Pulchritude Case

Pulchritude Case
PROLOGUE: BEGINNING

Colorful flower arrangements surround the mourning room, a photo of a girl on display above the coffin. The aroma of incense, the fragrance of candles and the fragrance of certain flowers add to the impression of grief. A group of people dressed in all black were praying and crying for the departure of a loved one. The funeral process will take place soon, the black chests begin to be lowered into the burrow.

...'Carrolyna Winter's'...

His name has been engraved on a cross-shaped tombstone. He died horribly in a dead-end alley. His body was so empty that it was not recognized by the family. Police are still investigating the case, but have not found a bright spot. However, in the midst of the warm news that spread the family decided to close the case and mengikhlaskan departure of the child. Of course this is very surprising to the public, the strangeness is increasingly felt when the family claimed his son died from burning himself.

A well-dressed man pressed the power button on the television remote. Fed up and lazy to hear the incongruous and obscure news. The reporters seemed to be changing the story to sound horrible. With the aim of making the topic of news about the case remains trending among the wider community. The nosy fingers of journalists should be taught a lesson. They don't think before they make a news story.

"A spectacle like this should not be airworthy on the television station, if the children hear it they must be afraid." commented the man, then went to prepare breakfast.

"Dad,"

"Oh, my daughter is awake." The 11-year-old girl climbed into a chair.

"Have you washed your face?" ask the father while putting a pot of mushroom soup on the table.

"Em—ya," she replies half sleepy.

"Quick breakfast, then shower for school."

Yardan Kim, male of Korean descent. A widower son of one. Already 2 years he became a single parent, the wife divorced him because it was considered unable to meet the needs of life. Yardan is just a taxi driver, she lives in a small and modest apartment. Homework such as cooking, washing and cleaning has become his daily life.

Jasmine Kim—little girl who still sits in elementary school. She has a history of epilepsy (ayan), when Jasmine is afraid of something or her symptoms appear she will behave abnormally and convulsively. Epilepsy is a genetic disorder of the presence of disorders of brain cells due to excessive electrical activation in it.

Yardan took her daughter to the bus stop. The man realized that someone was watching the two from across. A few purplish-black-clothed men continued to stare at the two endlessly. Yardan tried to shift her gaze, she herself felt uncomfortable with the strange person. As the bus passed, the shadows of the mysterious people began to disappear.

"Jasmine, remember Dad's message?"

"Don't go home alone before Dad picks you up. Yes Father, Jasmine understands. Dad's drugs I'll see you later,"

Yardan returned his daughter's hand. The girl runs into the school yard, as Yardan knows Jasmine's life in the school is ostracized. Many of his peers were afraid of Jasmine. Of course they know what the condition of the girl is. Although often a joke, but Jasmine always lived her days with a smile.

Yardan herself did not have the heart to see her daughter become a joke, she wanted Jasmine to undergo home schooling rather than having to mingle with people who lowered the child's mentality. Yardan is trying to raise money to be able to realize this desire. She wants her daughter to be happy and not be bullied by bad kids. Although the current teacher at her school had always been kind to Jasmine, but it was not enough to comfort her.

Every day worrying about Jasmine's condition at school, she can't keep an eye on her or defend her while being bullied. However, the boy always convinces the father to believe that school is not as bad as he thought.

Only three months later he became part of a transportation company. A PT that is said to be almost bankrupt. Currently the competition in the world of work is very hard especially he is only a male graduate of high school. Finding a job more than this is very difficult for him, this is the only source of making a living for survival.

Highlight Yardan's eyes could not be separated from the building where Jasmine honed her knowledge, again she was surprised by some people dressed in black who stood staring at the building. Yardan tried to calm herself— took a breath and once again wanted to see those guys earlier. Her eyes widen—they're gone. Yardan rubbed her eyes, then gently hit her head. Trying to think positively and distract him from the bad things that attacked his current premonition.

The sound of the plane rumbling up there, the transportation device was about to land. Domestic flights from overseas featured 195 passengers disembarking from the plane. One of the passengers was a young girl with shoulder hair. He was dragging a suitcase, looking around looking for someone. Deline Dilbara, 23-year-old girl— just received a master's degree in education. After completing her education abroad, now Deline returned to her home country with the aim of continuing her studies to a higher level.

"There he is!" Deline walked quickly to a man who was sleeping while sitting down. He poked the man's ear hole to wake him up.

"Oh—hai? You've reached—ah, I'm so sleepy. Come on, let's go home." take him in while yawning.

Deline grunts coldly. "instead of looking for me just sleeping here. You suck,"

The formal-clothed man put on a cobbled face, he nudged his forehead. "Manja bang—alahlah, let's go home. I'm tired and sleepy" he took Deline to the car.

"You know? From 2 hours ago I was waiting for your arrival, so please don't nag on." she continued, opening the car door to let Deline in.

"Let me drive," Deline snatched the car keys.

"Huh?"

"You are tired and sleepy. It's very dangerous And, I don't want to die yet. Do you understand? So here let-,"

"No, I'm afraid if you're driving. Don't act and be quiet." He took the keys back and started the car.

Danesh Dilbara is the older brother of Deline, a 173 cm tall man who works as an account manager at his father's company. The siblings separated after her parents divorced, Deline was taken to Canada from the age of 9 and eventually returned to her home country after 14 years. Their meetings are rare, and Danesh and Deline always communicate via social media to maintain their relationship.

While in Canada, Deline lived with her mother. However, after her mother died a few weeks ago she chose to return to her father's family. With great pleasure Danesh welcomed his sister, for a long time he wanted her to live together again.

"Dad at home?" ask Deline.

