Pulchritude Case

Two dice are thrown on the table. Each one shows the numbers two and three. Adrian kicked the leg of the table—some people laughed at him. The bet is lost in the hands of the opponent. He left the gambling table and chose to sit on the high bench in front of the bar table. Ask the bartender to give him a glass of whiskey. Adrian spent a lot of money on such useless activities. Millions of dollars have disappeared and are fruitless. Lately bad luck approached him.

"Dumb." he said, then downed the alcohol. "Truly shit!"

A man patted her on the shoulder. "Oh, hi losers." He showed off his winning money.

"Hey, buddy. Just look at him—frustrated because he always loses." he continued with a loud laugh.

Adrian held back his anger. He pushed the man and chose to leave. It's enough to hear a prank from the jerk. Better stay away and ignore it. He did not want to create a commotion in that place, or else the heartbreaking incident would reoccur. That payback once left someone dying and ruined a nightclub. The impact of his actions ended in a loss bill and had to deal with the police. Let it be the last time.

His life was so bad and scandalous.**** free, alcohol, nightclubs, gambling and drugs have become part of his life. For years Adrian lived in a dark world like this. The intention to stop had actually been cleared in his mind, but I don't know when to start. However, if it stopped now then where would he get the money for his survival. Never felt like sitting in school was sad. Making money by illegal means is the only way to survive in this country.

"What's with this face of yours, hm? You need some refreshment?" A seductress approached him. He kissed Adrian's lips.

"Go away. I'm being lazy to respond to anything." Get rid of him.

Adrian turned his back, but the woman was not discouraged. She grabbed the nape of her neck and kept trying to seduce Adrian. Sitting on his lap, his dirty hands touched the young man's chest. Adrian is really uncomfortable, not usually he rejects anyone who teases him like this. Without saying much, he stood up and decided to walk out of the bar.

"Adrian?" call a girl from the end of the alley. He drew closer and a light illuminated his face.

Adrian scrunched his forehead. "Who?"

"You forgot?"

He tried to remember. Staring at him from head to toe. "Oh, I remember. You're that scented woman, right?"

Yep, it's Deline. From behind the girl appeared a man walked over.

"Who is he?" Adrian pointed at the man. "What do you want?"

Deline explained. Now the three of them are in one car. Towards that rascal's house. The goal of looking for Adrian is to be curious about what a 'fragrant boy' is'. The girl recalled that she had mentioned something about it. Now they really need Adrian to explain everything to do about the scented boy, the mysterious man and the white night. The man said it was not him who understood, but his mother. He only knew because the mother was a psychic, so such a thing was no stranger to him.

A woman was sitting gracefully in a chair. Small humming while knitting a scarf. His activities stopped when he sensed something unusual that penetrated his sixth sense. Some people muttered from the front of the house. She is Mona, Adrian's mother. The woman resumed her work—then the child entered with two people of different gender. Mona looked at the two. She looks creepy like a female ghost.

"Why did you bring him here?" Mona's question stopped the three men's steps.

"Me-they asked for help from Mom, so I-,"

"Go away. I can't help." Mona got out of her chair and walked towards the room.

"Mother, I beg you." Deline tried to stop him. "I just want to hear an explanation of what a scented child is. Please, tell us."

Mona ignores. He went into the room and locked the door. Previously he had already felt a negative energy that disturbed his comfort. Mona knows Deline is a scented child, she is so liked by astral beings. And obviously the goal is not just to ask that question. He doesn't want to deal with their problems. Mona felt that the matter was too dark to explain. They do not need to know or something bad will be experienced by the children.

Adrian banged on the door of the mother's room. Trying to seduce her—so much as Deline. His plea sounded lascivious and pitiful. Feeling uncomfortable and disturbed by all the groans of pleas from the girl, Mona finally decided to leave the room. Okay, he'll explain, but for the risk Deline and the man behind her have to bear alone. The girl was grateful for Mona's concern for her. That explanation would be very helpful in this investigation.

"Scented child is a term for those born on white nights—white nights itself means when a baby is born at night along with the blooming of the Anguliger Epiphyllum flowers."

They're listening. Epiphyllum Anguliger or in Indonesian means Wijayakusuma flower. In the myths of their country, people believe that the flower has a magical aura and is always associated with mystical things. Children born in the night become dreams of supernatural beings because they are considered to have strong spiritual power. And also someone born on a white night will always have good luck in his life. The day or night in which they were born was the perfect time to perform a devil worship ritual.

While the woman who strangled him was another embodiment of the real being. There was a monstrous creature that had yet to reveal its true form. He's hiding, and he'll probably see Deline on his birthday. About the mysterious man being a 'human', they're the messenger of someone to commit the theft of a corpse and terrorize Yardan. A group of humans who have supernatural knowledge—one of the important conditions for seance of a figure who has not shown himself.

The Phlox flower is related to the mystical, just like the Epiphyllum Anguliger. However, her magical aura was not as strong as the flower. The plant was only as a form of condition to perform worship. What they want to know is related to someone who does the betrothal, while Jasmine—dia was made into a collision by the perpetrator. The child was not born on a white night, the alleged Yardan is wrong. The perpetrator knew them and made his daughter a victim.

"Bring this up." Mona gives a bracelet made of three-color yarn.

Deline. "Mom, there's one more thing I want to ask you."

