Becca reads all the mysterious letters she finds in the drawer. He can conclude that, the letters only contain all the curses and exchanges conducted by David to the sender. Becca thinks it's likely that the person who sent the letter was a close friend of David's.
'Maybe I'll have to ask David, ' Becca's inner self while tidying up the scattered letters.
From a distance Becca's ears can hear the sound of a cell phone ringing. He stood up and ran to pick up the phone call.
Becca stopped raising her call, seeing Ben's name on the notification. Honestly, he wanted to keep his distance from his best friend. At least in a while. As a result, Becca also shifted the red phone-shaped icon on the screen of her phone, a sign that she had chosen not to talk.
"I'm sorry Ben.." murmured Becca with a long sigh. He put his phone back on the nightstand. However, moments later Becca's phone shook again. A text message came in from Ben.
...'Becca, pick up the phone. It's about Tara! he's in the emergency room!"...
Becca's eyes immediately rounded perfectly. His heart was hit by a loud throb. He began to be overwhelmed with anxiety, because he was so worried about the state of Tara. The girl is now rummaging through several corners of her house, trying to find her car keys.
"Come on. Why is this happening now!" becca complains who still busy themselves to do the search.
The phone rings again. This time Becca doesn't have to think long to pick up Ben's call.
"Ben, how's Tara doing?" timpal Becca, get to the point.
"He's still in surgery" Ben replied from across the phone.
"Is he okay? what happened to him?"
"He's been robbed by Becca. Tara had two stab wounds to her stomach." Ben's voice sounded vibrating. The snorting of his nose also crossed Becca's hearing. A sign that the man was trying to hold back his tears.
Becca smothers her own mouth. The face that had been panicking turned into a whimper. A few drops of clear liquid finally escaped from both of Becca's eyes. He felt very sad about the incident that happened to Tara. A few hours ago, my friend sounded fine. Even seemed cheerful as usual.
"Tell me that she'll be fine." asked Becca, who was adorned with a little sobbing.
"A-a-I don't know, Becca. I hope so.." said Ben. "You're going to be here, right?"
"Yes, of course. But I can't find my car keys yet." Becca rolled her eyes around. Still trying to find a small object that serves to start his car. Occasionally his hand rubbed the tears that had been dripping on his cheek.
"Then, I'll jam-"
"No, no need Ben. I'll just go with Jack!" becca said, accidentally cutting out Ben's sentence. He happened to see Jack just got back. It can be seen through the window. Jack appears to have parked the car in his yard.
Becca turned off the phone. He then rushed out of the house and approached Jack. He told everything to the tall man.
Jack glued and mute. As if he was thinking hard. Actually he has something important to do right away. But Becca's cry makes Jack worried.
"All right, get in the car!" get Jack, who ultimately decides to help Becca. Both are now in the car. They drive when it gets darker. The orange glow is only slightly above the sky.
On the way, Becca and Jack see a lot of police cars in several places. It seems like something has happened in the city of Louisiana. There are even some locations that require Jack to slow down the car, because it is so full of streets against the incident that occurred.
"What's going on?" becca asked, looking out the car window. In the direction where people are crowding.
"It looks like there have been several robbery incidents today" Jack said as he continued to balance his steering gear.
"really? daytime you mean? that's stupid, what kind of bad guy did it?!" Becca rounded her eyes in disbelief.
"People who are addicted to Becca. Those who crave drugs, but don't have enough money to buy them." Jack explained calmly.
Becca was silent for a moment. He just realized that Jack seems to know too much. Makes Becca immediately suspicious, if Jack has a connection with the incident that has occurred. The girl looked up at Jack. Making a probing look.
"How do you know, Jack? did the shooting at the party have any connection? are you involved with all this?" Becca asked a question. He asked Jack for an answer.
"I don't think so, Becca. The person who did the shooting at the party only had the guise of revenge. I mean, he was just aiming for Aaron to be killed." Jack paused for a moment and continued, "and as for me, I made sure that I wasn't involved with any of this at all." Jack explained as he turned the steering wheel. He had already entered the area of the hospital environment where Tara was being treated.
"You owe me a lot of explanation, remember that! you need to explain everything when I get back!" becca responds with a frown. He wants to talk to Jack. But the situation is now very urgent.
After the car stopped, Becca immediately rushed out and ran through the hospital. He can't wait to find out about Tara.
Jack froze in his car. Staring blankly at Becca who was busy running. He thinks hard. Especially since he got dozens of calls on his phone. Jack accidentally put his phone in silent mode. He did it because he didn't want to be disturbed. Especially when she was with Becca.
With a deep breath, Jack finally gets out of the car and follows Becca. He also accidentally left his phone in the car. The man entered the hospital and walked to the emergency room.
From a distance, Jack can watch Becca hugging Ben. Becca seemed to immerse her face in the shoulder of the man she called the friend. Both are crying for each other. But Ben's cry more subsided than Becca's whimper whose roar can be heard clearly.
Jack stopped his steps. Her chest felt a little tight, when she saw there was already a man who had managed to calm Becca down. To make the girl stronger to deal with her problems.
'You should know Jack. You're not a man who deserves to be on Becca's side, Jack smiled thinly. He turned around, then undoed his intentions. Jack wants to get back in the car, and continue the work he was supposed to do.
Jack could've walked up to Becca, and told Ben to get out of the way. But he chose not to do it. Jack just feels self-knowing, if the life he has is very complicated. That was one of the reasons that made him not want to have a serious relationship with a woman.
Meanwhile, Becca still feels at home in Ben's arms. Or indeed Ben who continues to make Becca trapped in his arms. Especially when I see Jack coming.
Ben could see Jack from afar. Fortunately, Becca's position was turned back to Jack's whereabouts. That's why Ben deliberately chose to lock his mouth tightly. He also tightened his arms. Hopefully the treatment is able to make Jack squeak and leave. Ben did, he had managed to drive Jack away so smoothly.