"At his new wife's house," Danesh glanced at his sister, he fell silent after hearing her answer.

"Why?"

The girl shook her head.

"Tomorrow I will take you to meet him" Danesh said. The girl nodded too.

Their Mercedes Benz has entered the elite area, heading towards his home. His car just crossed with a blue taxi with a black line on the door. Taxi driven by Yardan, the day before noon he had to pick up the child. At average speed he drove his cab towards the school building.

The students had started to come out, they were running towards their parents. Jasmine was frowning looking for the whereabouts of the father, with a pink bag she ran to a blue car. Accompanied by a small laugh, Jasmine was so happy to see the presence of Yardan who greeted her by stretching out her hands. Jasmine immediately sped up her run, she hugged the father with warmth.

"Ow Dad's daughter seems tired-," Yardan wiped the sweat that came out from Jasmine's temple. "What do you want to have lunch with today?"

"Whatever Dad cooks for Jasmine," she replied as she got into the car.

"Em, but Dad today doesn't want to cook." teased him.

"Why?"

"Because I really want to buy pizza at the purple restaurant. I think Jasmine wants to eat that too, so how about we have pizza this afternoon?"

Jasmine smiled widely, she nodded excitedly. "Yes, Dad. Then I'll have to."

"alright. Let's head to the purple restaurant! Let's go!" Yardan immediately stomped on the gas of her car excitedly. Today she gets tip money from passengers, so she intends to make her daughter happy by eating at a restaurant.

"But-" said Jasmine suddenly. Yardan looked over with the intention of asking. "Do you have the money to buy that pizza?"

Jasmine was very understanding of her father's economic state, she did not want to trouble the father to obey what he wanted. There was a lot of desire from the little girl, but she held it back because of the economic conditions that were said to be lacking.

Yardan rubbed Jasmine's hair. "You don't worry, today I have enough money to make Jasmine happy."

The father and son were finally able to enjoy the soft bread wrapped in mozzarella cheese that melted in the mouth. Not to forget the carbonated cold drink to complement their lunch today. Jasmine looked happy, she had a wide smile on her face. Yardan was relieved and happy to see her daughter eating voraciously, with hard work she finally managed to comply with Jasmine's wishes. Actually the desire to eat pizza in a purple restaurant has long been desired, but after 5 months the new father can make it happen.

Not having time to finish the food on the table, Jasmine suddenly reacted. His epilepsy was relapsing, the diners were surprised to see the little girl. Jasmine convulsed with her eyes open, not only was that this time she got wet on the spot. Everyone watched him feel disgusted, they lost their appetite. In this place is generally visited by moneyed and classy people, they are very minimal tolerance and judge Yardan as the person in charge of Jasmine.

"That's disgusting—that kid's wetting the bed."

"Why are the servants here letting people like them in? This is fucking crazy!"

"Hey, quickly remove them—my appetite is instantly gone."

"Look at that, she's blue (jasmine's body looks blue the effects of relapsing epilepsy)."

The whole room drove the two away violently, no doubt from them protesting loudly the restaurant workers for letting sick people into the classy restaurant. As the chaos worsened, the restaurant manager finally came out and scolded Yardan with various sarcastic words. Hearing and seeing the treatment of the people around him was so painful, without being asked to have tears trickle down while holding Jasmine out of the restaurant. The poor treatment of the rich man made him hurt. Never mind, Yardan had no time to lament this pain. He had to bring Jasmine home.

Yardan gave the child a sedative so that the seizures he experienced subsided. In some cases, a full-blown seizure makes the person completely unconscious. Once conscious, the person looks confused for a few minutes or hours. For the case of epilepsy there is no treatment that can cure the disease. As unfortunate as Jasmine's fate was, she had to accept this harsh reality all her life.

°°°

Pop genre music accompanies the atmosphere tonight. Deline plays a song about the story of someone who does not give up easily about the circumstances of his life. Rachel Platten's song 'Fight Song' has been on the playlist lately.

The girl pulled the social media page, she read various things presented in cyberspace. A short video featuring a short story about the life of a person who lives his daily life as a teacher. The video shows him always sincerely and patiently teaching one of his students who has a genetic disorder. Deline was touched, in her heart also wanting to do the same as that person.

Helping underprivileged families who want their sons or daughters to receive proper tutoring. Especially like children who are diagnosed with special disorders, really little angels like them should be given special attention in order to be able to be with other normal children. There have been many cases that Deline knows, many of which are traumatized and isolated by some people because they are considered imperfect. It is so wonderful to see such senseless man's behavior, his tolerance and empathy have been broken. Well, although not all.

"Del, I've reviewed some of the campuses that will be your prospective study place. Here's a few options," Danesh goes into Deline's room while thrusting the iPad she's holding.

Deline shifted some pictures along with articles about each campus of Danesh's choice. He still chooses and nothing matches his taste yet.

"Sister Dan, I appreciate your efforts, but I'm not satisfied with these colleges yet" said Deline honestly.

"Huh? Wh-why? See this, there's Cinderella University, Paradise University and also-,"

"Yeah, I don't know. Just send the article to my cell phone, later I will read it again." between her while smiling thinly.

All right, Danesh won't force it. Maybe now Deline is tired because of the long journey from the flight earlier.

"Okay, I'll send it. You just take a break, sorry to bother." Danesh twisted his body to get out.

"But all of a sudden I wanted to become a private tutor who offers learning services for parents who want their children to be home educated." Deline's words stop Danesh's steps.

"Suddenly?"

"Why? That's wrong?"

"No, that's good. I'll try to get your legal permission to become a teacher. And I'll promote you." He was very supportive of his decision.

"Thank you, brother, you are the best. I love you so much,"