"What?"

"There are other creatures wearing wedding dresses. He's-,"

"You don't have to be afraid of him. That creature is your admirer. Although her powers aren't as great as those demons, she'll try to protect you from them." Mona said.

"Are you her lover?" ask Mona to Val.

Yeah, the one with Deline wasn't Kevin. However, Val Destavin. The man changed his mind and wanted to work together to solve the case. While Kevin, he can't come because there is important business about his family, so Val is the one who represents. Now they have worked together and anything will be negotiated together.

"Take him. Something terrible has been in love with her since you came here. I can sense that there's an evil energy out there trying to harm you."

Val just nodded. She also feels anxious about her safety after hearing Mona's explanation. All that is beyond his logic—he did not expect if the case turned out to be long-tail and related to occult. And one more thing that surprised Val, Mona said about the Carrolyna— case that was beyond her ability. The girl's problems were much darker than Jasmine's death. It cannot be seen with the special abilities it possesses. Too dark and deep—very deep.

Tino was commissioned by Kevin to review Val's search results. He rummaged through a small cardboard box of papers, documents, case details and a flash drive. Val still keeps it well, so it might make it easier for the satreskrim to summarize the whole incident. Tino pointed her cursor at a file that read the name 'Dariel'. He scrunched his forehead—why does the contents of this flash display the name of another person? Not Val himself.

"This?"

What Tino discovered was shocking. A search on Dariel's behalf showed the results of another issue. He has evidence in the form of a copy of the results of the visa from Doctor Ryo (the first doctor who handled the case of Carrolyna). This is far from everyone's estimate. The results of Dariel's findings are inversely proportional to the assumption that has been the perspective of researchers. Do you remember where Dariel once walked into Val's study? Yep, he's the one who put that thing between his tools. Dariel's goal because the object will certainly be sought by the perpetrator because it shows strong evidence of his behavior.

"I have to go see Prosecutor Val," Tino turned around and grabbed her jacket. However, suddenly a masked man stabbed into his stomach.

He whimpers in pain. Blood gushed through the shirt he was wearing. The man wanted to finish off Tino, raise his knife and tried to stab the satreskrim in the neck. Tino wasn't a weakling— she swiftly dodged, then scuttle her leg. He tried to escape, but the man managed to stop his steps by throwing a knife to stab Tino in the back.

He stood up and approached her. Grabbing the knife lying beside Tino—seeking to commit murder for the third time. Resisting the pain of his stomach and back, he tried to kick him with all his might. The man drooped backwards, Tino stood up and immediately ran away from him. Open the door and walk out of the building. The man continued to chase after her while shouting. Shit, he forgot to bring the car keys, while the guy got closer.

Running while dragging around, he asked for help from anyone passing by on the highway. It seems the perpetrator is not afraid of anyone. He dared to chase her to the streets like now. Not afraid if at any time caught by the officer or mengamuk mob. A red-plated car pulled over—it looks like the driver knew that Tino was in danger. Without further ado he went in and asked the owner to drive his vehicle as quickly as possible.

He looked back. The man was missing—Tino leaned his head on the car seat while holding his stomach which continued to bleed.

"Is someone trying to murder you?" ask the woman.

Tino. "Yes, that's right."

The woman is Floryn—Tino telling me about the incident that just happened. In the midst of serious conversation, suddenly a car from behind hit their vehicle. Floryn yells, his car driving down the highway.

"Damn it! He's after us, "they're both shaken and off balance. "Can you drive any faster?"

Floryn nodded. He stepped on the gas in his car and tried to get away from the perpetrator. Sway ahead of some big trucks and drifting so that the perpetrator doesn't have enough time to catch up. Tino was surprised by his driving ability, he was like a racer. The man breathed a sigh of relief, then asked Foryn to drive him to Val's apartment. He did not name the prosecutor.

"Why not go to the hospital first? Forget your friend, I'll take you to-,"

"Miss, I'm fine. And I'll treat it when I get there. It's an emergency—I'm a cop, completing my duty is far more important than a minor injury."

"Not how much? Your blood is pouring down on my car seat, you could die if you keep pushing."

Tino ignored. He took off the shirt and tore it with an elongated shape, then wrapped it around a puncture wound in the abdomen. He took precautions so that the bleeding did not get worse. Floryn gawked at the field chest and the checkered belly of the satreskrim. Tino glanced at him—he was conscious and covered his chest by crossing both hands.

"Thank you for your help" Tino got out of the car. "Thank you for the card."

Floryn surprised. Hey, since when does he have that paper? The satreskrim secretly reaches into Foryn's wallet and steals her business card.

"I'll call you" the man blinked one eye. "Hurry home and be careful on the road."

Then Tino moved away. He intended to repay his help if this matter had been resolved. The policeman walked quickly to the elevator and pressed the number button to get to Val's apartment. After arriving, he knocked on the door and pressed the bell many times. The owner did not come out, did he sleep? Oh, goddamn. Tino glanced at her watch, it's already at one night. Obviously the prosecutor was dreaming in his sleep.

Suddenly someone held his shoulder. "Hey, what-what,"

He turned his body. "Work Val?"

"Hey, you. What's wrong with you?" Val is surprised to see the condition of the man in front of him. His entire body was covered in blood that was still wet.

"Will I tell you, can we go in now?" the door sounded panicked.
