Becca slowly moves away, so Ben lets go of her embrace. His head was bowed in lethargy. The cold started to feel on his body. He now wrapped both hands into his own body. Rain drops seemed to roll on her beautiful face.
"Come on, we better get back to the car!" take Ben. Until Becca answered with a nod of the head.
Ben immediately brought Becca back home. While in the car, the two fell silent. Especially Becca, she really doesn't know what to say. Just this time, his brain felt empty when he was with Ben. Because he now felt reluctant to talk about anything.
"Becca, I don't want my statement to keep bothering you. Don't think about it too much, really, I don't want to be part of your burden." said Ben Lirih. His eyes kept on the front. Trying to drive very carefully.
"It's okay, Ben." Becca answered briefly. He did not dare to look at Ben. The atmosphere between the two felt very awkward.
"Becca, no matter what happens, I hope you'll still accept me to be my best friend" Ben said. Becca again just answered with a nod of her head.
Arriving at home, Becca quickly removed her seatbelt. Then take Ben to stop by for a moment. After all, his best friend was also drenched like him.
"Is David at work?" ben asked, closing the door. He walked after Becca from behind.
"Yes, as always," Becca said. "Oh yeah, you can clean up in the bathroom downstairs!" he continued while walking up the stairs, precisely to Jonas' room. Becca is going to lend Ben a suit. He then went to his room to clean up.
After a few minutes, Ben came out of the bathroom. She immediately picked up the clothes Becca had provided on the sofa.
"Hi Ben," said Jonas, who had just appeared. He's galloping towards the kitchen. Ben followed her because he was a little thirsty.
"You and Becca why are the rain? aren't you guys in a car?" jonas asked while lighting the stove to make hot chocolate.
"My car broke down. So..." Ben snorted for a moment and continued, "we're kind of in trouble!"
Jonas just wanted to return Ben's words. He went back to making his hot chocolate. Jonas also did not forget to offer it to Ben. The two now sat next to each other enjoying a glass of hot chocolate. Their attention was fixed on the television in front.
"Ben, you like Becca, don't you?" jonas asked suddenly. The question caused Ben's eyes to round. He was quite surprised.
"You think?" Ben tried to calm down.
"That's very clear isn't it?" Jonas was sure. "Becca was stupid. He didn't realize it until now" he added with an incredulous headband.
"Here you go, please don't talk about it anymore" Ben replied trying to relax.
"Since when?" Jonas tried to continue the topic.
"Oh, I forgot."
"It must have been a long time, to the point that you've forgotten the time. Becca's really stupid!" jonas comments, then goes on to sip the hot chocolate slowly.
On the other side Becca turns out to be standing on the stairs. His footsteps stopped when he heard Ben and Jonas talk. Thinking in his mind, how long had Ben liked him? guilt is back to haunting. There are many memories when he is like a fool who continues to flirt with other men. Even without thinking about how Ben felt. Becca did not think out of the defense that Ben did until now.
Jonas glanced at Ben who seemed to struggle with hot chocolate. She feels something is strange about the atmosphere between Becca and Ben. Not as usual. Her sister was now silent and lowered her head.
"Did something happen between you?" jonas asked with a fairly high tone of voice. Until it can be caught by both Ben and Becca's ears.
"A snot like you don't need to know!" sahut Becca's. He desperately wanted to stuff his sister's mouth with something. At least with a piece of bread.
"You better learn, Jonas!" said Ben to chimed in on Jonas.
"What?!" Jonas couldn't believe it, he was shocked. Though his intention to start the conversation, just want to melt the atmosphere.
The bell sounds. Everyone's attention is headed towards the door. Becca who happened to be standing immediately opened the door.
"Is Jonas there?" pierce Anna with a short smile.
Hearing Anna's voice, Jonas rushes to his feet and meets. He couldn't contain his feelings of pleasure.
"Jonas, you've got to come with me for a second!" anna was serious.
"All right!" jonas answered while tidying up the clothes he was wearing.
"You don't want to stop by first?" bargain Becca is friendly to Anna. But he immediately got a headband, a sign that Anna refused his invitation. Becca lets Anna and Jonas go. For some reason that day, he had absolutely no intention of preventing Jonas' departure. He just doesn't want to be as overprotective as David. Perhaps one of the reasons, Becca does not want to be equated with her father.
"Becca, I better get home too!" said Ben who was right behind. Becca turned and nodded her head. Then let Ben go along with his car.
...***...
Becca was alone at home. She has peeked and watched Jack's house dozens of times. But the man he sought did not come. The girl now steps into David's room, intending to find his car keys. Becca feels that David hid it from her. Especially after a big fight that caused all his credit cards threatened to be blocked.
Becca was busy ruffling things in David's room. Especially in the drawers that are in small cabinets near the mattress. He continued to search, until he finally found an object that attracted attention. That's dozens of letters that David keeps in the bottom drawer. Becca's forehead certainly shriveled in wonder. He immediately opened one of the letters.
'Dear my friends, I'm glad we continue to have a good relationship. Especially hearing the news of your health and your two children. As for how difficult you are to take care of them, I think you should be able to be patient. Stay who you are. I suggest you take them on a short vacation. And forget your work for a while...'
"Oh, it turns out that the idea of a vacation was a suggestion of this person?" muttered Becca while flipping the letter in her hand. Trying to find the name of the sender. Nil, Becca couldn't find a single name. There is only the letter 'H' as the initials of the name written at the end of the letter.
"H? who?" Becca points her eye seeds to the upper right. Trying to remember the closest person to David who has a prefix with the letter H.
"Harry?" Becca only found one name. Yiatu is a man of full stature, who lives a few blocks from his home. He immediately shook his head firmly, for it was impossible for someone like Harry to send his letters to David. Moreover, the two had absolutely no close relationship.
Becca now sits cross-legged on the floor. Then he took all the letters he found. Open one by one to find answers to increasingly passionate curiosity.
