself are limited
in magicule amount. However, it is possible to evolve to a level
next, assuming the right conditions are met.”
“Hah?”
“I think Red will be a pretty famous example for you to know?”
“Si red? What are you..?”
But then a certain demon flashed through the mind of that leader. One of those that is
famously, his entire existence was an exception that proved that rule.
“Simple enough to earn the title of demon lord, you know. Are necessary
it is only one of us to build our strength up to the level
maximum, then live for at least two thousand years. Someone even
no need to work for it.”
Diablo made it sound easy, but in reality, it was very difficult.
As a spiritual life form, demons naturally enjoyed fighting.
Even if they were never summoned to the physical world, fighting was part of it
constant of life in the spiritual world. Lose in a fight there will be
lowering magicules from your upper limit, which means that some demons
actually moving from time to time. One of them reaches the maximum,
then sustaining it for two millennia, basically means
it evolved into the Arch Demon and built an invincible record throughout
time it was — even without a single loss.
The demon hunter leader was unaware of that, but even he had a premonition
that Diablo greatly underestimated the stakes. But that reference is just like that
about the Red is what caught his attention — Diablo talked about
those absolute rulers, the demons were famous, as if they were ordinary friends.
That's not possible. Of all these things, it is impossible........
