Chapter 6 The black sheep

Prince Aslan stands next to the mysterious body of his father.

"Dad.... I didn't expect you to be like this? Whoever did it, I'll make sure he gets the punishment he deserves" Commander Arga then stood next to Prince Aslan. Patting his shoulders slowly. As if I was sorry about what happened.

"I didn't expect either. I'll find the culprit who did all this" Arga told the prince.

"The culprit has been arrested. She's the girl you brought as a waiter. He's Benazir. I've caught him. I will definitely punish him after the father's funeral," the Prince said fieryly in his anger.

When the healer was called, his father died from venomous snake venom. That poison is the deadliest poison in the world. And the poison only exists in the highest mountains.

It's a rare snake and the antidote is hard to find. All the best healers have been brought in but all say they have no antidote. Finally Mr. Ahmet did not get the antidote for the poison on his body and he died without being able to say his last message.

Everyone looked at the familiar sound of footsteps.

"Mother....." Prince Aslan said when he saw his mother walking towards him.

Some of the king's loyal guards were behind him.

"Is this a conspiracy?" Suddenly Prince Aslan was confused by the right hand of the king who was currently behind the mother.

The mother smiled softly and kindly. But prince Aslan just stood glued.

Prince Aslan was surprised by the arrival of his Mother, who was a fugitive of the Palace, why was suddenly present beside him. How could he enter without a single bodyguard preventing him.

The mother's whisper stood beside her son.

I don't understand all this mother.

Arga was no less stunned. Especially after seeing four palace treasurers standing behind the Queen Safiya Halim.

The Queen only smiled seeing everyone staring at her sharply and questioningly.

"What should we do Queen?" asked the palace treasurer who was standing behind him.

"This one is also preparing an army and we will pay our last respects to the King,"

Everyone was stunned when the Queen spoke as if she was in power. Though he was originally a fugitive of the Palace.

The Queen holds a will about if the King dies then Queen Safiya Halim will inherit the throne.

Queen Safiya Halim smiled at everyone present and was confused by her existence.

"Pooch! Read Mr. Ahmet's will, my husband! The Queen's decree to Iskan and the treasurer then read the important will and there is a palace seal inside. It means the letter is official.

"What!?" Arga stared hard and fiercely.

No way! How could he have come back with that will!

Prince Aslan looked down at his mother.

Now his heart became calm because of the will. In Prince Aslan's mind, if there were no will or king's message then some palace officials would rebel and the army would be divided into sections and split apart.

Queen Safiya Halim smiled and hugged her son.

"Mother...." The prince hugged his mother and this was a fresh start in their relationship which had heated up due to the issue if his mother ran away and cheated on him with his personal bodyguard.

"That's not true. Someone has slandered my mother. Mom doesn't know who. Trust me, I ran away for another reason. The life of the mother is in danger because of this will. There's an insider who's after the throne. While the mother's bodyguard only intended to save the mother's life...."

Prince Aslan looked at his mother. Seeking honesty in his eyes. The prince finally nodded, although in his heart still remains doubt in it.

Her mother was a noble just like Benazir before becoming the wife of Lord Ahmet. Even thanks to the wife who is good at politics, finally delivered Mr. Ahmet to his glory. But unfortunately Mr. Ahmet became self-forgotten and had several concubines.

There is a kind of eternal grudge in the Queen that her son Prince Aslan sees. But if it has not been proven his mother conspiracy against his father then the prince will not be rash this time.

The Arga and Almira Conspiracy

And Almira is very cunning. Benazir's negligence is precisely what he uses to frame him and remove himself from this palace forever.

"Stupid girl! You're gonna die in jail! And nothing will stop me from approaching Prince Aslan!" Almira smiled with a grin.

And it's true.

The evidence makes Benazir will get the death penalty. Prince Aslan found the poison in Benazir's room. And Almira was the witness if the poison was in her room.

But Benazir. If he wasn't the killer.

"If I killed him, why would I be so stupid as to put poison in my room? Does that mean I'm killing myself?"

Benazir said when Prince Aslan met him in the dungeon.

Benazir's body was chained with a very heavy chain. He felt pain all over his body.

Prince Aslan was silent. Almira was annoyed and incited the prince again.

"You will be punished after you are buried" Prince Aslan left Benazir, who looked at him helplessly.

Arga is behind Prince Aslan. Just shut up and looked at Benazir as if he was a stranger.

Benazir stared hatefully at the silent Arga. Benazir suspects that Arga did all this and trapped him.

"You killed my husband?" ask the queen to Benazir who is downcast lost hope at this time.

"I didn't kill him. There's poison in my room. I was accused of killing Mr. Ahmet just because the poison was in my room. Then why did I kill Mr Ahmet? What profit will I get? I'm even just a waitress that Arga brought here. What did I kill him for?"

Benazir's words inexplicably attracted the queen. Especially since he was taken by Arga.

"Guards! Let go of this girl!" The queen's decree made Benazir shocked. Didn't believe his hearing.

Will I be put to death right now. Not tomorrow?

"You will be my right hand!" Suddenly the Queen said so. Somehow the queen believed in Benazir's eyes. And his gut feeling is never wrong.

The mother was very grateful to Benazir for saving her from her own cruel husband. So the arrival of Benazir is considered as a bringer of happiness for him.

The queen will match Prince Aslan with Benazir.

After the funeral is over.

Queen Sagita called everyone to come to the palace.

And there was also Benazir who made everyone very surprised including Prince Aslan.

"My prince has been wrongly arrested. The villain is not this girl. Just because the poison was in his room doesn't prove that he was the culprit. Someone else could have trapped him. So I command all of you to find the real culprit. And those who do, will get a great reward from me" said the Queen.

"Then I release this girl from all charges. All of that is not true. I've investigated myself if he's not the killer. There's someone else in this palace who's been conspiracyin,"

Everyone was shocked and looked at each other. Some say that Prince Aslan did it. There are also those who say that Prince Edric did it. The whispers of the officials made the atmosphere very boisterous.

"Please calm down. The investigation will be conducted after seven days. Now I don't want any noise. These seven days are a time of mourning for all of us. No lights will light up. And only candles will be used for the next seven days" the Queen said, dissolving all those present at the palace.

That made Arga and Almira look at each other.

Benazir was delighted and smiled triumphantly.

Benazir then walked to his room and passed by the stunned Arga and Almira near him.

"You see? Things turn around so quickly?" Said to Arga confidently.

And glanced at the cunning girl Almira with a sweet smile.
